Sarah H.Terrible experience. I can't rate them on their work, as they never showed up. My warranty company assigned Flowright to me and told me they would stop by sometime between 2PM-10PM. I called around 8PM and left a VM, but they never showed up or returned my call. Called several times the next day for an explanation and to reschedule but of course they did not answer. I took off work to get my garbage disposal fixed, but they have no regard for others.
Worst experience, do not recommend for anyone. Very unprofessional, took 10-15 days to fix a a small issue, then did not come on scheduled time, left job incomplete and never called back. They came at 9 pm at night, walked to upstairs bathroom with out asking permission and then left without telling that they had completed job or not. I believed they went outside to get a part from their van to fix our shower, but found they already left. Wish I can give them below zer star.
Danny C.Flowright came out today to fix our plumbing. The two gentlemen were fast, efficient and helped process my claim with our Sears Home Warranty. They were in and out in quickly and fixed the problem quickly. They also gave advice on what to do when winter starts.
Allie G.Wow, one word: beware. My water heater broke, but it was still covered under warranty both thru the manufacturer and thru my home warranty. They charged me over $500 in ""mandatory upgrades."" This seemed odd to me, so I called around to other plumbers and they confirmed this was a rip off, but I was in a bind and I needed the work done. So, then I asked for an itemized list. The admin assistant clearly knew I was onto their game because she played around, rushed me off the phone and after everything was said and done, I had to request this 3 times before they provided it to me. To add further insult to injury, they left my floor a muddy mess. RIDICULOUS. I would HIGHLY recommend just about any other company.
Matt G.As with another reviewer, I had very bad experience with this company. HMS warranty set up the referral and I set the appointment with FlowRight on Friday 4/29 . The plumber, Bruce, came out to work (on Monday 5/6) on a sump pump that had stopped functioning. The plumber decided that it was an electrical issue and that the claim needed to be transferred to an electrician. He collected the deductible payment and left.
The electrician came (on Friday 5/9) and determined there to be no issue with the electrical components and that the plumber needed to return to replace the pump.
The warranty folks transferred the claim back to FlowRight and we set an appointment for Saturday 5/10. We are now a week into processing on this claim, nothing has been fixed, and I have taken off work two afternoons to meet service technicians.
As I was waiting for the plumber, I received a call from HMS Warranty in which they stated that they could not cover the work, as the plumber had contacted them to indicate that the pump was improperly installed and located in a location that was not covered by contract.
FlowRight Plumbing worked the system to receive payment for a home service call and did not have to perform any work by fraudulently claiming an electrical issue, then upon referral back they got out of having to fix the issues.
I am still working to resolution with the Warranty folks, however all should beware of this company. They are not Better Business Bureau certified, and will attempt, as other reviewers have indicated, to maximize their profit while minimizing the actual work performed. REFUSE them if you are referred to this business.
Winnie L.Was referred to them by our HMS Home Warranty. Called them on a Sat morning, they told me they'd call me back in the afternoon to give me a time their workers would come on Sunday. I ended up calling back. 9am-12pm Sunday. They showed up at 12:05pm. No biggie. He looked at water heater, got info and told me I needed a replacement and once HMS approves it they'll call back to schedule it. They called us back before HMS even did. Told us upfront that there were a few things HMS didn't cover, some optional and some required. Scheduled for 9am-12pm the following Tues. We told them that the work had to be done by 1pm because we were leaving town. They showed up at around 10ish removed and re-installed a new water heater by 11ish. Guys were quick and knew what they were doing. No fuss. Had to touch up vacuum after they left but very minimal.
I'm not sure why they got such bad reviews, but I'd use them again.
Won't happen again. Used my HMS Warranty to get a plumber to fix what I thought was a broken garbage disposal. However, it ended up being a clogged pipe. But the snake they brought wasn't long enough to reach it. So they said they would come back Thursday or worse case scenario, Saturday. I said it can't be Saturday because I have a housewarming party this weekend so I really needed it to be on Thursday (since the clog started Sunday night and they were there to fix it on Tuesday). So didn't hear back on Tuesday to see what date I had been rescheduled to. Called Wednesday to find out timeline. They didn't know. Heard that it could be Thursday or Saturday. So I gave them my cell to call during the day if they could come on Thursday but didn't hear anything.
Call HMS to assign another plumber because I can't wait for a maybe or after all these reviews, a no-show. So if I have another plumbing issue, I will be sure it won't be with them. They have no follow-through. Even though the tech was a nice guy, the problem isn't fixed 4 days later.
My home warranty service provided me with the contact to Flow Right Plumbing. When I called the office the morning of the appointment, I asked to be called 20 minutes before arrival as I worked 5 minutes away. The response was ""no problem. They can do that."" I cancelled meetings at work and waited by my phone during the service window. I took the afternoon off to go home when I figured they were running late (never called) to find a note saying they had been there at 11am and I wasn't. They never called. I called them to reschedule and was told they would get me in Sat morning. I called sat morning and was told the window was 10-2pm. I waited until 2:15pm - never called or showed up. I can't speak to the quality of the service or the prices therefore if you work from home or don't work at all this company may be for you. But for people who work or have busy lives on the weekend, this company is not for you ,as their communication is poor
Mc L.As with another reviewer, I had very bad experience with this company. HMS warranty company referred this. Voicemail messages left with company were not returned. Once I was able to schedule the call, the technician Rob never showed in the 8 to 12 window. I tried reaching the company but again no answer and voicemails not returned. Finally I called HMS and the got hold of the dispatcher. Two technicians came out to evaluate the issue with water heater. Even though the water heater and expansion tank was covered by HMS, they added things to the quote as required code upgrades.
Gas flex which is available for about $15, they were charging $75 for the same. Drip pan is available in the market (both at Home Depot or Lowes) for about $10, they were charging $75 for that as well. Stand which I was not is not a code upgrade was included at $225 which is available at about $50 bucks. Disposal of the old water heater was extra charge at $100. The quote was included expansion tank even though it was covered by HMS. When I reached out to HMS, they took it out.
All of things quoted were being charged at 5 to 7 times the cost at local stores. Called HMS and made a official complaint of the dishonest, unreasonable and unfair practices of this company. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
We have had Flowright Plumbing & Heating, Inc., rescue us on two occasions recently; the first time on a WEEKEND! Both times the techs were friendly, professional, extremely FAST in identifying and repairing the issue -- a stove gas leak, and then later, reaming out clogged pipes and installing a replacement toilet. This company makes me smile. Highly recommend! deb & rob
