Long overdue review... My family got me looking at whole home water filtration systems and saltless conditioners. Many late nights narrowed my search and I spoke to reps from MANY companies. Quotes were all over the map and everything was proprietary or something that would take a biochemistry Ph.D. to understand. I narrowed it down to 2 people and Carlos got the sale thanks to his prompt replies to ALL my Yelp messages. It didn't matter if it was 10:00pm, he replied - to the point I became uncomfortable sending messages as I knew they'd get immediate attention; tried to keep all correspondence to business hours after that. He chalked it up to customer service and life of a trade-plumber but his level of service is something not to be taken for granted.

Anyway, his price was the cheapest BY FAR. I am not one to go with the cheapest guy but he explained his business model. He's a plumber that's contracted to install these systems for a living. Selling the filters direct to me cuts out the middle man making it far cheaper as I don't need to pay Costco, for example, to contract him. I will now contact him for all plumbing needs.

Now, what you're here for. My water is CLEAN! He threw in a 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis in my kitchen (again, could've charged me but threw it in for free, no negotiating). I went with the Prefilter (Big Blue), Carbon filter with 2-types of carbon and a SORB filter. Prefilter handles all sediment and rust from city pipes, Carbon removes chlorine and makes the water taste great and SORB prevents buildup on fixtures (anti-scale). This is NOT soft water, it's considered conditioned water.

Carlos was very clear, to be ""Whole Home Drinking Water"" claimed by many competitors, it should be free of fluoride. Well, the water out of my RO is free of fluoride but the rest of the house is not. That said, it still tastes great everywhere and the occasional midnight glass of water out of my master-bath sink with trace amounts of fluoride won't kill me if I'm too lazy to trek to the kitchen. It all tastes exactly the same. Carlos also connected the RO before the loop going to my refrigerator so my ice cubes are RO as well.

I was so pleased with everything, I had my boss purchase the same system from him - we're both tough to please and neither of us could be happier.

TL;DR: Hire Carlos, he's honest, fair and offers a level of service your grandfather told you about in the days of full-service gas stations and nickel hot dogs.

If I could give more stars I would. I was looking to get a water softener and tankless heater installed.
Carlos took his time and explained in detail how he would proceed with the project, and answered every single question I had.
On the day of installation he showed up right on time (cpl minutes early actually). He estimated that this will be a whole day project, he and his crew were done by 3pm. Completed job was flawless and very professionally done. used the system already for two weeks and it exceeds my expectations.
In a few words: Carlos is an amazing at what he does and he does not overcharge you. I recommend his services to all of my friends and family.

Called DLC construction and spoke to Carlos on a Friday night, after calling several places as I needed a water softener installed. He instantly FaceTimed me and saw the location I needed the install and brainstormed on the best way to add a drain line. He gave me a reasonable price on the install. He was able to make it out the very next day. Showed up on time and did a very neat and thorough job. I would recommend Carlos for any water softener job , as he is very knowledgeable and detail oriented.

This is an objective review of Fina Water Systems & DLC. Disclosure: I am not in any way related to Carlos, or his company, nor was I asked to write a review.

I think Carlos' stellar service & product knowledge should be considered by anyone considering a water softening system.

After looking at commercially available systems, such as Kinetico, Pelican, Culligan, etc., there was still something missing. I wanted to find a small business owner who is knowledgable about the subject matter someone who is honest, has fair prices, and uses an industry standard valve such as clack or fleck. Fyi...I am a chemist, and can quickly judge an individual's skill level about water chemistry.

As soon as I texted him, he responded within minutes. After a free initial consultation, I had no doubt that I had found the right person/company to do the work. About a week after the initial visit, Carols arrived on time with all the necessary tanks, valve, reverse osmosis unit, etc. and completed the job in about 3 hours. His work is clean, meticulous and worthy of a 5 star review, and a strong recommendation.

If you are considering a water softener for your home, I have done all the research for you. Simply call Carlos!

Carlos was great over the phone and explained his custom setup. It's 5 filters and tank. He arrived on time and was very friendly and easy to understand as he explained his process before and after. He even drilled an additional hole for my soap dispenser. He did a very clean job and I'm very happy with his work. We live in the chino area and he tested our water from 322 hardness. The RO system installed took it down to about 43 immediately at install. I was instructed to let it drain for 12 more hours. He is very transparent with his process and despite his low review count I felt more comfortable with him when I talked to him in person. Job started at 10amish finished around 1145ish. Highly recommended.

Of all the places I called to install a water softener, Carlos was the only one who quoted a fair market price that required no negotiating. He is very knowledgeable in equipment and plumbing so our quick phone conversation led to a scheduled appointment right away. Once he arrived for the installation, he did a thorough walk-through and knew exactly what needed to be done. The whole process took under 2 hours. And most importantly, when the water was tested, the results showed no hardness.
