Had a split water supply line from wall to toilet tank after replacing the toilet float valve...something I am competent to do. Shut off the wall valve, saw right away that it was one of those old ones (1981) that required shutting off the water to the house to change out the supply line. Nothing I would ever put a wrench to myself. So, I turned off the supply valve, no leak, and called around, maybe to six plumbers. One well-known Anchorage plumbing service, whom I've used over many decades, when I called, told me their earliest appointment was October 31st, and today is September 6th! So,started looking on the Internet. The only one that called back within six hours was Flow Star Plumbing and Heating. That was at 3PM on a Friday. They dispatched a technician -- Steve Hill -- who arrived at 4PM. Technician Steve Hill was friendly, informative, totally competent...explained everything so I could understand it, was done within the one hour minium labor charge. And he provided a Veterans' discount, as well. This was an exceptionally prompt, smooth and uneventful service call. So, if you are in need of plumbing services, you will not be disappointed with Flow Star Plumbing and Heating. I'd give them more stars if Yelp allowed it. Ask for Steve Hill. Oliver

Shows up when they say they will. Gives a free estimate for replacement of a water heater. I gave them the go ahead, and we made an appointment for the work. Fast service. Nice work. No fooling about. They brought every thing they needed. Work passed the Muni Plumbing Inspection on the 1st try. DONE!! I like it.

We had no idea who to contact for a shower knob that was stuck, and made showering impossible in our master bathroom! I did a search and found Flow Star! A real live person with happy and cheerful voice answered the phone and directed me to a plumber who set up the appointment for the very next day, giving an approximate time to expect a on the way call! Oh and while I was on hold briefly, there was no crappy music to listen to. Lovely classical calming music was on. So today, everything fell into place exactly as promised! I don't know about you, but having strangers in our home is a bit unnerving! And how scary will the repairs be? To make a long story short....the plumber who came was very kind, professional, real and skilled. Very kind to our anxious dogs who still are trying to get used to seeing people in our home after two years of covid with no one coming! I give Flow Star a 100% in satisfaction and trust. We are very confident now that with anything needed in the future, they will be our choice for help! Thank you, Flow Star
