We got an appointment next day, James is on time.

Check out few things, nothing wrong and he refused to charge us! Most contractors will have minimum charge regardless.

He is on time, competent and direct. Hard to find such service professional anymore in the bay area.

James Fox did a great job and clearly demonstrated that he knows his work and cares about doing a good job! Two other companies had come out and said it would be necessary to cut the pipes to move our pedestal sink in order to get at a clog in our very old pipes, which would then have to be replaced; neither even suggested that there might be another solution. James wanted to avoid cutting the pipe, and suggested that he could snake out the drain through the roof vent. His solution worked great, and saved us hundreds of dollars and a lot of mess. We really appreciated his thoughtful approach. He will be our go-to plumber for any future work.

On the day of the installation, he met me at Home Depot and took the toilets to my place. James came on time and warned me not know how long a storm drain may take to unclog and hence exact estimate but told me how the fee was structured and was able to unclog fast. He even helped me find a way so not clog often. I would use his services again without a doubt.

We used him again for our water heater which started to leak. It was an urgent request but he came out in 3 hours and fixed everything and got brand new water hater placed on the same day. Two toilets in our condo simultaneously choked, implying a clogged sewer line. One plumber lacked the required equipment, the other was too busy and referred us to Fox Plumbing, a very competent one-man operation. James appeared, promptly diagnosed the problem, and knew exactly what to do. His motorized ""snake"" extracted fragments of a rag that absent-minded or brain-dead workmen in the condo above us had flushed down the toilet. His clean-up was so good that he could easily make a living as a house-cleaner, and his charge was reasonable. I recommend him highly; an advantage of a one-man shop is that the A-team rather than the B-team does the work.
