Critical issues: Professionalism & Value Kevin is extremely rude, unprofessional, and not upfront about costs. Charges outrageous prices for work that is not rendered. Lies about free estimates. Avoid at all costs. One of the worst plumbers in town.

Columbia friends if you need a gas plumber please steer clear of Flow Rite. After belittling and hanging up on me the owner Kevin felt the need to send this: It's kinda hard to make explanations that were made out of your presence. You definitely weren't overcharged but thanks anyway. Thanks kindly, maybe you should've chose the higher estimate. We now have to hire another company to fix the $1000 installation (because they will not be allowed in our home). This apparently is acceptable: I am sure that Kevin will call me a liar (because that is what he does so the third pic is our text conversation

Had to take out a restraining order after this delightful plumber showed up intoxicated and sent a series of threatening text messages to essentially """"watch my back."""" He accepted a job he wasn't qualified to do, and caused damage in the thousands of dollars. Would not recommend.

Homewner Beware! I hired Kevin Richardson to install a garbage disposer. He came out and ran around like his pants were on fire. He did fit the unit fairly well. But... in order to install it properly, the wires would need to be spliced I agreed to pay him $85 extra to hook up the electrical so the unit could operate...he installed a socket under the sink, which didn't work. And, he was in such a hurry to leave that he forgot to hook up the disposal to the dishwasher. Luckily I caught him before driving off. Still waiting on my $85. He has blocked my number. Hope Kevin enjoys small claims court!

The male I talked to in the phone to establish an appointment started out professional. Said he'd be here between 2pm&3pm. I called around 2:20 pm asking what time he'd get here specifically because I have another quoter coming as well. Instead of giving me a time he said, """"Well just let the other plumber deal with it ma'am!"""" He could have simply fixed the issues that he could fix and given me his quote on the larger job versus blowing. He did NOT handle talking to me in a professional manner and he messaged me complaining about the low review he received on Google. There's nothing wrong with getting more than one quote for a job and I was honest in disclosing that he wasn't the only one coming. He was very unprofessional to text me ranting over a legitimate review. CHILDISH even.

HOWEOWNERS BEWARE! FLOW-RITE PRICES DO NOT REFLECT STANDARD RESIDENTIAL WORK & CONSIDERATION FOR THE HARD-EARNED MONEY OF FAMILIES & HOMEOWNERS! My records indicate that Kevin Richardson was at our home from 10:50am to 11:10am (20 minutes). This time is not an estimate, but my outside cameras reflect the time he arrived and the time he left. Kevin planned on spending several hours at our home installing 1 main stop valve and 3 stop valves for our bathrooms. While assessing the property, he helped us determine that installing the stop valves was not necessary. As a professional and the subject-matter expert, we believed Kevin's statements to be true. Because of the time that he allocated toward our project, did not have an issue paying the $400 Cancellation Fee. However, we have an issue with the other charges. Flow-Rite charged us $98 for """"Estimates, measuring layout, and providing diagram for permit & project purposes."""" He also charged us $168 for """"Providing consultation per quote scope of work correction."""" Our home is 2000 sq ft and he only spent 20 mins at our home. A 20 minute visit and walking through our 2000 sq ft home does not warrant $267 worth of work, even if you did go back to your office and work up a new estimate. After their visit, Flow-Rite sent us an invoice for $667. In the end, we paid a total of $562 for the time that he lost. After asking questions and requesting follow-up details about our invoice, Flow-Rite cancelled the additional charges due of $105. I understand that Flow-Rite usually work with commercial properties, but you accepted our residential job! Only working with commercial properties in the future may be a good idea as you suggested in a previous reply. We should have remained with Meetze Plumbing, who did a great job before. Flow-Rite was cheaper, but we ended up paying $562 for ZERO WORK ON OUR HOME!
