I'm on the HOA board for my community and I have family with a plumbing engineering background (I am also an engineer myself but in a different field). I hired Bonetti first for a personal task (several items) to see how they perform their work, and they did a good and professional job on the routine plumbing request and had reasonable charges in line with others in the industry.
Afterward, I petitioned them to find a cost-effective solution for a complex water shut-off issue for the board. Of all the vendors, Dan Bonetti had the most professional and well-thought out elegant solution for our board. He understood the problem right away (missing DHRs) and made several trips to our community to analyze the details to find a working solution (all complimentary! since we hadn't signed a work order with them yet), and kept clear communication throughout. He was also one of few vendors that was willing to provide a full solution, including updated water shut-off valve maps so we could provide the homeowners updates for their manuals, and clear labels on the new valves.
Our board also used them for hydrojetting services when we felt that they earned our trust and they did an excellent job with that.
I will personally use their services again and I wholeheartedly recommend them for your plumbing needs as well.

I had 3 separate plumbing issues. I wasn't sure I would have enough money to fix all three, so we started with the toilet. That was a relatively easy fix. Went on to get my tub draining. Next fixed the kitchen sink.
It's $179 minimum for 1 hour of work. He fixed all in under an hour!
I went from having no usable toilet, no draining shower/tub, and a clogged sink to everything working again! These were 3 separate issues that happened all at once.
He was polite, friendly, professional... just great!

I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Their policy of overcharging and then never returning phone calls when the transaction is disputed has to stop. The ""I put a note on the service manager's desk"" is a crock. Either notes are never written or it's their unwritten policy to simply chuck the note in the trash. Since making my report to the BBB, their business rating went from an A+ to a B-.

Not sure why this company's reviews seem to be all over the map...however I have used many plumbers at our dental office over the years and Frank Bonetti Plumbing was recommended to me by another plumbing company who was too busy during the pandemic. Bonetti plumbing came right out and was professional, fast and fixed a severely clogged sink that wasn't ever done completely right years ago. We've used them several times now and the folks on the phone were terrific and efficient and the prices not outrageous. I'd highly recommend Frank Bonetti plumbing and will use them if I have residential needs. The plumber that came out really knew his stuff.

We called Bonetti plumbing because our HOA referred us to them after our shower had raw sewage coming up. The plumber came in the appointment time and spent about 4 hours clearing out the pipes that were clogged. He said that they was some weird grease ball in the pipe that was clogging the water. He also told my husband that this is something that the HOA should reimburse us for and said the bill would come in the mail. He did a great job and was professioal. The HOA said they could not reimburse us because the bill said that ""it was an exclusive use pipe to our unit."" So my husband called the plumber to talk to the technician that did the work and was told he would be given the message. About a week later there was no return call so then I called the company again asking for the technician this time I was told they were unable to contact the technician because he was out for the next 7 months as he was hurt. So I asked if there was someone else that I could speak with and she said the manager will call me back. The manager called me back and I said that I wanted to speak to the technician because I needed to get some clarification about what he said and what was written on the bill. He said oh ok I will have him call you in a couple of days because that's when he was coming back. I said oh I thought he would be gone for 7 months and I was told no he is coming back in a few days. The manager also told me that pipes will start to clog around 10 years of use, even though I told him my neighbor who has lived there longer has had no problems. I never got a return call from the technician but when I called the lady that answered the phone said she will return my call. She left me a voice mail saying that the technician said the bill was correct and that it was an exclusive use pipe.
Bottom line is if you need to get reimbursed by your HOA dont use this company because it seems like they work for the HOA not you the paying customer!

I was on a traffic light one day and I noticed one of there trucks next to me. The truck looked clean and in mint condition, so I figured what the ""hey"". I snapped a picture and fate would have it I need there services. I called and Shari ( very nice and professional lady ) answered the phone. She addressed my requests promptly and scheduled my appointment. Then I had the great pleasure of working with Jack the service technician. This guy is definitely a vet. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was very clean and professional! Found my new plumber. thank you guys.

My tub was clogged, like stopped up clogged. I called a different plumber as they had a $99 drain special but their electric snake and/or plumber couldn't clear the blockage and said that they could fix it but they would need to cut my downstairs neighbors ceiling/wall open. Ummm, that's not gonna work for me, not this time.
Frank Bonetti is the plumber that my HOA uses so I figured I should call them as they ""hopefully"" have a better knowledge of my buildings plumbing system. Lee arrived on time and had on a mask. He had an electric snake but his didn't get the clog either. He informed me that he would need to go back to the office to get a different snake. Once he got back with the thinner snake he went straight to work. Bam! Clog cleared!! It was hair... insert hard eye roll here. Paid for an hour of service which was fine by me as I didn't need to hire a handy man to patch my neighbors ceiling. Thanks again Lee!!

Bonetti Plumbing crews have been repairing a problem in my complex for the last couple of weeks and are doing seriously amazing work - everything is nearing completion and the walkway back to my home has been redone to look even nicer than before their work started. Not sure which neighbor had the plumbing issue, but community living means it affects everyone until the repairs are done.
Mike and Richard have been nothing but professional and courteous every time I've walked by; and their work is outstanding.
""Essential workers"" is a phrase used a little too loosely right now, in my opinion, because resolving plumbing issues seems extremely essential to me - even though you might not agree, until the issue is on your property.

I'm 73, never posted a negative review, but I have to about Bonetti. My toilet was leaking internally; it kept flushing itself. The plumber came out, said he fixed it. He'd come in the afternoon; since the problem was always worse in the morning and evening, when my neighbors in my building were home, I believed him, and paid the fee. But the problem was not fixed. It got worse. My toilet was self-flushing hundreds of times a day. Drove me crazy. I contacted Daniel Bonetti, one of the company's owners. I told him I was sorry to make a fuss. Would he please get back in touch with me? He never did. Why not? What is wrong with these people? Do they think that old people can just get ripped off? A horrible company, in my opinion. Please don't use them.

I work for a Dental Office in Castro Valley and have been using Frank Bonetti Plumbing for many years. Up until recently they have really been dropping the ball on their quality and customer service. At the end of 2019 they recommend that they do some sort of flush to remove all the roots and then put a camera through to make sure that all the roots were taken out. They said they could do it in one day but it took two visits, it was not big deal since we could have the office open. Come January 2020 we had a leaky pipe and called them right away, they came out and they did another flush they said it was roots. I contacted their office and wanted to find out how roots could possible grow and block the pipe in a matter of about 4 weeks. We did not think we should have to pay for the last visit because we had already done the recommended repairs. I don't recall who I spoke to it was either Shary/Diana but they sent me to Dan's voicemail they said he would be in contact. Days go by I never hear from him so I call to follow up, the ladies at the front desk said they can forward me to his voicemail and leave a note on his desk. Again no call back so I called to follow up a third time this time they said when he walks in they would make sure to stop him on the way in . Again no call back so I attempted to contact him once again now this time they said he is going to be gone until Monday (the last 3 follow ups where done in the same week why was this just told me). While all this is going on we had to have them come out to do a test so I email shary directly on a thursday to set it up. I ask her in the email to please let me know when they could come out to perform the test so I could let the person in charge of receiving the results know when to expect the results. I never got an email back on when they would be coming by. I call shary that following Tuesday and ask her if she had received my email and she responded with yes and she had sent the results over for me but there looks like some repairs needed to be done. I asked why no one had contacted me about this and she said she didn't know but that Brian would reach out to me soon . Wednesday rolls around nothing from Brian so I called them and ask if someone can please call me back because we want to get the issue fixed once again they mentioned that they will have someone who handles that to reachout to me. Thursday rolls around still NOTHING by this point I have been beyond patient, Diana answers and I tell her not only has Dan not called me but no one has called me regarding the repairs. This time they say Dan is away and so is Brian on some sort on conference. Not sure why this wasn't told to me before since I had been calling that whole week. Since all this had happened I didn't trust that they sent the results of the test to EBMUD, I contacted the man that was in charge of the results and he said that he had not received the results yet. I called Frank Bonetti Plumbing once again and I spoke to Shary. I ask why the results were not sent over she responded with well it didn't pass so I didn't send them even though she had already confirmed they were sent. I had talked to her days prior and this was never mentioned and it took a week of me call thing to find all of this out. They are unprofessional, have terrible communication, and their customer service is subpar. I would not recommend them to anyone if you want to get the job done right.
