Had a pipe burst in my detached garage. Called several places and fix-a-leak was the first to respond. He could make it the next day. He was honest that he wasn't sure what time but would give me plenty of notice, which was true. They showed up and got it fixed within an hour. Thanks!!

Nope...

We live in a 150 yr old temperamental home that needs a water pressure pump to achieve more than a trickle in the shower. Our pump had gone out and after three days of calling plumbers I was finally called back by fix a leak. So for that.

The pump was replaced and worked for approximately two weeks, which for a cost of $1400 you would think it would have lasted longer, I tried for another week and a half to get in touch with them only to receive a "" voice mailbox full"" message or no answer at all.

We are finally able to get in contact with them and they come out to look at the pump. They claimed we must have had a power surge and the pump needed to be reset. So they reset, told us there wouldn't be a charge...this time, and went on their merry way. 10 minutes later, guess what? No water pressure. Was home the entire time so I knew there had been no power surge either. My husband called to tell them the unit was defective and we have not heard a thing from them.

We are going to use a company we know and trust to fix this situation. I won't be using fix a leak again and I can't say that I would recommend them to anyone.

These guys could not figure out how to get our water meter fully turned off at the road and wanted us to call the City Water Dept. out to replace the meter! My husband took our water key out and easily shut down 100% of water flow. Mitch also cut the pipe to the wrong water spikot. He did repair it but did not re-secure it to the brick on the outside of the house. It just moved around loosely when we turned it on/ off. My husband had to spend time/ materials to fix their mistake. They also put our crawl space door back on crooked.

Mitch talked me into replacing all components of my tub facet which was only leaking hot water at about 1-2 gallons per hour. It actually only needed to have the inside of the hot water side redone. When he was finished the three knobs did not match and after a week we heard a loud moan noise and now the shower has no pressure. Mitch said this is not his issue and he will not honor any warranty! the Kellows

I just had Mitch and Tina, the owners of Fix A Leak at our home today to take a look at some back-up and leak issues we had. While Mitch was working under and in the home, Tina was his partner at his side or on the other side of the home. They make quite the team and work really well together. We got honest work at a very fair price and will have them back shortly to do another job that we had already anticipated doing and were just waiting to find the right plumber. While Mitch and Tina came as our plumber, they left as our friends.

During our most recent freeze, I had a pipe burst in a ceiling over my master bathroom. I was referred to Mitch by a friend. I called and explained what happened and he was over within the hour. He was as delicate as could be expected with my ceiling, found the problem and fixed! As he was fixing the problem, his wife and partner Tina was cleaning up which was a blessing! They both did a wonderful job and prices were reasonable. It is so hard to find a quality contractor who knows their trade, honest, friendly and cleans up! I have definitely found that in Mitch and Tina!! I will definitely recommend and use them in the future!
