Alvarez & Sons has been our go to plumber for over 40 years. They changed out our electric water heater to a gas unit, ran an elaborate drainage system for our condensate pump, repaired/replaced toilets and faucets, and ran natural gas lines to our stove and outside grill. They are responsive, reliable and their services are reasonably priced.

Frank Alvarez & Sons is a local plumbing business that I'll be happy to hire again. When my water heater suddenly failed, this company was able to respond to me the same day, provide an estimate, order the unit, and have it install within the next day (a holiday Saturday, no less). Their price was fair--it was not the highest nor lowest bid for the job, but I am happy with the value, workmanship and promptness of which we were serviced. The other companies who bid either a) cost less but wasn't a fully licensed/insured plumber b) cost less but was selling an inferior water heater c) cost similar but had a 1-2 weeks wait time d) cost way more for entirely no reason.

When you call Alvarez & Sons, most likely you will be speaking with Dennis Alvarez who is the current head of the company. Dennis an experienced and knowledgeable plumber who will give you his honest opinion--whether something is worth fixing or needs replacing. Dennis oversees a crew of several professional plumbers who were involved in changing my water heater. He would follow up with me during the entire process: beginning with the estimation, during the installation, post installation, maintenance instructions, warranty information, permit filing, inspection scheduling, even providing all the documents for a rebate that I'm eligible for. That is the kind of gold-standard service that is hard to find nowadays. Call him to inquire about your next service, and you'll see what I mean.

Found this company on Google, they had great reviews....they were my 4th estimate for a job that wasn't that complicated (I was told this by the others that came to bid on the job) and they were ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS over the highest bid. That really made me wonder how many ppl who hired them were unwittingly ripped off. Maybe a hundred (or even a few) from bid to bid would be completely understandable, but $1,000 is pretty significant in my book.

As many times as I use Alvarez I am more and more impressed by the courtesy, quality and responsiveness of this team! Timely, fair and always working through issues to completion. No shortcuts and fair pricing. Shane, who has been doing my home (which aside from heating has 7 bathrooms) is a talented plumber as well as an all-around great person. If you need a drain cleaning call someone else.the Job got done ,but they charged me more than doubled somebody had in the past.unfortunately

These guys are the best. I know their pricing is fair as I had been in the remodeling business in the past. I called them when I needed assistance with that work and I have called them when I needed them in my own house. Honest as the day is long and they will go out of their way to help you in an emergency.
