On 9-5-19, I spoke with Mike who set me up with an appointment for an estimate the next day, Friday, between 2 and 4 with Kevin, for a new kitchen sink and disposal. On Friday I was home waiting, and Kevin did not show, and at 4:26 I called and left a voice mail with Mike. Two weeks have passed and I did not receive a call back even. I had another plumber come out and do the work for me.

Had a broken toilet in 3 year old home. Called for plumber, he was knowlegable and did good work. But my God $880. for a new toilet. Could have got Home Depot top of the line toilet and installed for under $400. Neighbors warned me, didn't listen. Won't happen again.

When first dealing with owner Kevin Jolley, he quoted me a scope of sewer pipe and cleanout for $300. I paid Kevin $240 cash and $60 dollars in check. He forgot his receipt book, so I did not get a receipt at that time. After visit he said he needed to have his professional Joe come out to finish the job. Cost another 250 dollars when joe came out, he worked for about an hour and a half, then said his camera broke. He came out again a few days later, cost another $200 cash for him to work 2 more hours, he got 33 feet of the 36 feet needed, said it would cost more for him to work longer, then said we would get a link to our scope of the line from the company so we could view it. It is one month later, sewer line is backing up again, even with us dumping chemicals down three times to clean out tree roots in line. Called the company today, was handed off to Shannon who in turned had Joe call me back. Joe stated it would cost me an additional $30 for the link to the scope, and if I wanted him or someone from his company to come back out I would need to pay more monies. Long story short, at this time, I do not recommend this company.

Used them once before with no problems, but wow were we disappointed this last time. First there was a lot of confusion about when someone could come, help with a flooded basement. I would think this is an emergency, but we had to wait 2 days to get them to come out. So sorry we waited!!! Should have called someone else. Mike showed up late and was rude the moment he entered our building! All he could do was complain about all the work he had to do, as though he was doing us a favor by even showing up. He looked in the basement and was supposed to call me with his findings. He instead left the premises without seemingly doing any work, although he left us a bill for approximately $300. The next day he called and he continued to be condescending and treated us as if we couldn't possibly understand what he was explaining. When I called him out on his bad attitude he became furious and hung up on me. When I called to complain to the office, they seemed to excuse his ill-mannered behavior, saying he was an ""excellent plumber"" ! As if his horrible attitude was compensated by his skills! We waited to hear back and had previously scheduled another job at one of our other businesses. We were waiting for someone to arrive, when we called to inquire about the basement job, we were told that they would not do any more work until we paid the $300! We were shocked and told them to expletive themselves! Not only did they waste our time earlier in the week but now we had cleared our schedule for other work that would not be taking place! We will call someone else that understands customer service. Their loss, we have lots of business that will be going to the competition from now on!

Where to begin with how much I loved working with these people?

The septic system in my house backed up in to my bedroom producing the worst imaginable situation for my family. Forbes came out within hours of me calling them and from the beginning was unbelievably sympathetic and compassionate to my circumstance. They quickly identified that the line from my house to my septic had completely sank and needed to be dug up and replaced and laid out a plan to have everything dug up, replaced, and the hole filled back in with the necessary rock to ensure this never happens again. Every step of the process was clearly communicated, no work was done until pricing was agreed upon, and the quality of the finished product was second to none!

Without question I would call Forbes Plumbing before any other plumbing company. They truly helped my family and I through a bad situation.

I called Forbes a few years ago and decided that would be the last time. My shower had a bad leak. When the guy said he was done I checked it out and it leaked even worse. Had water shooting up at the ceiling. Can't believe he wanted me to pay for it. JH. Monmouth

Mike came out and checked everthing under the sink first.
He then fixed the leak by adding new nuts to the drain.
He did a great job and I would highly recommend them
for any type of plumbing needs!

Forbes has always been our go to for anything plumbing. Mike does an exceptional job. However, yesterday we had a water emergency and I called. The man that answered the phone said they couldn't get to us for a week. When I told him it was an emergency, he still said it would be ""next Tuesday"". We're done with them.

We needed a new toilet installed and were told they would be there at 8a. They called at 8:15 to say they were leaving and arrived at almost 8:30. They were done by 9:20 and charged us for an hour and a half even though they were there less than an hour. Called back and was told that it includes drive time....which is 1.4 miles from their shop to our front door.
Also, when my wife and I went to look at the work that they had done, we noticed a big mess where he had removed the old toilet and set it. The area was soaked and old pee water was left in a pan sitting on the floor.
Called to talk with them and was told that there is nothing they can do. They just go by the time that the plumber checks in and out on their phone. Makes me wonder how many of their other customers were overcharged for time. Luckily, we had time stamps where the plumber had called to say he was leaving and my wife texted me right when he pulled up. If we hadn't had those time stamps, they would have stood behind their guy.
Very dissapointed as when I called them, they wanted to argue and try to use the drive time excuse. I had heard nothing but good...I guess I was the 'lucky' one.

This company checks all the boxes - they have humans answer their phone, they give a 2-hour window for the service call, they call if there's a cancellation and they can arrive sooner than expected. And when they arrive, they get right down to business, do the work well and don't try to sell you something you don't need. I've used Forbes Plumbing twice in the past year and a half, and they are really superior to plumbers I've used in other areas. I wouldn't contact anyone else - they are the best!
