Had a flooding issue in August 2023. They said they could fix it, save the wall in my basement, and guarantee it would never leak again.
What was supposed to take 4-5 days, actually took 5 weeks and cost 150% of their estimate at just over $30,000.
They hit my house with their equipment, busted a window, the replacement is leaking, there is still water coming in.
The job looks shoddy and unprofessional.
I'm not at all happy with the service, the pricing, or the work performed.

Recently, the different numbers for this company are connect to a service that does not have a mailbox set up. After trying to get work done in March and having a credit card charged a lot of money, I wanted to discuss the charges with the owner. I did get through to the office 3-4 different times after lots of phones calls. I was told each time that the owner would call me back but he NEVER did! I am sooooo disappointed in this company. This is not the way a business should run!

These people caused me real big problems. They waited weeks to come to fix a broken water line, that I needed for spraying my crops. When the plumber did show up, though I gave him detailed instructions where the line was which was above ground and easy to see, he texted that he couldn't find it. I immediately tried to contact him to direct him to it but he gave me the answering service for a return number so it was impossible to reach him directly. He reported the next day that he couldn't find the address and I wouldn't return his call. I asked the office why he didn't ask me to return the call on his cell phone while he was there, and they said he didn't want to give out his cell phone. Now they said I have to wait weeks for him to come again. These people are extraordinarily passive aggressive and will make sure you're job never gets done.

Sat on hold for ten minutes (w awful music in background)- phone starts ringing three minutes later no response.
That is horrible customer non-service! Or nonsense. Frustrating.

Best customer service over the phone I have encountered in 20 years. looking for a part, not sure what I needed. Not only did she tell me exactly what i needed, but where to purchase it.
I was overwhelmed.
!0 minutes later, phone rang. She actually called me back with a exact part number.
Firelands plumbing has made a new customer today. Thank you,
Hal Miles

This company has lots of problems. My daughter used them for a blocked drain. Ended up costing her over 2,000$! They walked through her house with dirty nasty boots, and dumped a pile of waste in her backyard. They would not even honor a coupon that they sent in the mail!
Beware.

If you are a home owner who is reading these reviews to find the best plumber in the tri-county area, you found him. Brian Hockenberry and his company, Firelands Plumbing, are the best. Brian will tell you that Firelands Plumbing is not the cheapest or the most expensive. That is true. But what they are is the most affordable. The reason for that is that they do the job once, and they do it correctly, so you only have to pay for it once. Other plumbers I have used don't do the job correctly, can't do the job because it's too challenging and they don't have the equipment, or won't return my calls when something breaks or leaks. Firelands Plumbing is the opposite of that. I bought a fixer-upper a few years ago and little did I know it needed entirely repiped and it needed the sewer line replaced because the old clay pipe had been shattered by a huge tree. I am so glad I chose Firelands to help fix my fixer-upper. Brian and his team have always responded immediately to calls and messages; they come out the same day or next morning; they have decades of experience and the best equipment to diagnose and fix any problem. In particular this company succeeds because of the person at its helm. Brian Hockenberry is the model of ethical business management. When he is on the job site, it raises the caliber of the rest of the group. He is smart, efficient, fair, honest, and confident in his expertise. And not for nothing, he is very sweet to my pug dog and that means a lot to me! Pretty much anything a person could possibly need done to a home's plumbing, I needed. I'm so glad that Brian and Firelands Plumbing were there to get everything fixed correctly. Thanks, Brian!

Stay away from this company. Firelands Plumbing has big communication issues. Someone came out on 4-4-19 and spoke with my husband regarding an estimate for a gas line for a pool heater. He said he would email an estimate in the next week. My husband called there exactly one week later on 4-11-19 and was told they could not find the work order. Hmmm.... it was Dane who was at our home. That's okay, we will be going with Gilbert Plumbing who has always taken care of our heating and plumbing needs.
Within five minutes of posting this, Dane calms me. I politely told him that we would no longer be needing his services we chose elsewhere. He asked if he could ask what they were charging. I told him that it was none of his business and have a nice day.

I had some huge issues in a summer cottage in late June. Called them on Monday, they showed up on Tuesday to assess the issue, performed 90% of the issues on Wednesday. They left me with running water until they finished the job on Friday. I think Rob and Dane worked on the cottage. Seriously consider them when looking for a plumber.
