Mike and his crew installed a trench less sewer line back in Feb 2016 in our East Sac home. They did an excellent job and even contacted the Sac city to put in a repair request so our new line went all the way. Mike himself was fantastic and followed through. I fed his crew lunch and he wanted to deduct that cost from my bill but I would not let him! They all worked so hard and if I could give them more stars I would! Thx so much

Mike was very helpful. I called Sunday evening and he touched base with me again at 9 am the next day and was able to meet me by 11. He was early, professional and fast! Our kitchen sink was backing up in to the sink in the garage and he had it unclogged in less than 15 minutes. Very good price too. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again if necessary.

We have a small guest cottage behind our house where the sink had become very slow to drain and then stopped altogether. Another highly rated plumber correctly diagnosed the situation: The huge redwood tree behind our house had completely packed the drain with roots. But he lacked the equipment and expertise to fix it and would have to subcontract out parts of the job.

Based on Yelp reviews we called First Call Plumbing for a second opinion. Mike picked up the phone right away and was at our house quickly. He and Carlos, who have worked as a team for 13 years, had everything they needed in their work truck. They used a camera to probe the pipes under our house to determine the extent of the damage and showed me on video the masses of roots clogging the pipes beneath the guest cottage.

Just as the other plumber had, they told me it would require using a jackhammer to drill two large holes through the concrete slab to access the pipes and replace them. They quoted me a fair price that included the two hours of work they had already done and a lifetime warranty. They said they could get started right away.

It was a difficult job, but Mike and Carlos tackled it remarkably well as a team. It took them one long afternoon and the next morning to complete, but I can easily imagine it might have taken someone else several days and been much more disruptive. They removed the 50-year-old pipes and showed us that the redwood tree had completely packed a cast-iron drain pipe and split it open! They replaced the pipes, filled the holes, and put down new concrete. Once we replaced the linoleum, they came back to install a new sink and faucet without charging extra.

There are other plumbers out there who can do a great job installing a faucet or unclogging a toilet. These guys described themselves as ""diggers"". If you have a tough job involving underground pipes, I would especially recommend them. Thank you Mike and Carlos!

The 70 year old orangeburg sewer line in my backyard needed replacement, so I researched a few trenchless sewer companies and received 3 different estimates. I am so very happy that I chose First Call Plumbing and Sewer Service! Mike (owner) and Carlos are extremely professional, informative, friendly, and obviously take good pride in their work. Their customer service was exceptional! I know it can be a nightmare as a customer when you are trying to find a reputable company for any type of home repair. Well, if you have any sewer line needs, this is the company to call.

Sunday Father's Day our bathtub started filling up. I went to Yelp and I looked for the top people. Call First came up and the reviews were wonderful, but I was afraid to call somebody out on a Sunday on Father's Day, because most people in this field are men and I was afraid of the cost for an emergency trip. So we waited till Monday. Monday morning we called and Mike the owner answered the phone, said he was swamped on Monday he would try his best to get out in the afternoon but he wasn't sure, he suggested we might want to find somebody else, if not he would try for Monday, if not Tuesday for sure. 20 minutes later he called and said he would be on his way he came out of the house he and Carlos were very professional, caring, concerning. I got the job done very reasonably priced, great guys. I would recommend them in a minute. Thanks guys, Blue says hi.

Not knowing our house well yet, having only moved in a short while ago, we were worried when we saw saturated soil in the crawl space. Mike came out the same day we called and with a little detective work, was able to determine there was no leak, but that our drip line had caused soil saturation that was flowing back toward the house (time to remove the plants all these older houses have along the foundation edge). He and his assistant were professional and courteous - and he didn't even charge me for his time (though I would have gladly paid for the peace of mind). Would definitely recommend.

I have never written a review before on Yelp but after using First Call plumbing twice now I really get I should as Mike (the owner) is amazing!

He is no where near the stereotypical plumber! He is on time, honest, smart and clean! Both times he was able to come over to my house within 30 minutes of me calling, even though the last time was on a Friday at like 5pm when he was heading home for dinner! I will be a customer for life!

First Call Plumbing is the definitely the best out there! Twice we have had to call on a Sunday when the sewer backed up and Mike has always gone out of his way to fit us in so it could be fixed that day! He is professional and knows his stuff. We used to be think we had a good plumber before but will definitely be switching to First Call Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs in the future!
