We could not be more pleased by all those we dealt with from the office reception to the installers to the repairmen, even the owner - all have been great. We are relatively new to the area and are extremely happy we found Fletcher to handle all our plumbing, A/C and heating needs for our new house.
Needed a Moen cartridge replaced in the shower. Paul was fantastic. He took the time to show me how to replace myself if ever needed. Price was fair, service was great.

My heater gave up and needed replacement. I contacted the company to find out what needs to be done. They gave an honest assessment to get heat back up in my house. The techs explained everything they were going to do upon arrival and performed the replacement in a highly professional manner. The end result was exactly as the sales rep briefed I would receive. My neighbor across the street alerted me to a water main break in front of my house during the week of December 4th 2017. As a realtor and being quite savvy, she recommended Fletcher Plumbing and to speak to ""Dougie"". I contacted Dougie and he was the consummate professional. He indicated a time that he would be at my house and was there, as promised. Mind you, this job was done on December 8th, 2017, one of the coldest days of the year thus far. It was snowing and miserably cold weather outside but the crew soldiered on. They excavated, replaced/repaired and returned the soil. He even went above and beyond the call of duty of what was quoted. There are still generous, kind and selfless people out there and Dougie is one of them. Fletcher has a fine individual in their employment. Highly recommend.
Elise E.While I cannot comment on Fletcher's technical service, I will share my disgust regarding their customer service. The house we rent is managed/landlord by a real estate company; the owners and landlord agreed upon having maintenance performed on the house's HVAC system due to past, not current, problems with the A/C unit. The landlord contacted me and asked for me to contact Fletcher's to make the appointment. I called Fletcher's, made the appointment for the following Thursday 'between the hours of 12-2'. Around 2:30pm on Thursday afternoon, I called Fletcher's to ask why I hadn't heard from anyone and why the technician hadn't arrived; with no apology, the lady put me on hold for a few minutes, then gets back on the phone with me to tell me the technician is running behind. I explained to her that I wasn't going to be able to wait any longer and so we agreed on another appointment, for today 'between the hours of 2-4pm'. I offered that I understood if they were to arrive at 3:30 for instance, that, of course, they might not be finished by 4pm, but I informed her that I needed for the appointment to really BE between 2-4 on Monday. Rather than offering assurance or even understanding that my time was precious, she pushed back with the explanation that ""...the two hour window is for them (the technician, I guess) to call and let you know they're coming..."" and NOT a guarantee of them arriving in that two hour time period. I shrugged off the blatant attempt of ""putting me in my place"". And now it's Monday and here I sit waiting. At around 2:30, I get a call from my husband saying that Fletcher's had called HIM, he was in a meeting and could not answer his phone, and left a message saying that they were going on to another appointment. My husband called them back to ask why they hadn't called ME since I made it clear to Fletcher's when I spoke to them on Thursday (the date of the original appointment) that I would be the one waiting and that MY number was the one to call. At this time, we still don't even know how Fletcher's had my husband's number, but rather than offering any remorse or apology, Fletcher's just stated, ""you'll have to make another appointment."" In this day and age, especially for small businesses in the state of Delaware, reputation is everything and the only way to have a stellar reputation is via CUSTOMER SERVICE, which this company SEVERELY LACKS. Granted, it's not my money, but it's certainly been MY TIME WASTED and I am not at all a fan of how their business is conducted, especially since it was very clear to me that my time was NOT their concern. Not at all a reputable company.
Showed up when they said they would with toolbox in hand. Took care of the valve replacement that was needed in my shower. An hour later, the part was replaced and the price was very reasonable. Another company quoted me three times the amount to do the same fix! Will definitely use this company again to replace my water heater since two neighbors also used their services and were pleased with the jobs done. Nice to deal with a reliable, efficient, and professional company that takes pride in their work and prices their jobs fairly. They are now my go to company for all my plumbing needs.
These are guys are great. I've used the 4 times for 4 different reasons over the last couple of years: hot water heater, backed up sewer line, heater and just today for my A/C unit. All four interactions have been positive. They show up on time, giving a call before arrival. They quickly diagnose the issue and jump right into fixing it after discussing it with the homeowner. I always try to self diagnose the issue so that I'm educated and understand potential costs. They always come in with a price that is extremely fair.
Chad L.What a difference from other HVAC services I've used before! Luke was professional, courteous, and walked me through each step to troubleshoot my aging A/C system. He diagnosed low refrigerant and explained in detail how we can fill it, and then add a dye pack to monitor and check for the leak down the road. When other local services would just jump straight to a replacement of the whole system, Fletcher's cares about the customer and will take the common sense approach to help you out. It's wonderful to see a company that still cares about customer service today and that's why they will continue to see my business. When and if it comes time to make the large investment of replacement, you can bet I'll be calling them back. Well done.
The work they did was fine. The problem i had was being told they charge $100 an on the phone. They were at my house from 330 to 430 and charged me $225 for an hour and a half. When i called to ask what happened i was told it was because 2 workers came out to the home even though one did 95% of the work.
Susan M.It's so nice to have a reliable plumber/HVAC company close by! We've used Fletchers for a number of issues and installs over the last 10 years and all were a great experiences. When we finished our basement, Fletcher's came and hooked up our HVAC and helped with some of the new vents. They also helped us correct issues done by a different ""plumber,"" when we put in an additional bathroom. They promptly came and helped us with our AC when it broke on the hottest day of the summer (and thankfully fixed it without costing us a fortune or taking long at all). They've also installed a new garbage disposal, fixed a toilet, and an outside vent. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff too. Since my house seems to be falling apart, I'm glad I've got someone to call that I know will do the job right the first time when I need it! :)
