I was super impressed with this company. I contracted with them through Lowe's to replace a gas hot water heater and with only two days in advance notice, Justin from Five Star Plumbing contacted me the next day and was able to send a representative out the following day when we were available to be present. Austin was extremely courteous, customer-service oriented, knowledgeable, and got the job done perfectly same day. I would absolutely recommend and use them again!

Don't go with them! They quoted very high for two toilets. We agreed on taller toilets for my elderly wife but after the first was installed it was just a standard height. He was going to install the second one that was replacing one that was only a few years old with the same height. He said that he could install what I asked for but it would cost quite a bit more. I had to pay for the one that he installed but said I would find a way to get what I wanted through someone else!

We purchased an electric water heater from Lowes in Huber Heights and they contracted with Five Star Plumbing to install it. One person was sent to install it and remove our older water heater. I asked the installer about the overflow pan and he said he didn't replace ours because he didn't think it needed it, although it was showing signs of break-thru rust. I told him that Lowes told me that a pan was included with my purchase. Again, he said our old one was not in bad shape.

When I called Lowes they confirmed that Five Star Plumbing was responsible for replacing the old pan and that it was included in their installation charge. When I called Five Star Plumbing, the manager told me that the installer said I did not need one because it was not in bad shape. When I called Lowes installation department again they wrote a work order for the pan to be installed. I believe Five Star Plumbing was trying to pocket the cost of the pan. The old pan is at least 17 years old and there is no way that it would last through the warranty of my new water heater. We did receive a new overflow pan but it shouldn't be this hard to get what you pay for!

Purchased a Water Heater from Home Depot with installation. Paid for a two man crew. They called and said they didn't have a two man crew, and they would need to delay installation . Not what I paid for. Cancelled Job, due to same issue from before, posted on here. Promises made and Promises broken.

We had Lowe's send this company to install a new water heater today. I own many rental properties and this company has installed several from Lowes with no problem. After waiting for 3 days Lowes finally tells me that the original installer they gave this job to no longer installs water heaters! So then they called 5 Star....I was happy because I thought I would get the water heater installed finally...........he was nice to the renter and showed up on time...............then when removing old heater the vent flue broke from age....so it needed to be replaced....now this water heater is in a utility closet on outside of house in the driveway....very easy to access and the flue is 5 ft long..............he left and said to the renter that an HVAC guy needed to come put a flue vent on as he could not do that????? I still have never heard back from Lowes or 5 Star and I have sent numerous emails and was on hold 3 separate times...........I can not believe this is what is happening on a regular basis when you go to do any home repair but this has been an ongoing issue no matter what we are doing to repair a rental......I have called HVAC companies in the meantime just to get this done for the renter to have hot water and I will take it up with Lowes later.............each HVAC company asked the same thing..........why did the plumber not hook it up????

I am so disappointed.........I always had good service with 5 Star and as I said he was a very nice guy...........BUT the renters need hot water and I need the service I paid for 5 days ago!

Home Depot hired these people to install our new hot water heater, much to our chagrin and sorrow. They came when they said they would and all seemed to be going well. I heard a lot of banging in the basement when he was installing the appliance, but did not think much of it. Our house is 100 years old and although our old water tank was not nearly that old it had been down there for a while. So , he installs the new one and we begin to test the lines to see if everything is okay. The kitchen, check, the downstairs bathroom , check, the sink in the upstairs bathroom, check, the tub, only a trickle of water is coming out of the tub from the hot water faucet. The worker acted like it was a minor thing, saying because some of our pipes are still the galvanized type some rust probably flaked off the inside of one of them when he turned the water back on. And then he prepares to leave. I told him, "" I had hot water in the tub last night and I expect to have it tonight before you leave. Obviously you did something to make this happen as it was not a problem before and we have had the water on and off many times for plumbing jobs and no such thing has ever happened."" He then became flustered and said he would have to go get someone else to help him move the old tank out of the basement anyway and they would be back to fix it. He then told us his boss would be calling us about it. He did not come back, yesterday or today and his boss did not ever call. I sent the owner an email today, no response. The idea that there are separate pipes with hot water to the sink from the basement and the tub from the basement is facetious. They are a foot apart, obviously there is one main hot water line and the sink and tub are on lines running off of it. If the line was clogged by rust the sink would not have hot water either. I am an academic, not a plumber but I can figure that out. Fortunately, we refused to pay for it until they put us back where we were with full hot water in every faucet so they will no doubt be back. Unprofessional to the nth degree. Use them at your own risk.
