We tried to get a new dishwasher installed today, since the old one was threatening to catch the house on fire. Unfortunately our plumbing is not compatible. Called the suggested plumber (Joe's) who only schedules online and couldn't even give an estimate for over 2 weeks. Called Fox Plumbing and Heating Seattle Bellevue King County and had someone here in about an hour, and was able to start work right away. With luck we'll get our dishwasher by Thursday. Many thanks!

I had the worst experience with fox plumbing. I left work early waiting and waiting for them. About 5 hours later and my bathroom over flowing again i called them and they had no appointment for me. Waste of time.

Had an appointment today, nobody showed up. No call, no nothing. Took work off too. Thanks Fox. You guys are REAL professional.

Fox was easy to schedule and came out to unclog my sink the next day. The tech was professional and solved the issue, but I was totally shocked by the price tag of $370 for simply unclogging my sink. When I called afterwards to understand why it was so expensive, I learned they charge $200/hour plus $100 fee simply to come out for any appointment. WOW. I recently had another plumber replace all my toilets for $75/hour and no extra charges, so very surprised with these rates. Definitely get a quote before you work with Fox and worth shopping around for better rates.

Called to have three toilets reset.
Toilets were dismantled I bought replacement parts: float, overflow, and tank to bowl gasket.
Fox wanted $500 per toilet to install these parts, plus another $275 to reset the toilet!! I don't know how the tech said it with a straight face. I had him set just the base of one toilet ($275). I install new parts myself and assembled tank to bowl (40 mins), and it was my first attempt. I assume if it took me 40 mins, it would have taken him 5 mins. I've since learned, techs tack on 30% to cost of job for their commission. I'll never hire Fox.
I've stumbled across Howard's Plumbing....awesome and honest plumber!!!!
Don't be ripped off with Fox!

Like the rest of the reviewers, I can say the tech was nice and did an OK job. Be sure you ask about the rates, as they are astronomically high. It shouldn't cost over $800 to snake a drain. You are better off calling a smaller company with less overhead for an uncomplicated job like unclogging a mainline. I can highly recommend Sounder Plumbing for most plumbing jobs, but unfortunately they don't do clogged drains. Fox is not a company I would use again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Terrible customer service! The one stair is for when actually spoke to a plumber and he was knowledeage.
The last week has been a disaster and Fox has made it all that much worse. Tuesday night my carbon monoxide detector went off, fire department came out and said it was probably my hot water heater, which they then disconnected. Fox installed the project and their number is on it, so I left them a message that night around 10:30 pm explaining what happened.
Wednesday-- waited until 3pm, still no call back, so I called them. First it took the woman forever to figure out what she had to change the owner of the home. Finally I explained the issue and she said they could send someone out Thursday or Friday from 2-4. First of all, who is NOT working during that time! I finally decided to just book Thursday and I'd figure it out. My roommate thankfully was able to work from home that afternoon.
Thursday 4pm rolls around-- still nothing. I call Fox and they say, oh I had you down for tomorrow. When I explained no, she then said, well I had been going back and forth and she said I had said Friday. Then when I explained everyone I know works during those time periods. She went on to say, well on a Friday afternoon usually companies are ok if you take off early to be home for an issue like this. Um, excuse...you don't know what I do! That comment was completely off...so I just wait, whatever, I'll figure something else out. As I thought about it that night, I didn't really have another option. Ran into my neighbors who said they would be home and could let the person in.
I call back Friday morning (please note, I have not had hot water this WHOLE time!!!), to ask for that Friday afternoon appointment. First the woman cannot seem to understand what I am saying and again says I am not the owner of the home...haven't we already figured this out. She puts me on hold twice, all while I'm trying desperately to get out of the house so I won't be late for work. Finally this other woman comes on the phone, and asks me what the issue is. So I had to go through it ALL AGAIN! Seriously people!?!? Friday 2-4 has now been taken...
Since it doesn't seem like this is going to happen, I ask the woman for a referral. I get that you may not want to send your customers elsewhere, but also-- why not have good service. I tell her to put me on the hold list-- because really what else the fuck am I going to do.
Then I call Beacon Plumbing! Not only are these people so much nicer, they seem to actually understand that I haven't had hot water AND carbon monoxide had been leaking into my HOUSE!! Beacon says they are going to send something that afternoon. That person comes, I talk to them on the hone and they say they need to send out an expert. The expert calls me and said he could come at 7pm! Finally! Not only do they NOT charge extra for coming at night, but they actually care about the problem!
I did finally talk to the plumber at Fox who did the project in my home before and he knew what he was talking about...so one star for having a smart mechanic. However, I will absolutely NEVER use Fox plumbing. Their staff is absolutely terrible, so rude and do not seem to understand the fact that I NEED HOT WATER!
Wow--- what a rant. Ok, but I feel a little better.

Rick, Jose and Matt helped me out and were super professional and courteous. Rick helped me save thousands by instructing me how if I put in the labor of digging the trench through my yard he could install the new water service from the meter to my house and drill through my foundation! Fantastic! So I dug it out after getting the utilities located and Fox plumbing was true to their word. They came out the next day and were fast, friendly and did a clean quality job. These guys treated me like family! I appreciate the courtesy and price and all their willingness to answer my questions.

I did not just fall off the turnip truck yesterday and I know when I am being sold a bad deal. I also know to stay away and not hire them from the start. So here is the deal:
I have a gas furnace not working. I go onto the internet and see Fox is close and has a $29 special for a tune up, what ever that is and involves. I call mentioning the special, telling them about my furnace, and asking what the special is about. They immediately tell me that I do not qualify for the special because my furnace needs a repair.
They go on to tell me it cost $99 for a service call and it covers the first 15 minutes. I ask if it is the same guy who comes out and spends the same 15 minutes to do a repair inspection and estimate or a ""tune up inspection"" then the cost to the company is the same and why do they want to charge me $60 more. All the gal on the phone could say was that the person would be doing different things. I asked her several questions trying to understand and she transferred me to talk to the service manager, Chad or something like that. It was like he was reading the same script as the woman answering the phone.
So I said to him: If I have a garden company come out and mow my small front lawn taking 15 minutes one time, and another time the same guy comes out spending 15 minutes using a lawn blower than I would expect to pay close to the same amount since it is the same guy, the same truck, and the only difference is in what the person does and the tools he uses which are on the truck anyway. So yes, the lawn blower may cost the company $100 or so less than the commercial lawn blower they use but I assure you the company will charge me the same amount of money for either service and I just could not understand why then for the same 15 minutes his company will charge me $29 for one thing and $99 for another.
I did not have them come out and decided to call Puget Sound Energy to see if they might suggest someone else. Come to find out they do service work and will come out for free to take a look knowing they are selling no gas if they furnace is not working.

FOX did a professional job installing a water heater this past Fall. I added their service plan too.
Later in the past year, I called them to fix a leaking toilet. The leak resumed almost immediately. I called them again to refix the leak. FOX said that the floor was rotten so it couldn't be fixed. I had another plumber replace the seal with a heavier ring which took care of the problem.
FOX came to clean out a drain from the kitchen sink. They indicated that it might be a long run. I said ""NO,"" that it would only be 15 to 20 ' out , which it was. IT TOOK 15 MINUTES. FOX did not charge because of their prior issues.
FOX was called 2/20/2015 to clear a dishwasher drain. They arrived WITHOUT a prior call and FOX said that the problem might run $400 since it could go into concrete work when the tech DID call me. As it turned out my husband arrived to see that FOX cleared the drain from the diswasher to the sink drain. FOX charged $248! Time was not indicated. The $99 service was not credited. The statement showed $28 cleaner solution and $9.00 miscellaneous material in addition to the non specific time/labor.
I think I see that $100 has been added to the first hour's labor. FOX has NEVER TOLD ME OF THIS INCREASE.
FOX did good work installing my new water heater. BUT, IN SUBSEQUENT JOBS,
FOX HAS MADE DIRE EVALUATIONS PRIOR TO ACTUAL WORK AND THEY
SEEM TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR WORK THAT THEY HAVE PERFORMED. THEIR
CHARGES ARE UNFAIR AND NOT ACCORDING TO THEIR PROMISES.
FOX IS NOT FAIR.
