Let me start be saying that I have successfully performed my own pool equipment maintenance, modifications and updates since 1974.

Recently, I encountered a problem that baffled even me. My pump was ""starving"" for water and would not ""prime."" I could tell, from the sight gauges, that the pump was sucking air on the intake side of my system. I tried everything in my bag of tricks and still came up without an indication of where the air leak was located.

My home plumber highly recommended Fish Eye Pool Leak detection as the only people to fix this. The owner, Larry, was heavily booked but cut me out a slice of time and came by to analyze the situation. He inspected the Jandy value controlling the input from my pool and spa and said he was 99% sure that it was the problem. Since Jandy claims that their valves are maintenance free I guessed that Larry was wrong. But ""against my better judgement"" I agreed to let Larry follow his ""head.""

Larry obtained some very inexpensive internal parts, returned to my home, and in no time had the leak fixed.

I am in awe of this guy and his deftness. You can't go wrong here !!

I have been a property owner and involved in property management for decades. Used several leak detection companies over the years. A few weeks ago we began experiencing the water in our pool going down to the point where hundreds of gallons were lost weekly, we obviously had a leak. We recently have experienced huge water bills which the city suspected was coming from a leak somewhere. We figured out it wasn't inside and first called a different leak detection company who came and couldn't find the problem and ultimately never came back to finish the search. Another month, another huge bill. Next came a recommendation from the local irrigation store to call Larry at Fisheye. Such a great choice! Larry and his son came same day I called and found a rather huge leak deep in our irrigation system. He is also a plumber so went above and beyond to replace the main line so there won't be more problems in the future.

These guys know what they're talking about and won't leave until they find the problem. They have a big truck so need to leave to get parts etc., I would highly recommend Fisheye for a future problem or for plumbing needs. They were friendly and professional. I trusted them immediately. Larry also made notes to turn in to city to hopefully get some money off my water Bill.

Don't trust the reviews on Fish Eye Leak Detection, they are probably his friends. We hired Larry to do a leak test on our pool and when he came out to our house he spent around 3 hours and I was charged close to $1,000 and didn't find the leak. What was even more shocking is that there was a 4 foot long crack under the waterfall which was VERY VERY viable especially when he was in the pool looking for leaks. He spent most of his time TALKING and trying to convince me that he needed to do more testing (which in essence means giving him more money). The sad part I'm sure he saw the large crack but took advantage of me and decided not to say or identify the crack until I authorized him to keep looking for the leak.

My husband found the leak by just tilting his head under the waterfall and it was extremely visible to the naked eye. And if Larry says he didn't see it, then what kind of professional is he to begin with? See the attached pictures and tell me for yourself if you cannot see the cracks!

Be careful using him as he is very dishonest and only cares about taking the most money he can. Ironically, he will spend 30 to 45 mins convincing you of his fees and trying to justify why he charges so much and talking while he is charging you!

The other thing you MUST be aware of is Larry will tell you his ""man-hour rate"" but he doesn't tell you that he will show up with an extra employee and charge you DOUBLE the MAN HOURS! BE AWARE AND BE CAUTIOUS as I do not want anyone to be taken advantage of like what happened to us.

We will NEVER use Fish Eye Leak as he is VERY dishonest and please use this review and PROOF OF MY pictures so you can judge for yourself.

I feel cheated and hurt by wasting my hard earned money.

I was referred to Larry for a hard to find leak after another leak detection company failed to find it. Larry and his son are very professional, prompt, and very nice people to work with. They really took their time and expertise to try to determine where the leak is coming from. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Wanted to take a minute to share how happy I am with Fisheye for the work they just did in my bathroom. Larry (Lawrence) and his son Josh came to repair a leaky tub faucet, and as per usual they were here when they said they would be and in and out with the work in an hour. Both came with Covid protection masks on, super courteous as always and prepared to knock the work out. I would recommend these guys for any plumbing needs!
