We bought an old farm house that had update cabinets in it. We reconfigured the kitchen and needed more cabinets. Ed with flicks came out and got all the information of the cabinets. He said he had a custom cabinet maker that would be able to duplicate what we had. They were expensive but we wanted everything to match. Cabinets came in and they didn't match. They are the same cabinets I could get from home depot or Lowes. I even sent him a picture showing that they don't match. He said cut the bottom of the cabinet off and the doors would line up. Then the drawers wouldn't line up. They are cheap in stock cabinets with warped doors and not even the same color. After sending him all of this, he said we never ordered custom cabinets. Well, we sure payed the price for custom cabinets.
Julie R.So far I am very upset. We have worked with Flicks in the past and loved our experience. As Clint V. stated, this is NOT the Flicks of old. We ordered a vanity, cabinet, and medicine cabinet as well as a vanity top. We were told it would take about three weeks. We received our vanity, cabinet, and medicine cabinet after five and a half weeks with the wrong knobs. We are still waiting on our vanity top (it will be seven weeks on Monday). Every time I call, I'm told it will be in next week. I'm on my third week of this. Today I said I wanted to cancel my order and was told that I can't. He was extremely nasty on the phone and not willing to do anything about it. My next step is the better business bureau.
Wayne W.Had Flicks remodel our kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Although it is a small company, they have access to a large and impressive product line. Ed worked extensively with us to minimise costs and provided valuable and useful advice, The installers, Chris and Tim, and the flooring, electrical, plumbing and masonry sub-contractors were all extremely polite, professional and efficient and cleaned the worksite at the end of each day. There were occasional glitches, the wrong item delivered, unexpected delays (as with all construction projects) but these were dealt with painlessly and weren't anything difficult to work around. In all, my experience with Flicks was very positive and I wouldn't hesitate to utilise their services again in the future
Clint V.This is NOT the Flicks of old. Ed has bought the name of a reputable contractor and is dragging it through the dirt. We ordered a bathroom job and were willing to pay more, expecting quality work done in a timely fashion. We received neither. The start of the job was delayed weeks. Once they did start, they didn't make it past phase one before they started telling us there would be huge additional costs. When we asked to get a second opinion, Mr. Drips the plumber (that's what he calls himself), got indignant and asked for $3000 paid up front. Suffice it to say that we cut our losses and broke ties with QC Bath (aka Flicks). Another plumber (Ewerts) finished the job for 1/3 of the cost.
Definitely do not recommend! Order placed for kitchen and bath remodel. Told they would order and start within 6 weeks - 8 weeks later found out the order had just been placed - they used our deposit to pay for someone elses order. Our remodel that was to take 2-3 weeks took almost 4 months once they finally started it. In one instance the wrong toilet seat was brought - told they would be back later that same day to install the correct seat - the next morning found the correct toilet seat leaning up against our door - we were home the entire time.
We had a very similar experience as the other review did. Ed would tell us they were on the truck, then when we would call to see when we could come and pick them up he would say well they haven't shipped yet, but would be at Flicks the following week. We dealt with this several times. Finally we ended up just calling the cabinet company ourselves and dealing with them. Turns out, they hadn't even shipped yet, they were still sitting on the cabinet companies loading dock! We finally got them, but it was quite the ordeal. I would never buy cabinets from this company, defiantly go elsewhere. Not once did we get an apology from Ed. He acted like it was no big deal that he kept lying to us and put us several weeks behind schedule. Extremely frustrating!
Had a horrible experience ordering a few cabinets from them. Every time I checked, I got a different story about where they were, sometimes was told they were on the truck, once that they weren't yet produced, once that they were produced but not ready to ship, etc., etc. Originally, we were told they would be ready in 6-8 weeks. After 11 weeks, we gave up and requested a cancellation and refund. That was the only smooth part of the process. We'll not do business with them again.
