Ft hunt plumbing has been extremely great. They are reliable, reasonably priced, and overall every employee has been fantastic. They've done a few projects for me and my whole family and I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a plumber.

Fort Hunt Plumbing is under new management. You will be pleased with their work and the way they take care of your property. I have no complaints about their pricing and elderly customers will be comfortable with the way they are treated.

We hired Fort Hunt Plumbing to work on an apartment complex project. Ricky was nice and the price was good. However he never showed up. He said one of his men had a heart attack and he was short of people. However we never received calls that he wasn't going to show on several occasions. Crews had to rescheduled several times. We called several times when he didn't show. Never got s return call on many. The last day he was supposed to be there, I spoke with the City of Alexandria code enforcement to learn he never pulled a plumbing permit. We terminated him.

I've stupidly used Fort Hunt numerous times because a neighbor uses them. The owner is knowledgeable, tho not very nice. The one guy he always sends is not so knowledgeable. Complained about my shower faucets. He fixed the leak but reinstalled them backwards, so temperature setting is opposite. I told him while he was there, but he said too difficult to get back on again. Said he couldn't fix a leak in my laundry room. ""We don't do that."" My painter fixed it two weeks later for the cost of a $5 part. He has ""fixed"" the toilets by using a putty type material that just dries out and falls off within a couple months, so the same problem reoccurs. He made a stupid decision re my kitchen faucet, that I won't bother explaining. I'm done. I'm trying someone new. Too bad. I try to be loyal. Their prices are not cheap, so I expect better work and better attitude.

Rick helped us get our water heater fixed when it went out during the 2016 blizzard! Very professional and knowledgable. We've used Ft Hunt before and will do so again.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Ricky and his team. From replacement of my sump pump (with a Zoeller, arguably the best made) to replacement of a water pressure/release valve, everything has met my expectations. They were very clear on upfront costs. Detailed receipts were provided. No attempts were made to upsell me or perform work outside what was requested.

If you want a great plumber this is the company to go with. I'm a local girl, and I've been dealing with Fort Hunt Plumbing for 11 years. I've been through leaks, hot water heaters, drain snaking, and a complete renovation of my master bath room with them. They have nevered raised their prices, work has always been excellent (love my new body sprays in my shower), and the people you deal with are always honest and professional. The owner does not charge for consults, and will tell you exactly what you are dealing with project or money wise. I don't know about you, but I like honesty, and they certainly do not take advantage of you!! How could they be in business for as long as they have been if they did?!?!!

I did use another plumber on one occasion which was a weekend. FHP does not work weekends due to being family oriented themselves, and hey I can understand having a day off. Most of us have our weekends off. This other company came out and snaked my kitchen sink and charged me triple the $$$ FHP would have charged. Never again will I go to another plumber!

So, if you are new to the area, or just looking to change your plumber call Fort Hunt Plumbing, Inc. And remember, in my mind, a royal flush is better than a full house!

My elderly mother called Ft. Hunt Plumbing to fix a clogged toilet. The plumber snaked her toilet through the toilet without removing the toilet. The clog was not fixed. The plumber told my mother she had a cheap toilet and it had scale buildup which was clogging the toilet so she would need a new one at a cost of about $400. There are three other of the exact make and age toilet in the house with no problems.

This sounded odd to me to I called Ft. Hunt Plumbing. I asked the owner why his plumber didn't remove the toilet to look for a clog or snake the drain. He backed his plumber telling me same about an old toilet with buildup that was clogging it and that he didn't need to remove the toilet to know this. I told him there is no visible scale or other buildup. The owner said that his plumber could just tell. Again, this sounded ridiculous.

So, I went to my mother's and removed the toilet. Sure enough, a pair of eyeglasses were stuck in the toilet causing the clog. There was no scale or any other buildup. I replaced the toilet and it works fine. I called Ft. Hunt Plumbing several times over a couple months. Each time I left messages with the owner asking him to call me to discuss and that my mother deserved a refund or credit because his plumber failed to do what he should have, which is remove the toilet, and instead told my mother she needed a new toilet. My messages have gone unreturned. Three months have now passed and I've given Ft. Hunt the opportunity to call me back and they haven't.
