I needed a new earthquake valve installed into my gas line. The only problem was that the gas meter was located in a cramped spot and the line branched into two separate lines into the house (3/4"" and 1/2""), leaving no obvious location to place the valve.

A couple different plumbers came by and gave me both a) outlandish quotes and b) confusing explanations about the work involved. Carlos from Flintridge Rooter came by and gave me a clear explanation about how he was going to solve the problem and also explained how he bills for his time, resulting in a reasonable, affordable estimate.

Carlos performed the work quickly and the end result was a nicely organized line into my house, mediated by a brand new earthquake valve. He explained how everything worked and when he was done he even explained how maintenance of our tankless water heater worked. If you need plumbing help, Carlos is the best.

Just wanted to update my earlier review and say that we had hot water the following morning and the heater continues to work as it did before the heavy rains most likely disabled it as described by Carlos.

That was an unforeseen problem and with all plumbing systems and appliances this and other problems will happen. What also will happen is me calling Flintridge Rooter and Fine Plumbing for assistance with any plumbing problem.

Carlos is the best! He knows his stuff and does a great job. His prices are very reasonable. He has done great work for me, and I have referred him to my family and to a couple of friends in need of a good plumber. My mom had a plumbing issue in her kitchen which another plumber hadn't been able to resolve in four visits. Carlos fixed it the first time he was there. Give him a try! You won't be disappointed.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Thank you so much Carlos and Santiago for coming to my home to help me troubleshoot my wall hung toilet. The team was very professional and down to earth. The issue with my wall hung toilet was caused by another plumber who could not fix it. I appreciate how much effort they put towards fixing the issue when the situation was far from ideal. I contacted Carlos via Yelp regarding pricing for a pressure regulator replacement and he replied swiftly. He came out the same day to check out our piping to see what he would quote. He got back to me within an hour with a quote for his labor rate along with very transparent charges for the parts he would need to purchase.

He came over the next day and finished the job and checked out a couple other small issues we had that kept sprouting up due to the high water pressure.
