I would not recommend this outfit to anyone. They came fixed an initial leek then I wanted to have one other section done. But they quoted
unbeknownst to me an entire replacement of all the crawl space lines called trunk lines. I don't know what trunk lines are so I okayed it, fine.
They did the work and forgot one important thing and that was to crimp the hose to my outside hose pipe line. So I'm outside watering new seed
on our recently installed septic system and inside underneath is flowing water into our crawl space because of this missed pipeline that Fosters forgot to crimp. So I send them an email after they came out and secured the leaking line asking for an apology and perhaps a credit. Well they said sometimes these things happen and went on to say that I was , and get this ""Ludicrous "" for stating my opinion of their work and if we give you a credit then we could never do work for you again. I'd never hire them again anyway. So beware people of Fosters plumbing, Brian the owner and his 1
employee.

So initially I was very pleased being they were so reasonable and came out quickly. They stayed all day to get my new unit running during a heat wave. However , they put tape on our hardwood floors to protect them but when they tore it up it ruined my hardwood floors. Took the finish off and looks terrible. I tried contacting the owner Brian but he has been unresponsive. Also could not set up the digital controls. And the workers left black handprints on my bathroom walls. Guess you get what you pay for.

I called these folks after finding good reviews for them. I wanted to know how much to come out and look at some issues. I was told $59 flat fee, which I've heard before from other plumbers. I agreed. The day of, they call an hour into the scheduled window and drop that it's another $100 suddenly out of no where? Why? How? Either they forgot to say so up front, at which point their mistake so they should waive it, or they were padding things last minute hoping I'd just swallow it. Either way, it's a sure fire way to turn great reviews online into significant suspicion and a cancellation.

Update: Pleased with the response by Brian below. Responsible and respectful. I'd give them a second chance in the future just for that. Adding a star to review for such. Thanks Brian.

Brian Foster has handled all my plumbing, heating and cooling needs for the past 10+ years. In every case, Brian is responsive, reliable, knowledgeable and fair. He's fixed my boiler, my central air, my sump pump, and water heater. In every case he's able to determine the cause and make improvements to limit issues in the future. One time he even saved me from having to install an expensive french drain in my basement by recommending we just drill holes in the sides of my sump pump well to let the water accumulating under my concrete basement floor empty into the well so it can be pumped out. Since we did that, no more basement water!!! It's always a pleasure to deal with Brian, even though it's usually under bad circumstances (no heat, basement flooding, etc.). But, in the end I'm very glad I called him.
