We have used Fountain Valley mechanical for 30 years. They replaced a furnace during a major a however for the last several years even during the pandemic their rates have increased dramatically. The average HVAC hourly wage nationally and in Colorado is $29 per hour . They recently charged us $300 to flip a switch after hours, which was I believe 4:30 for them. Make sure you get a quote befor they come out. They're not the only game in town. We're not sure if we'll use them anymore if so we're going to make sure that they're not charging a thousand percent higher than the national average.

Excellent service and repair. I work in the plumbing industry myself. Would not use anyone else. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely horrible experience. They came out the first time had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Completely reworked my 2 year old furnace. 3 hours and 45 minutes later had reworked my furnace. Told we needed a communicating thermostat that they would order one show up with it told us the thermostat alone was 854.00 we told him we had seen them for less the 400.00, the tech said that's the price. We agreed to that he put something on my AC unit , messed with the wires on my furnace, completely disconnected our humidifier there wires just hanging and he damaged some sheet rock, at this point it was more than 4 hours we were told we weren't being charged for that visit. Needless to say he had to put back our old thermostat and the system hasn't worked right since. Showed up today told me a flat rate price of 1800.00 to install a thermostat and the price of the thermostat, I said I'd rather just pay hourly the tech got mad and said nope we will just call it a day and walked off. Said his boss said it's either the 1700 or we won't finish the job. Now I'm having to get someone else out here. This company is a joke, they only know how how to service the systems they sell yet I was told they knew Amana. If you want the job done right at a fair price call someone else.

My water heater went to appliance heaven and I was at my wits end. One call to the folks at Fountain Valley Mechanical made all my worries disappear. From the superior customer service to the speedy and professional install, all of my water heater worries were gone! I'll keep these guys on speed dial for sure!!

If you ever had your AC break down during a heatwave, you know how we felt ! After a call to FVM we unfortunatly had to wait 5 days for someone to come out. I spend most of these 5 days in a cool shower...never felt cleaner, ha!
Then came the big day : new unit outside, new furnace and I slept like a baby in a cool house once more.
Then the AC quit!!!
Brandnew and 1 day old...................within 30 minutes ( this was 8 PM ) the owner rang the doorbell to check what had happened. He found a faulty circuitboard in the brandnew unit outside and promised to have it fixed the next morning, which he did.
Today we had a visit from the City Inspector and he could not paise their work enough!
Thank you Fountain Valley this has been your second visit with us and it won't be your last..............just not any time soon, I hope.

Edit: had another tech come out to evaluate. This new technician told me that the system was not even closed up properly when they left. Things were hand tightened. Looks like they weren't happy when I told them to stop all work. He also confirmed all my fears that I was being taken for a ride by fountain valley. Watch yourself with fountain valley, or at least educate yourself very well on HVAC, and stand by to monitor the work if you are going to hire them. It honestly seems like these guys were trying milk us for whatever they could.

Had these guys out to repair a condenser drain pipe leak, before the repair the ac was cooling the house just fine, and the condenser drain was having to be caught by a bucket. After the drain repair, the ac stopped working and was freezing over. They came back out after the system thawed and said that it was freezing over because it was low on refrigerant. I authorized the service to fill the refrigerant, and two hours later they call to say that that wasn't the problem, and that they'd have to take the system apart to find the issue, and that would take 5-6 billable hours x2 technicians, I felt like I was being unsold and taken for a ride considering the fact that apart from a little condenser frail leak, the system was running fine before the tech started working on it. I called them off and told them not to do anything else. Luckily the owner, after hearing my concerns agreed to not charge me for the last visit. Won't use fountain valley mechanical again, just don't feel like it was on the up and up.

Came to do a routine service on my furnace and turned into a fiasco. Instead of problem solving with me and my family they said they would not work on my furnace and left me and my young children without heat. They were more worried about me taking a legal course of action against them then working with me. Very disappointed.

Fountain Valley Mechanical is hands down the most trustworthy, affordable and all-around best HVAC business in town. Every time I have any issues with my furnace or air conditioner, they are the only people I call. The office staff is courteous and wonderful, the service technicians are great, and my entire family has been using them for as long as I can remember. Their pricing is fair and actually way cheaper than what other places will quote you, and after enjoying their excellent customer service for years my employer has started using Fountain Valley Mechanical at our office and loves them just as much as I do. I highly recommend them!

I purchased a hot water heater from Fountain Valley Mechanical (w/ 6 yr warranty), little after one-year time-frame it leaked and it needed to be replaced. The water heater was replaced by two technicians to which a technician mentioned would be $89 per hour for two hours to repair which I was fine with. Later I would pay over the phone with cc with their office personnel once repair was done (I was not onsite during repair but other family members were).

The shocker...I call the office to pay the bill and it appeared to be higher than expected. I verify with the person each line item cost associated with the repair service and it appears to have this 2nd extra-person charge just to have a second technician there with the first technician. This was never mentioned or brought to my attention and thought this was some sort of hidden technique they try to slide by their customers. I was not at all happy about it, at this point the gal on the phone put a gentlemen on the phone who was unprofessional but did remove this extra-person charge.

I am hesitant to recommend anyone to this company for service, as the cost for the service-repair mentioned onsite by the technician did not match what was mentioned by the gal back at their office. This is not good way to conduct business, whether it be residential or corporation.

They do have a website but do not entail much information on the ""Plumbing Service"" section when it comes to the following (for other services check other section of the website for potential helpful information shown below):

Folks do your home-work/research before getting yourself into any un-certanties with these folks.

Not an enjoyable experience at all. Stay away from these guys. They came recommended to me and I have no idea why.

On initial install, they were extremely unfriendly, wouldn't look me in the eyes. They complained about the space my heater was in to me even though I had nothing to do with the build.

I ordered a Honeywell Lyric thermostat. When they went To install it, they complained about having to install a smart thermostat.

They also didn't install it right. They had an extra wire to attach as a common wire but they didn't connect it so after they left, I had to connect the extra wire to the thermostat and to our furnace before it would start working. They also didn't setup the thermostat properly so when they left our thermostat wouldn't control the heat at all. Since I was not at home when they did it, my house was freezing by the time I got it working.

Finally, they had to remove the molding around the furnace space to install the new furnace. They didn't put it back, they just stood it up against the wall. This was the final detail in a very poor experience. If you need a furnace installed, look elsewhere.
