Completed initial job of changing out 3 outdoor faucets and laundry tray fixture with quote of $325, and billed $468. I didn't question this because laundry tray job seemed more complicated than I thought and billing seemed in line with other quotes. But, I went with First Class because of initial $325 quote. While working on faucets he looked at existing PRV and ball valve and suggested changing that out as it looked old and inoperable. When I asked cost he said about $450. I said I would eventually need to get it done so I would think about it. When he got to the laundry tray he said he would need to return later because it was not as he expected and need additional materials. But he said no additional costs for this job that he would bill me for and bill me separately for the PRV and ball valve job that he had mentioned and I understood to be for $450. We agreed to a return date to complete laundry tray job and the larger PRV, ball valve job. And I was to be the first customer in the new year. Later that day I get invoiced for $468 for a job that he had quoted $325. But, as I said it didn't seem unreasonable. Few days before scheduled return he calls to change to a later date because he has another job/s to get to. No mention that he said I was to be the first. Not a problem as my job was not an emergency. He later sends a multiple paged formal quote with large, clear print of $450. I quickly click on agree without reading fine print that he later says quoted price was only for labor. I didn't disagree that I missed it because I assumed a quote was just that, the cost of the job. I expressed my disappointment to receive an invoice after the completed job for $942, more than double my mistakenly understood quote of $450. Included in that $942 in voice was a labor charge of $50 for additional work on the laundry tray that he said I had already paid for! I checked with over a dozen YELP listed plumbers, and only one came in at a quote of $950 because his quotations are flat rate based, but still open to negotiate. Most fell in the range of $390-750, averaging out to $550, or $525 if I removed cheapest and most expensive. Biggest mistake I made was not getting multiple quotes before selecting a plumber for the bigger job. Also, for not reading the multiple paged fine print of First Class Plumbing's formal quote. Whit of First Class Plumbing of course does not admit being deceptive or even misleading. I told him I had no complaints with his plumbing work but certainly questioned his business practice. That if I had pursued multiple bids for the job, my request for bids to include parts and labor, he wouldn't have been one of the 3-4 I would eventually select from to final bid. Just a note, Whit's labor cost of $450 flat rate, was way over the $90-125 hourly rate that others quoted. The job took Whit no more than an hour to complete. Yes, the rule is ""Buyer beware!""

Look no further - this is your plumber! I manage a condominium in Waikiki from California and when I found out from a friend that the unit smelled like sewer, I scrambled to find a plumber yesterday because I have potential tenants looking at the place in two days. I called other plumbing companies but nobody would give me the time of day to even talk to a plumber to ask questions just to ask if this was a fixable problem. I called First Class, explained the situation and within 15 min I got a call back from the plumber, Whit. He said he was finishing up a job and would be at my unit in an hour. We did a virtual call and I guided him in getting into the unit on his own. Unlike other companies that said someone had to be present and that it was a 3 hour window to wait for a plumber. First Class plumbing service was prompt, flexible and so accommodating from the get go. As soon as he got there he immediately determined that because of non-use of my brand new two month old toilets in a condo building, the water in the traps can evaporate and leak sewage smell. He filled every single drain back up with water and ensured the unit didn't smell before leaving and went thru the process of returning the keys back. The next day, he sent a text message with additional solutions on how to fix the current problem and how to prevent this from happening again. From start to finish, EXCELLENT customer service and such a prompt response. Totally trust First Class and he will remain our plumbing go to. Thank you Whit!

Bathroom sink clogged, tried drano and she no go. So I needed something urgent because it was after hours. Called these guys and within the hour, plumber came by and fixed the issue and snaked the pipes in an hour during after hours. Great job. Mahalo!!! Rate is $300/hr during after hours $140/hr during regular hours.

My parents' bathtub and toilet were backed up Thursday night. Contacted several plumbers Friday morning, no answer, no available time. Finally found one plumber and claimed they could arrive after 5pm. Plumber arrived and tried snaking the toilet and the bathroom but couldn't unclog it. Suggested to open up the wall and use a bigger snake but it was too late and due to Condo policy no loud noises after 7pm and of course we did not want to open up the wall and end up having a leak pipe from the wall. I did a quick search and found First Class Plumber and requested a quote on Yelp and they responded within minutes. Scheduled with Whit for Saturday morning. He stayed till the end to make sure the job was done and unclogged the bathtub and toilet. High recommend Whit for any plumbing job!

Believe the 5-star ratings! First Class Plumbing. The name is so appropriate. Whit was first class all the way. Courteous, caring and extremely Professional. Treated me like his friend or ohana. Had water heater problems and he responded immediately. He even took an extra trip to the store to assure I got a product that was in the best possible condition. That's taking pride in his work. I was unlucky with the plumbing problem, but was fortunate enough to find this company and especially, Whit.

We have had some crazy plumbing emergencies in the past few months...exploding water heater, low pressure in the kitchen faucet, leaky toilets. Whitley returned our calls and also answered messages right away and was so great and knowledgeable with everything. He stayed till the end and made sure the job was done right EVERY TIME he had to come by. Ana provided me with a quick and respectably priced quote for the parts and labor. The very next day Whit came over to perform the installation and haul away the old water heater. Excellent plumbing company with fantastic response time. We are very happy with the work Whit did for us this week. Whit is a great plumber and awesome person! We have a 60 year old condo where the plumbing repairs take patience and determination to get the job done right, all under the pressure of a limited time period water shut-off. Whit has skills, experience and most importantly integrity. His pricing is very reasonable and he takes pride in his work. Our 30 year old improperly stubbed Angle stops were quite difficult to change out, and Whit calmly and kindly took the time necessary to it.
