I have used this company twice in the last several weeks. Both times I called, the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. They sent someone on the same day...TWICE. The guys came and fixed both problems right away. The prices were also reasonable.
I always use yelp and did in the case of trying to find a plumber. However, I called (3) plumbers with very high ratings and all were booked up and could not come on the same day. This company did, twice, and I was very grateful - so I thought it warrented a good review.

I used Fisk-It for years. The owner, Steve Fisk, was a gem. His plumbers were excellent. The charges were reasonable and honest. The new owners seem intent on destroying the business. I called them today for two problems and they came out as promised. However, they wanted to charge me a SEPARATE service call for each problem, even though they were already here and each one would take a short time to complete. No thank you! I sent them packing.

New owners have destroyed what was once a great company. My family used them for twenty years and they used to provide excellent service at reasonable prices. However, that is sadly no longer the case. The quality of work is not always as strong. And in February 2012, they apparently switched from normal billing (hourly + parts) to a new bill-whatever-they-want system. What makes it worse is that they don't inform their customers of this before they start a job. So what should be at most a $300 job (2 hours + parts), ends up costing $600--or whatever other number they want to make up. And for the bigger jobs, it's even worse. Stay away and find another plumber. I know I will.

I've used Fisk It since Steve Fisk owned the company, then Steve sold it, I'm guessing in the late 90's....I used them still until today. I called today and scheduled a replacement of my husband's sink hardware...they quoted me $800!!!!! Really???? They say they get paid by the job. Well now they can stick the job you know where...anyone have a good, honest plumber to service the 90024 area?

I am trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, and while some of the plumbers who've come out to help us have seemed okay, unfortunately I think circumstantial evidence would suggest that these guys might be crooks. My elderly uncle paid them thousands to fix a problem they couldn't seem to figure out, and they would not provide itemized billing. Then they tried to convince us that there was a sewage leak, discouraged us from getting another opinion (always a bad sign) and the 2nd opinion we called said there was no sewage leak at all. I think I need a third opinion.

I needed my garbage disposal installed. i had everything needed, just put it in. They wanted $395. I had it done by New Pipe Plumbing, N.H. for $107.00.
Stay away from fisk-it.

New owners, new plumbers, new billing. I will never use them again. They were ""my plumber"" for many years, but no more. They bill by the job, not the hour....well what does that mean? They are not surgeons. They lost my business, sad for me, they don't care. Would not adjust their bill that was 4 x higher then normal. $420.00 to fix a bath drip....please. Then they had to come back again because they did not even check their work, and it was worse So bad. Do yourself a favor, call someone else.

I had a plumbing emergency and called Fiske It at 3:00 pm. They were here in less than one hour. They fixed the problem and cleaned up after wards. The two guys were so nice and I will definitely use them again. My elderly mom is staying with me and it was the only bathroom she can get to. They saved the day!!!

I had been using Fisk-It for the past 20 years but will never use them again. Since John took over from the Fisk Family it has not been the same. All John cares about is charging as much money as possible and not customer service. He quoted me a price to do plumbing work and then when I got the bill it was almost twice what he quoted. He even charged me for the travel time to our house (which is local). When I complained about the bill he yelled at me and he refused to reduce the bill, threatening to sue me. He doesn't understand that he is in a service business and has never heard of the term ""customer service"". The old Fisk-It Plumbing was never like that! I will NEVER use Fisk-it again.

I just had Marvin and Fred from Fisk-It out to my house to pressurize my gas line for my final inspection with the City of LA. The plumber that did the work flaked on me at the absolute last minute, so I found Fisk-It here on Yelp and called them with less than an hours notice. They were able to come out, wrestle with the oven and the washer/dryer, turn off the gas lines, make a couple repairs, and get the gas lines pressurized to pass my inspection. They did a great job and the guys were really personable.

I would have given them four starts but they are definitely more expensive than most plumbers.
