Recommended Customer Reviews

See prior review. After a few contacts an several days, I did receive a 50% Refund,

I am giving this company one star, but that might be too high of an evaluation. While it is seldom that I ever write a """"bad review"""" for anyone, I feel that Florida Plumbing works """"earned"""" these comments for their rudeness, lack of professionalism and poor workmanship. The company was called to install a kitchen faucet and clear the hot and cold water valves in the shower. I called this company in particular because I was told that they had years of experience and would know exactly what to do. After 3 hours, much of it spent outside of the condo """"getting parts"""" little was accomplished and a puddle of water was left under the kitchen sink. Additionally, these """"expert"""" plumbers expected my husband and I put a hole behind the tiled faucets in the tub. Already $472 in and having to schedule another visit I contacted a trusted friend who expertly installed a new kitchen faucet and helped with the removal of tile. In the 11 days in-between visits, the office manager requested the code (keyless) , the meeting was abruptly rescheduled and I was contacted specifically to make sure that the plumber not have anyone around while he was doing the work. In all of my years I have never had the request of secrecy in doing a job. I suppose I should not have been surprised when knowing that I was close-by the plumber did not call prior to coming, arrived an hour prior to scheduled work, entered without notice that they were on site and left quickly before explaining anything. I am now left with having to contact ANOTHER plumber to complete unfinished work, fix a hole behind the faucets in the tub that I am not even sure was necessary and a bill for $522. If you are even considering this company, think twice.

These are the worst contractors we have ever dealt with. They performed sub standard work and cost way too much. Horrible service, horrible company, very rude and messy.

Called this company out to do 2 jobs at my house - one on my mom's side of the house and the other on my side. Was never told how the pricing would be until after I was given a bill. My mom had a minor problem on her toilet, which was fixed very quickly (but the toilet is running now) and she asked for a separate bill. I had a bigger problem but it was fixed. At the end of the job, I was handed two bills. As I took my mom's bill to her I looked and saw that she was charged for an hour's work of $100 even though the job was only 5-10 minutes. Came and looked at my bill and saw that I was charged $125 for another hour's work. I asked for one bill if that was going to be the case because I was told at that point that that was the price for any part of an hour and then more for the next additional hour or any part thereof. I was told a separate bill wouldn't make any difference in price. The job was only an hour in total or possibly 1 hour and 5 minutes. I made a big mistake signing off on the work before looking carefully at my bill because the first bill had a start time of 12 noon and finish time of 1 p.m. Then my bill had a start time of 1 p.m. and finish time of 2 p.m. Those times were not even close to accurate. I remember looking at my watch to see what time the plumber started working because he showed up early, and from when the guard called to when he was finally in my driveway was 10-15 minutes. Then he sat in his truck for about another 5 minutes. I should not have to pay for time when he was not actually in my house doing work. The start time on the first job was actually 12:50 p.m. and when he was filling out his paperwork it was 1:50 p.m., so that was exactly an hour. Even so, when I've had workers here for other types of jobs charging for an hourly rate, if they were only over by 5-10 minutes, it was always rounded to the nearest hour and charged accordingly. I told the plumber I was not happy with this because he would/could not do anything about this and that I would be calling the office. He said to go ahead and do that because the owner was very reasonable. When I called, I was told they could not do anything until they saw the invoice and would have to call me back. I explained everything and how it happened. I did not receive a call back. Called back the next day and spoke again to the office and was told they would have to look into it and call me back. Never received a call back, so called them again. Was again told would have to get back to me and at this point I have not heard back from them at all. I feel very strongly that I was taken advantage of and if they are doing that on every job they are making a fortune basically making double of what they should be and it's not right. I'm more than willing to pay my fair share, but have to report and complain when a company is taking advantage of it's customers!
