A friend of mine recommended this company .We called First Call Pluming with a clogged sewer problem.Not only did they come out right away ,they fixed the problem and their rates were reasonable.They have great customer service skills and treat your house like there own. I highly recommend them for any plumbing problems you may have.You cant go wrong by calling this company.Mike is a honest hard working man and not out to over charge you.

Awesome! Mike answered my call on a Sunday morning! He was able to come that afternoon to give an estimate for a broken water pipe and fixed it that same day! He showed us exactly what was going on explained what he did. We are so very thankful for the wondeful job he & Carlos did! So very glad we gave him a call and very pleased with the quote!

I called Mike about a plugged drain line that was backing up water in both kitchen sinks. Luckily he happened to be working in the Carmichael area already. He said he would be available within about 2 hours and would call again before coming by. He called on time and said he would arrive within 20 minutes. He arrived on time and went to straight work on the cleanout outside. Based on the problem I had described to him over the phone, he said he did not need to go in the house. He used a professional snake to go about 65'-70' under the house, and within 10 minutes the sewer line running under my slab-floor house was clear and free of any blockage. He showed us the ball made of lint from the washing machine and grease from the kitchen. He recommended not to let any food scraps go down the kitchen sink drain and that there wasn't much one could do about the washing machine discharge. A job well done on time. The best $125 I ever spent. I would gladly pay it again to have such service and to get this problem off of my back when I most needed it to be done.

These guys are great! I have a clogged sewer drain and they tried their hardest to get it unclogged but it wouldn't happen. :( Mike told me he was going to call the county for me because he figured it might be on their side. He called them for me and they showed up in an hour, checked the sewage pipe and it is on their side. So they are fixing it and cleaning up the nasty mess it left in my backyard. I will be calling First Call Plumbing in the future if I have any other problems because they are very helpful and know what they are doing and helped me get the problem fixed when they couldn't.

Mike and crew were THE BEST!! Within 45 minutes of my call which includes his 20 minute drive across town to my house, my drain was cleared. Mike was tidy, professional and quite a friendly and courteous person. He gave me suggestions on how I could avoid the problem I called him for and warrantied his work for 90 days. I would give First Call an 8 Star Review because every review of this Professional Service should rightfully be 5 stars.

When you have a problem with your plumbing or sewer system, you needed it to be done yesterday! I don't have to say too much about the service provided because you can get all of that info from previous reviews.

First, the problem is figured out without any guess work. Decision making is scientific and the hard work is done with ease. For those that have no clue and think that things are easy to fix and want to DIY, do not try this at home. Having the best equipment, experience, team work, and solutions, Mike and the team will exceed your expectations. Carlos is a champion! (the wife's word) Then, once the job's done, you don't just have a problem solved, you have a guarantee that it is the best option.

If you want to shop around for quotes or service options then go ahead and make those calls.

But if you want the problem solved for the best price, take the First Call, it might be your only.

The staff were courteous however we were dismayed to learn work performed wasn't completed to code. After contacting Mike he did come out and take care of things correctly but we wish we didn't have to double-check the work performed to make sure it met permit requirements.

So glad I called Mike! My water was shut off and I needed emergency service on a holiday weekend. I was told the service line would likely need to be replaced. Mike came out as quickly as possible and assessed the situation. He could have taken the larger job and I never would have known that the pipe could be repaired rather than replaced. Instead, Mike repaired the pipe and came back a few hours later to turn my water back on. I couldn't have asked for a better experience on what had started out as a very stressful day.

Here's my experience with background:

I had attempted to snake our sewer line with a rental from Home Depot primarily due to the usual prohibitive cost of calling a professional. In my attempt, a 20 foot section of the professional plumber snake broke off in my main sewer line. I went back to Home Depot and was essentially told the breakage was my fault and was offered no help in rectifying the now exacerbated problem. Using their chat service, my unfortunate first contact with a professional was Bell Bros., also with whom I have a membership giving me discounted service. In my ""chat"" I had explicitly indicated there was a 5/8th inch professional snake broken off in my sewer line, there is no clean-out available to retrieve the snake and the broken snake needed be retrieved prior to another snake being used; I was told this set of circumstances was not an issue and should not affect the cost of service. Be aware, just to have Bell Bros. dispatched to your house usually costs $79.95, which is where Mike and First Call Plumbing starts to outshine his competition. The technician was completely unaware of the facts I told the chat representative not 12 hours prior. The technician then proceeds to tell me because there is a broken snake he cannot use another snake to clear the clog and Bell Bros doesn't have the equipment to retrieve the broken snake. So my question at this point is:""WHY THE HECK did I just pay you to be dispatched to my house for you to tell me what I told your representative yesterday and have you reiterate what I already know???"" So the Bell Bros technician quoted me ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED dollars to locate my sewer pipe and install a 2-way clean-out, which didn't include unclogging the pipe or removing the broken snake. Needless to say I was done.

I turned to Yelp and THANKFULLY found First Call Plumbing.

Mike and I agreed to a next day meeting, to which he arrived early preceded by a confirmatory call. Unlike Bell Bros., Mike actually listened to my situation, we discussed the situation with all available options. I was won over by his professionalism, compassionate demeanor, honesty and EXCEPTIONAL value. Furthermore, Mike was 100% transparent throughout the entire process even allowing me to take a picture of the root ball occluding my sewer pipe. We agreed upon a plan of action and now I have a functioning sewer line for significantly less than Bell Bros was trying to wring out of me. I am going to discontinue my Bell Bros membership and keep First Call Plumbing in my contact list for any future needs.

In essence, DO NOT HESITATE to call Mike at First Call Plumbing with your issue, he is unlike the big companies in every possible POSITIVE way.
