Eugene and team was terrific. Scheduled service while out of town talked me through everything needed to replace 3 tank gas water heaters. Discussed the optimal units for space and even came earlier than expected to install. They completed all their work in an afternoon and did a great job. Was prompt with estimate and went above and beyond to make sure everything was updated properly without increasing estimate. I would highly recommend them.

Amazing service - super prompt and reliable and I would highly recommend them for your plumbling needs. I really felt they were trustworthy and they did a great job of installing a new hot water heater for me quickly and for a good price. They were accommodating with all my questions and even stayed after the appointment to help me with some future plumbing ideas. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Thanks guys :)

We had new countertops installed, and a new sink along with it, and I was looking for a plumber to come in behind them to get our faucet (installed) and reconnected. We also had a fixture we wanted changed out in the bathroom. These guys were able to come out that same day and do everything I needed done.

They couldn't test the bathroom fixture and warned me about the leak that absolutely occurred because of the drain size. I texted them, they came back out now that they could run the water, and got me all fixed up (again). I really hope I'm not a regular customer, but I know I have great plumbers if I do.

Saved the day! I know it's Chicago and naturally there's more in the industry but still. For a fast on demand fix that's done professionally and without judgment, A+ 100% 6 STARS! Customer service recurrently first to respond and communicate with me via easiest method email phone text etc. Billing was a snap! Fast secure and safe via check or Chase Quick Pay with Visa or Mastercard (wouldn't accept Amex no complaints here as most in the industry charge the consumer a 3 pct swipe fee or offer cash discount, no haggling here. Sure I could have attempted to fix this broken toilet myself but when you are entertaining there's no time for discrepancies. Eugene and Atanas are the two most courteous I've met. Believe me even I would have pause over this small job due to odd birthday costumes etc. Lol. I suggest they offer a area for later follow up review with gratuity. Granted this job wasn't huge but I do firmly believe in gratuity if a jobs done above and beyond expectations and earlier than promised! I literally pulled up when they arrived on time they were done an hour earlier! That's critical to me having dealt with runaround etc. Again, if you want diy or cheap then go do it. If you want a firm solid number that doesn't have surprises, this is IT! THEY SAVED THE DAY!

Great experience. Got a quote from yelp to replace a water heater in a rental unit. Eugene was easy to communicate with and provided a turnkey experience at a fair price. Would highly recommend them.

I can't speak to the quality of their work, but their customer service left a lot to be desired. I inquired about an issue I had and through messaging, they were dismissive and seemed uninterested in helping. The water heater is fairly new and when I explained that, I was told to call the manufacturer to order parts. Im in need of a technician/repair man because I don't know what is wrong with the water heater to begin with. How am I supposed to know what parts I need if I don't even know what is wrong? After I made that clear, I was ignored and did not receive any further response.

As an update, I was just contacted by the company this morning asking me to take down my review. They proceeded to be argumentative, condescending, and dismissive regarding the incident. I explained to them that I would not be taking down my review regarding their customer service and was disappointed in their lack of professionalism.

The most horrible thing that has ever happened to me was my kitchen sink becoming clogged. I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen since I have a garbage disposal and am very careful what I put in there!
Anyways, I tried the Yelp app feature of asking for estimates from different plumbing places, and first Chicago was the only one that responded with an actual dollar amount estimate right away.

They fixed the problem for the amount of money they estimated. I will definitely use them for my future plumbing needs.

I will say, they changed our appt time the day of because the plumber had to bump is to see an emergency. Of course, if I have an emergency in the future I would be happy if they came to keep first so I get it. But, if you are a person that is very impatient or anal about time you have to consider that.

My husband and I recently bought our first home and had a lot of issues with our basement, including bursting sewage pipes, flooding, etc. Eugene was incredibly helpful in explaining what needed to be done. He was also willing to come by on a short notice, even on weekends, and did very good work. In addition, Eugene also installed a laundry box in a unit we rehabbed, and did a terrific job. We would recommend First Chicago Plumbing to anyone looking for a responsive and highly qualified plumber.
