While the technician was very nice I think this company practices a very deceptive business process. It was $99 for the to just show up. Not fo anything just to show up. It was then an additional $389 to investigate the issue for an hour. If they can't figure it out in an hour I'm still expected to pay the $500 effectively for nothing. It is one thing for that practice but the language they use on the initial call is how it becomes deceptive and they purposely use that language which I was able to figure out by what the tech said. On the phone they said it's $99 to make a call but it may incur additional costs. They made no mention of the $389 even though that is a standard price to investigate as stated by the tech. How I was able to figure it out is the tech specifically said I don't know what ""language"" they used on the phone but this is the price to investigate. I said so I have to pay you 99 to show up and 389 to investigate the issue. He confirmed and then added that if he can't figure it out after an hour they want him to go another direction. I then asked so I could pay you 500 and still end up with nothing more than what I already know? To which he replied yes. This is a deceptive business practice. They know exactly what they're doing and that most people will find out the 389 investigation after the tech shows up and will turn them away but still pay the 99 without question bc that's the fee to show up.

The tech also had a sheet in his hand to sell you a monthly subscription for services. This place sounds more like one of those shady home warranty companies. Stay away!

Our basement flooded with 2 feet of water and took out our hot water heater, dehumidifier, and a motor in the furnace. They replaced all that and rerouted the new sump pump to the street after digging a deeper pit for it in the basement. All the work took 4 days. Each day I received an email or text notifying who was coming that day, a photo, and brief bio of each worker. Very professional!!!! Everyone was respectful and cordial. Classy outfit!

Almost forgot...one of the men went and got me a new humidifier and hooked it to drain into the sump pump.

Bought an entire home A\C system, in fact two, one for my upstairs and one for my downstairs to the tune of $20k. The purchase/install occurred in spring some time so not too hot nor too cold.

The entire install team seemed ok while the work was going on. There is a former Marine who is stellar, so this review does not apply to him. The install team wrapped up and ""tested"" everything said it was all ok.

Fast forward to fall and my thermostat went blank so I call them back for help. They send a guy out and his first move is to take a picture of my air filter, obvious attempt to void my warranty. Good thing I'm on top of it and it was just replaced. After hours of testing he found the issue with the thermostat and fixed that, but found that my downstairs unit NEVER WORKED. The wires to the house were broken causing the system to not have the correct wiring to work. Since the wires, that they broke because my previous unit worked, were from the house to their unit the warranty didn't cover it. The technician then tells me that he can install a Bluetooth unit for an additional $1500 and would do a temporary fix. Did not opt for that.

Net, this company isn't trustworthy as far as A/C units go. Look elsewhere.

If you're going to drive poorly and speed into traffic almost causing a wreck. I'd probably not do it in a company car.

Great upfront, lousy after. Sales and Install team were stellar. After the sale support and honoring follow-ups need to greatly improve if not too late already.

5-Star needs to watch their 6 as other companies are coming for whatever market share they have (Ace, CJS and Eco come to mind).

5-Star's support following Sales and Installation will cost them significantly, which is likely happening already (don't see many of their vehicles anymore).

Too bad they couldn't get their whole act together.
