These guys REALLY know what they're doing. After five jobs at our house ranging from the most trivial to fairly major replacements and mess cleanups, we trust them with anything. They are prompt, work fast, have taken the initiative to save us money whenever possible by doing whatever is simplest, and have also taken the initiative to save us major headaches by finding problems before they occur and are still easy to fix. It is odd that before finding FIto, good plumbers were the contractors we had the most difficulty finding, for many years. Wish we had found them sooner. They can do anything. Oh, also, they respond immediately and have always been able to arrive extremely promptly, saving us from having to live for days or hours with whatever the crisis was.
Kathy C.Lalo came out to help with my gas stove room heater. I wanted to be able to turn it off to save the large gas pilot light. But the clicker to restart it wasn't working. He found where that part had come unplugged and he fixed it so it is unlikely to become unplugged again.
No charge. I love these guys!!
Fast repair good price and nice person. Very professional. He answered my phone call very quickly. Come over to my house very fast in 10 minutes and repair very fast too
Cute P.to whom it may concern:
I contacted this company today Wednesday, July 13, this company operates under false and unethical questionable business practices because they want a commitment upon their investigation and provide you a report an estimate but they want a commitment that you will honor that estimate right on the spot, and you get anywhere from $1500-$2000 credit assuming this project is likely in the tens of thousands of dollars.
I don't know many companies that go out to the residence and provide an estimate to scope out the project and what it's involved, and then force you to sign the agreement right there and then for $1500-$2000, discount. I suggest staying away from this company as no professional that provides estimates for French draining or any type of plumbing forcing you pretty much to accept the terms of the estimate right there and then in order to get the discount or you will still pay for their time one way or another this is a threat and it's illegal to threaten someone with demanding payment for an estimate because they are simply losing time which is utterly ridiculous attorneys provide 30 minutes of their free time this guy is someone I would definitely suggest staying away and you to find yourself in small claims court or even the larger court to fight this contractor, it's also unclear if he is in fact a licensed professional plumber.
This company has terrible customer service. NEGATIVE 0
I would never recommend this company. The man came out to check the sewer line and never mentioned a $175 camera fee when their competitors do it for free! Had they mentioned that over the phone we would've never booked an appointment and wasted our time! When my mom explained to the man that she wasn't going to have that done since other companies do it for free that's when the man got nasty and said well go somewhere else and left my mom just standing there.
The representative of that company should be a little more understanding knowing that the customer is going to be spending a large amount of money to fix the problem. They should never take it personal and act unprofessional. When I called and complained to the so-called owner he was not understanding totally took his worker side. Based off of his reaction as a so-called owner I will never do business with them or recommend them to anyone.
They should take more pride in their customer service!
TL;DR Really good. I will ask them for next time as well.
I had brokage on kitchen drain. Actually I had tried to do unblock/unclog by myself --- but unfortunately my drain snake stucked and ripped off the line by mymistake.
I asked for help on their website at the weekend. Monday in the morning I received the response via email and scheduled my appointment at the same day quickely.
The staffs came at the time, got rid of my snakes and tried to clean it up. Actually it seems my drain pipe under the ground was broken by some roots, that was the reason why I got stuck my snake. They immediately suggested the alternative solution (connecting to the other live line, fortunately my house has) with really reasonable additional price.
Everything went smoothly, they were polite. The price is reasonable I suppose.
I will definitely ask them again when I would have plumbing problem next time.
Reliable, responsive, professional, courteous, fair, trustworthy! Can't say enough about this family business. Just a delight to work with and explained everything before proceeding. Fito ..kudos!
Ron L.Fito has great service, respond to our request very quick, the owner is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to; he provided quote with details, including a few pages & camera footages. Overall I do see their business integrity.
David S.This is going to be a two part review. This is my review after day 1. The reason it's a Day 1 review is because the original problem, the one we were desperate (read below) to fix, was solved. The additional comes tomorrow. I'm hoping, though I'm quite confident, that the end result after day 2 will be as excellent as the end of day 1.
The problem: Last week, our plumbing imploded. Or exploded. It did something. Nasty. The sink, the toilet, the shower, all backed up. It had done so before, so no problem, right? Just call the plumber that normally had serviced our wipe + excess toilet papered pipes, have them snake the clean outs, warn us not to do what they all know we do, and off they go for another 2 years of clogging activity. This is what our usual course of business had been. Until Thursday last week, one day before New Year's Eve. Far from me to destroy someone's business, but let's just say, the regular folks that have cleaned out our pipes 2-3x before, will never get our business again. And hopefully won't get your business. Why? Well, let's just say, as Fito told me when I told him they didn't have cameras, didn't have hydro jet, and couldn't solve my problem despite 5 hours of trying, ""they aren't a real plumbing business"". Taking that into consideration, I ate the $460 spent learning that the sub standard firm recommended I call someone that has better tools because their short snakes couldn't do the trick, and begged Fito for help. With 31 consecutive 5 star reviews, and about 40 more on Home Advisor, it seems that Fito Plumbers were too good to be true, but we were desperate, up to our ankles in sewer shit, as they say.
Today, I consider myself, to be one of the luckiest men on the face of the earth. OK, not Lou Gehrig, that was an overstatement. Just lucky. Fito's brother-in-law Lalo and his crew showed up this AM, a day early I might add. Starting this relationship off right, for sure they were! After about a half hour diagnosing things with ahem...a camera, they, too, found that this was a gnarly problem, that there were other likely gnarly problems (it's a 40's house), ones that would have to involve the extra long snakes, more camera work, the hydrojets, going into crawl spaces, cleaning out clean outs from roof, from both sides of the house, and digging to look at the fittings outside the house. So what happened on day 1? Fito Plumbers delivered big time. Soup-to-nuts to diagnose the fix the clogs cost me $850, which seemed more than reasonable given the #fail and attendant lack of tools for the job, and professionalism. But we went further based on their recommendations. The overarching problem, the reason we were susceptible to backups (beyond the obvious, we clog pipes with baby wipes and too much toilet paper) could be avoided by installing a new cleanout and changing the fitting to allow for better flow. (And installing one of those things that shoots warm water into your crevices, but that's for another publication.) The overarching problem solve would be much more expensive, and while we were at it, replacing the clay pipe that was getting mauled by ancient tree roots, might also be a good idea. That, they said, would cost another $2000ish. Still, seemed reasonable, especially after seeing the tree roots mangling the original clay pipes coming out of the wall. What made this a work of service provider art, though, was that at each step, Lido told me exactly what he recommended, and what it would cost, while also telling me to side-step something that was a ""nice to have"" rather than a ""must have"", and boy was that ""nice to have"" going to be pricey. Pretty nice to be told to save some money!
Honest, prompt, professional. That has been our Day 1 experience with Fito Plumbers. Next up, tomorrow's big install, then having them find and replace our water heater. At this point, I'm giving all of our business to Fito. Why would we not? And you should too. They have a perfect rating streak of 32 now, the Lou Gehrig of plumbing.
Part II: Well, it's the day after. Or the day after the day after. Whatever. We're happy as clams here at the casa, and our toilets are quite pleased. Lido's crew unearthed the old clay pipe, installed a new pipe, all the while discovering that, (1) The fitting used was creating flow problems; (2) The clay pipe was not in good shape; and most importantly, (3) the clay pipe was oriented in a way that the shitteth could do nothing else than hitteth the fan when moving through the pipes....it was slanted upwards at the junction with the main line. Thus, all of our wonderful waste, our poor poo poos, were having to make a ""sisyphusian"" journey to the main line. Lido and his team corrected it, put the right fitting in, hydroblasted the clean outs once again, and all is well. A+++++.
I mistakenly posted this review in June with the wrong sign-in. It shows me living in SoMa San Francisco. I live in Castro Valley ...
You can't beat no charge! The 70 year old main shutoff valve outside the house was leaking. My water usage had been sky high. Started calling other plumbers first thing 7 am Monday morning. Either they weren't available or they didn't want the work. One guy even came by the house to check it out, without telling me. He called to tell me he wouldn't do the work, but recommended a friend who never responded to my voice mail.
Fito came out the same day. He tightened the valve and it stopped leaking! He didn't think that could have caused the 275 gal per day report from EBMUD so he spent more time advising me how to isolate the leak. He then charged me nothing! He thought the high usage may have been the leaky toilet flapper I replaced the week before. But we will follow his advice and try to find the cause of the high usage ourselves. He said, ""Plumbers are expensive! Try to figure it out yourself before calling me to charge you to find it.""
