I contacted First Service Plumbing for an estimate and wasn't informed that they have a service charge of $85 dollars. I have a garden hose faucet that is leaking due to a crack in the pipe. To replace would be a simple job taking max or two hours and I was quoted almost $500. I first needed to speak with my husband about doing the job for that price and since I couldn't accept the cost that's when I was informed there was an $85 service call. Then the tech couldn't tell me if they would be able to get to the job this week or not or if I did accept the job later if the $85 dollars would be taken off the charge of the entire job.

We've been living at a new house in Crescent City for a year. When we first moved here, we had never had a well and pump to deal with. Ruben came out and showed us what to do and how to deal with it.

Perfect.

Last summer, when the power was out due to a fire, Patrick was helping our neighbors and tried for a few hours to get our pump connected to our generator. It didn't work, mainly because we had a cheap generator that would not cooperate.

Last night, our water pressure dropped and we were stuck. Rafael came out (3 hours earlier than our appointment was scheduled) and he fixed the issue.

He fixed the issue while I stood there, asking questions and bothering him while he was working. He was patient and explained everything to me. We now have water and excellent pressure.

First Service has bailed my homeowner butt out so many times it would be hard to nail it down to just one act of excellence but to be brief here's one:

Last Easter my septic pump went out leaving my home in crisis. I called First Service to arrange an appointment. Within an hour Patrick rolled up to my house with his daughter in tow, ""to take a look"" at what needed to be done to get me up and running. Within an hour he had me patched up enough for the day and had scheduled the fix for the next day. On. Easter. Sunday.

The repair was completed asap the next week and the price was extremely fair. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear septic-splashed hoodies...

I had a very urgent problem in my upstairs kitchen just now and Patrick, Craig, and Gabriel thankfully bailed me out. Their response time getting to my home was insanely fast and they had the problem fixed very quickly. All three guys were really friendly and I definitely plan on using them for more projects in the future (and, God-forbid, if I have another emergency).

Beware of outrageous pricing! I called First Service to go out to my elderly father's mobile home to fix a leak on his toilet. The technician cut the plastic water line to the toilet replaced the valve and added a short piece of line. All of which took less than thirty minutes. I was shocked to receive a bill of $264.00. I was so shocked I called to inquire if my bill was correct, and I asked to speak to the manager or owner. I was informed that the company uses a national ""app"" and they simply enter the work and it gives them a price to charge. Seems like an excuse to price gouge to me. Not a fair price for fair work. I never heard from the owner.

Inspection was scheduled for a Thursday, they called Monday to move it up to Tuesday. Due to short notice, I could not be present for the inspection.
This ""complete septic inspection"" cost $250.
My own garden hose in the very easy to reach tank and 17 words cost $250?

When I spoke to Pat, the owner, he said I'm unusual because I read the report.

It was raining, which pat also mentioned is not preferred to complete inspection.

Well here I am again leaving a review for First Service Plumbing and Heating! Twice they've come for plumbing issues and done exceptional work. This time our heating system needed to be replaced. They recommended a new system and installed it. Love our new system and again I can't say enough great things about this company and their service. Thank you Pat Hawkins

These guys are the best. We had a whole shower that needed to be replaced and they came in and completely redid it, and fixed a problem that we'd had for a long time. Very professional and clean! Great service and good price.

When down and out call First Service Plumbing Heating they are at your home that very day and will fix all your plumbing needs and heating problems with top notch costumer service as well . The family run business shows thru their experience and knowledge and friendly service thanks to them not once not twice but three times they have been to my house to fix my water needs that very day and within the hour of calling . For myself there is no other plumber or family based company to call but first service plumbing ... Why ? Your all most likely thinking because they treat you like your family too that's why ... ... thank you First service plumbing thanks to you we didn't have to go without water and our daily showers thanks to you and to me your company rocks it

These guys are so professional and accommodating! They worked with us to achieve the look we wanted in our home.
