Flori Heating and Cooling was founded by Ralph Flori in 1965. Initially, Ralph operated it as a comprehensive appliance repair service. Eventually, the business shifted focus to HVAC services and installations.

The year 2004 marked Don Rice's purchase of Flori Heating and Cooling. Don, alongside his talented team, brings more than 50 years of combined expertise to the table.

Flori Heating & Air was initiated in 1962 by Ralph Flori. Don Rice became the owner-operator of Flori on December 14, 2004. Since that time, Flori has expanded significantly in both size and service offerings.

Flori is now among the top HVAC service providers in Cape Girardeau, MO.

With more than 35 years in the HVAC field, I have gained extensive experience. Starting as a helper in 1984, I advanced through the ranks. I have held positions as an installer, installation manager, service technician, and service manager. The next logical step for me was to become an owner.

They were working with my warranty company and came out to repair my AC. They tr old me it was the compressor and that replacing it would fix the issue. They replaced it and it still didn't work. They returned several days later and placed a filter. My air conditioner is still not working. That's $1900 later. Now they aren't talking about any solution to resolve the issue. Don't use them unless you want to waste your money and time.

NO STARS!!! They will lie about what's wrong to try and get you to pay MUCH MORE!!! They came and unclogged a drain. In doing so, they broke the pipe. About a week later a sewage smell came up into our living area.

I figured they had broke the pipe when they snaked the drain and that's why there was the sewage smell and asked them to come back out to do a follow up.

They came back and said there was nothing wrong but there were several pipes under the house that were about to break and I should take care of it ASAP.

I called another company. They came out and told me exactly what I thought. The drain pipe from the sink was separated from the drain that went out to the street and as a result, all the water from the kitchen sink drained into the ground under my house every time anyone did the dishes or ran the water.

He fixed the pipe and told me the smell would disappear soon enough as the ground dried up.

I asked him about the other pipes under the house and he said they were in great shape and no other work was needed.

NEVER call Flori Heating and Cooling, they'll snow you

Granted I know that no one really wants to work with Warranty Companies (which was why they were dispatched), BUT they strung me along for 6 days (plumbing issue preventing me from using my entire main bathroom) while the technician kept telling me it would be Saturday...then Monday...then he should hear something from the warranty people ""later today"". Of course no updates so I messaged and messaged (no response of course- only minimal responses to things like ""remember I cannot take off work Th and fri so it will have to be fixed by Wed and would get a response like ""ok"") and left a voice mail that I would call the warranty company to let them know this company obviously is too busy. Come to find out the technician NEVER CALLED with a diagnosis!! 6 days!! So I call the company this am and the secretary said she would have the Supervisor look into it and get back to me and that they would try to get someone out this afternoon to fix the problem. Called at 4 pm today because no one of course contacted me. A different lady answered and told me to call my warranty people because the technician talked to them and they are going to transfer to another company. Wouldn't elaborate at all. So called my warranty company and they have no idea what they are talking about because they have never been contacted by Fliori. WTH??? NEVER NEVER AGAIN. If you are too busy then LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW!!!

I called my home warranty company to fix my toilet so they sent flori. The guy should up and said that it needed a new wax ring. He said that I would have to pay an extra $80 for him to replace it and that I should find a friend to help and that I should ask for a refund from my home warranty then left. So I called the warranty company and they said that flori was already paid and shouldn't be asking me for more money.
He came back several hours later and fixed it but left water all over the floor. I will never use this company again.
