First Call Plumbing and Sewer Service

Our main sewer line backed up on the Saturday before Christmas, and our attempts to snake it to clear the blockage were unsuccessful. After reading these Yelp reviews, we called Mike and he came out that same day within a couple hours of when we called. He was here when he promised, was professional, fixed our problem quickly, scoped our line so we could see the condition of the pipe, all for a reasonable fixed price. We are keeping his card and plan to call him again with our next plumbing need.

Okay, so I can't say enough about Mike and this company! Not only was he there exactly when he said, he gave the best service that we've ever received from a service call for any reason.

This particular scenario, we had a plugged up bathroom and had already called a plumber the day before who spent a couple hours and didn't fix the problem. Instead, the first plumber tracked mud through my house, actually making it worse for me. When Mike got here, he did everything possible to avoid tracking anything in our house by putting on some fabric booties over his shoes like in a hospital.

Next, he didn't waste time with old fashioned techniques and got straight to his expensive ""camera snake"" is what I'll call it. Went down the line, then found exactly where the head of the snake stopped and was clogged.

Now, here's the best part and what separates Mike into a category of people that deserves praise. Instead of charging me the 500-600 that is common for this type of issue, Mike noticed that it was so close to the county clean out area that they should actually have to come and clear it for free. So we are currently waiting for the county to come handle this.

To add icing on top, instead of ""thanks for the money"" and just leaving without any further information, Mike told us to give him a call after the county is done, whether it worked or not, just to make sure everything went smoothly. If not, he said he'd be right back out when we need him. That my friend is real customer service and I appreciate it beyond belief!

Our pipe leading from the sewer line to the house was clogged with tree roots. This has happened before so we assumed we could rent a snake from home depot and take care of it ourselves. WRONG. After attempting all day to fix it ourselves we gave up and called Mike around 4:30 pm on a FRIDAY! He answered right away and was at our house within an hour. He worked on our house until about 7:30 pm, again this was a Friday, and was able to fix the issue. He even ran a camera down the pipe to see the what the issue was which was, as we assumed, a cracked pipe. He quoted us a price to get our pipe replaced and I'm sure when we are ready to have that done he will be our first call.

He quoted us $150 on the phone before he came and honored that price even though he worked on the pipe longer than expected. We will definitely be calling Mike for any future plumbing needs.

I called Mike this morning to look and assess the problem on our toilet and sewer. Mike is very busy was still able to attend to my call even on weekend. This is very rare for a plumber. He confirmed to me that he will see the issue after he finished the job. After few minutes, Mike arrived. He inspect the issue and found out that the problem is the toilet and not the sewer. I asked him if he can replace the toilet and fix the problem and he honestly told me that this is not his line of work. Mike still checks the clogged toilet using his snake and he found out that there are roots which causes the clogging. He advised to pull out the toilet and clean up the downspout and replace the toilet. I asked him how much is his professional service but he refuse to charge me. You can very seldom find a plumber like Mike. He is honest and his pricing is reasonable. He is very professional and never take advantage of any situation. I highly recommend his service.

I can't say enough about the level of service Mike provided. First of all I should say that as an insurance adjuster I see my share of good and bad in the industry and Mike is definitely one of the best. I had a sewer backup that affected every drain in my home. I spent the better part of a day calling our home warranty service trying to get them to assign me a plumber for that day. I got the run around and finally gave up and called my own. Thanks to yelp I found Mike. He was at my place in less than an hour, gave me some suggestions on where to look for a plumbing cleanout and told me to call in the AM if I still needed him (he didn't charge for this which is unheard of in this day and age). I did call him the next morning and he came out first thing in the morning and within a couple hours had a cleanout installed, roots snaked and removed and ran a camera to show me the condition of my sewer line. He charged me half of what I was quoted by other companies. Do not hesitate to call Mike at First Call if you have a sewer problem!
