Company Overview

Our team delivers comprehensive plumbing services for residential and commercial clients, featuring pipe replacement and fire sprinkler system installation.

In October 1973, Frank Marrone & Sons Plumbing Co. came into existence through the efforts of Frank Marrone, a skilled Union Plumber hailing from Jersey City. Frank started the business working out of his home in Arcadia for the first four years before leased a building in El Monte for one year in 1977. In the early 1990s, Frank began to take a step back from the day-to-day operations as Frank Jr. Frank Jr. took on more responsibilities. Frank Jr. and Benjamin took ownership of Frank Marrone & Sons Inc. from their parents in 1998 and have continued its operation since then.

Mark conducted a pre-interview about our problem with our central air conditioning unit that was leaking in our attic. It was apparent that he knew his stuff as he was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem. He was so friendly and took his time to fully explain the issue to my husband and offer trouble shooting tips to for future issues. He made suggestions according to what he could afford and wanted to do and didn't try to cross sell or suggest things that weren't urgent. He came wearing a mask and was so polite and careful. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again as he was clearly a master of his craft who prides himself on outstanding customer service!

I went to a Disaster Preparedness Workshop where I learned that it would be desirable to have an automatic gas shut-off valve, also called a seismic valve, installed, particularly since we live in ""earthquake country."" I obtained 4 estimates, which ranged from $660 to $1200. I decided to hire Frank Marrone because he gave me the logical reason why it should be installed in the location where it is (next to my water meter in the ground) and did not not exert any pressure whatsoever for me to sign a contract. I liked the fact that he planned to use a valve that is manufactured in the USA and that all of his employees are legally entitled to work in the USA. Two of his employees came to do the job as outlined in his bid, and were polite and on time at 7 a.m.! When Frank came to inspect their work he told me that he would be sending them back to make an adjustment. I called the city's building inspector, since a permit is needed for this work, and he assured me that the work had been done well, and that this company is known to the inspectors. The first time I had to re-set the valve I realized that the cover was really too heavy for me and I hurt one of my fingers. I told Frank about this, and he had the cover measured and obtained a different one for me that was more manageable, AND he put a bolt on it so that I could lift it without risking another finger mashing incident! This was ""above and beyond"" in my opinion, and I am not sure that he made much profit on this valve installation, having come three times to my house. I would certainly recommend Frank Marrone and Sons for non-routine plumbing work, since they do more big commercial and residential jobs rather than everyday service calls. He is honest, reasonably priced, and does follow up. If all companies would operate like this we would not need to do so much research to find reputable services.
