Extremely disappointed with Fourth Generation Mechanical - Michael Hughes. We would NOT recommend his services to anyone. When he estimated our job to replace our shower due to a crack in the floor, he suggested a quick fix that he would be able to make it look like it belonged all along. He told us he would put up plastic sheeting to contain construction dust and debris to a minimum. He also told us that he would bring back samples of tile to install where he would have to cut out part of the existing shower wall. Instead, NO sheeting hung and as a result we needed to have a professional cleaning company come to clean our entire first floor of construction dust. He also decided to just install a one-piece tile, that he chose, to put between the existing shower wall and new shower floor. This tile does not even fit flush to the wall so he filled it with plumbing calk. We have damage to our sink cabinet (glue inside that does not come off and a piece splintered off door) that he had to move out temporarily while installing the shower floor. We also have damage to our woodwork, linoleum floor and the NEW shower floor that he installed. This was covered up by a gooping of plumbers caulk. The sink was leaking and we had to call him back twice. Both my husband and I ended up yelling at him on the phone because he told us on Saturday evening he would come Monday to fix the leak. Today I spent time trying to get the caulking out of the shower drain cover. We told him we wanted it fixed ASAP. He said he would send his son on Sunday. No son arrived and no phone call. Therefore we were a little irate when he finally came on Monday. He also spilled plaster on our concrete pool deck which is not coming off as well as breaking a bag of plaster on the sidewalk and he just left it there for us to clean up. PLEASE, do not even think about hiring this very sloppy, poor work ethic contractor. If you want a professional job done look elsewhere.

Can't vouch for services but if he drives like he works he's more interested in his phone and can't follow directions. Left Home Depot in the wrong direction, on the wrong side of the road with his cell phone in front of his face, swerved out of the lane once he realized he was on the wrong the of the lane leaving the store.

Buyer beware! Michael is a thief takes ur money & does not only do the job incorrectly his not licensed & I spent over $20,000 for 2 incomplete boilers- which I found out from other plumber s my 2 boilers r 7 yrs old USED in which he stated all brand new equipment-which he installed wrong pipe size is & Incorrect plumbing the rust on some pipes and I got three major leaks going on and he was paid to take out the oil tank which is still in my basement & incorrect everything he touched that other plumbers stated I'd have to take out his mess & start all over again
most of all no permits why -cuz he s not licensed
i d like to shut done this-fraud- no licensewokers -one guy working with him told me he's real job is a window installer
i Probably would've done better if I went down to Home Depot and hided the crew that stand s around in the parking lot looking for work
boycott this company-I believe the owner must be comatose because he still keeps him on the payroll and knowing all this disaster so-called work that he does/doesn't do

Mike Hughes needs to keep changing his business name because he has the worst reputation as a contractor in the entire state. He completely screwed up a boiler job in my house and I needed 2 more plumbers just to fix his work. He even stole some of my expensive power tools. He has no license for anything and is just a professional bull crap artist. His mouth says something completely different than his work.

Mike the owner came to My house to change our oil Tank first off I had to be there to help him with the Job so I lost a days Pay and busted my butt working for him then he tells me he's coming back on Saturday to get the old Tank out of my Yard and move the fill pipe in a foot and it's going on Three weeks and still no show All I want is to have the job finished.
All I get are excuses and promises. Please just be where not good at all

STAY AWAY! Total scammer. Overcharged us for a simple project and failed to even complete it. He spent most of the day away ""getting supplies"" and charged us $1000 for a grand total of 2 hours and quickly left right after without any notice. We then pointed out the job was unfinished and he said he would return to complete it but obviously never did. We asked another plumber we know and said he overcharged us by at least 300%.
