Fixer is a public benefit corporation and a certified B-Corp, founded by some of the same individuals behind GrubHub. We share your experiences as homeowners, DIYers, parents, and professionals.

Our team includes over 50 dedicated individuals, and we are expanding dedicated to simplifying the home repair and maintenance process, while providing genuine, sustainable job opportunities for individuals in our communities.

Since our founding in 2017 and our headquarters in Chicago, IL, Fixer has expanded to serve Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Seattle. Our growth is swift, and more cities are on the way!

Mike's journey into entrepreneurship began long before Fixer: after graduating from MIT with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, he co-founded GrubHub while seeking a way to order pizza online. During his time leading GrubHub from 2002 to 2014, he saw that gig jobs, even when taken full-time, often do not provide long-term career opportunities. The gig economy turned into a challenge for him, and Fixer is his response – a purposeful, W-2 employee, career-driven model. Mike chronicles his professional development in his memoir, Hangry, scheduled for publication in 2023.
