Gi F.Wanted to hire them based on their positive reviews and simply asked for a rough estimate to install a new hot water heater. As a young, first time home owner, this is all new to me and I know nothing about plumbing and below was the response I received. At least I know now that I should get plumbers to come over to the house to provide an estimate. ?. Just needed an idea of what to budget... was not my intention to waste anyone's time.
Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business, but unfortunately we cannot estimate jobs through emails. I'm not sure why you are attempting to get multiple quotes before having anyone come to your home and give you the actual price. This is a waste of time. Thank you anyways.
Sincerely,
Jon Carpenter
After a long day at work the last thing I wanted to deal with was a plumbing issue at 3am. I'm happy to say after contacting Steve he was able to respond promptly and remedy the situation. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who may find themselves with any Plumbing issues, not only is he prompt, knowledgeable and efficient, he is also friendly and understanding something that not everyone would be as they are woke up in the middle of the night to deal with a strangers problems.
if I could give this place 0 stars I would. They are extremely shady . I highly warn anyone that uses them. I asked them to fix a simple leak from a drain pipe in my basement..First they ripped up my whole bathroom ,tiles, sink bathtub walls etc..they said the problem was coming from there. Then they ripped up another wall on the other side of my house saying it was from there..I kept saying to steve the so called plumber that just fix the pipe and plug it up in the basement...this shouldn't be this difficult. After $6000 dollars of work then another $500 of painting and fixing the holes ..he finally said oh yea I fixed the pipe in the basement by sealing it..Why not try that from the beginning? Instead of ruining my house..I also filed a complaint with BBB along with filing a complaint with his plumber licensing board.
Please beware
Their work is poor quality and they dont come back to follow up with waranty repaira. They charge arm and a leg!
I would put zero if it were possible. First, they came July 30th to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. They charged over $2,100 and one schmuck worked for many hours and could not figure out what is wrong. It took about 5+ hours of him going back and forth to the shop to try and figure out what is wrong. He was constantly on the phone with someone giving him advise and teaching him how to rip us off. He later gave us a contract that says that if something is wrong they will come back. Of course something is wrong, the schmuck that fixed the problem did not only not fix the problem, he made it 10 times worse that the pipes in the kitchen sink remain leaking, after they installed new pipes, and flooded the bottom of the cabinet completely destroying the inside of the cabinet. I called them on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, I asked them to please come over and fix the sink, since this is what the contract promised. The guy on the phone, refused to give his name, said that they were busy today and he could not come out, although I had an emergency and they already had my money. They said they could come out the next day, Thursday, October 5, 2017, between 9 am to 2 pm. My mother in law waited all day and no one came and no one called. I called back after 3 pm and the same guy tells me they were stuck on a job. No apologies and no courtesy call. He said they would come out Friday, for sure. He would call me. I took Friday off from work, waited and waited and called, but they wouldn't take my calls and never responded to my voicemails. Called back again and finally got the same guy. He said that they are too busy on the weekends and they cannot come out to fix anything, even emergencies. Oh really? He assured me he would come out on Monday, October 10th. When I called him back to ask why he never showed up on any of the days and keeps promising to call me back, he said that I am harrassing him now and because me husband gave him a bad review I can go f---- myself he is never coming out because he received a bad review. Very professional!!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS AND THIS CRAPPY BUSINESS AND SHITTY PLUMBERS. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY. THEY OVERCHARGE YOU. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I GUESS I WILL SEE THEM ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAW.
STEVE THE SCAM ARTIST! Operates under different business names with different addresses. Addresses he gave us don't even exist. Ripped off my parents. Agreed on a price which was ridiculous to begin with, then charged my parents an extra $500 after doing the shoddy work. Put my sick dad in a bad spot. The loser wanted cash and went to the bank with my dad and argued with him. Never finished the work. Hose fell down, other one left out of the wall because the jerk didn't have the right piece with him. My parents and I called him, he lied to us and hung up on us several times. Also operates under First Response Plumbing in RVC. Originally called North Bellmore Plumbing at 2442 Jerusalem Ave (found out later it doesn't exist) and was referred to Steve at First Response. WHAT A HORRIBLE PERSON TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SENIORS!!
This service are scam artists. They did three pieces of work for my restaurant and all three have had to be redone by plumbers who 1. Are actually licensed and 2. Have the faintest idea what they're doing.
They have blocked all attempts to contact them.
BEWARE. This business came to my home for a 5 minute job of cleaning the main and charged me $500.00. Said a needed another $1200.00 additional service to keep the main open. Wanted cash or check! When they left my regular plumber called me back and said the job was a $100.00 job!!! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.
Jessica T.Wish I could give them a zero. Unbelievably bad. Hired to install two faucets and add ""new guts"" to 2 toilets. The first faucet install took over three hours, which included flooding the kitchen, then my spouse had to go out so he paid him $1050 upfront plus $50 tip. What a mistake - the other three jobs took about five minutes and he left asap. Within 5 min I used the kitchen faucet and the hose came off the faucet and flooded the kitchen. Called him to come back, and he flooded the kitchen another three times trying to attach the hose to the faucet. I looked at the installation instructions and it said to use the big provided blue clip to hold the hose onto the faucet. Which when he did that, it worked. Five floods of my kitchen and three hours to install a faucet. He had no idea how to plumb. So i checked the rest of the work and neither toilet had been touched! One had a new clip to attach the handle to chain and the other one had no work done and still didn't work. Confronted him to no avail. Fraudsters.
DO NOT HIRE
just charged me 300$ to snake a toilet, did NOT fix problem. I wasn't home so I couldn't argue the price. Absolute crap, FRAUD
