Zero star. Stay away from Nelson !
I called Nelson Figueroa for a very small water leakage in my front yard so he comes to give me an estimate and tells me how much does it cost to fix it.
It was right in the front and he could just see it without touching anything.
He came while I was not home and he called me and gave me an initial estimate and he said I need to pay him $85 because he came to give me an estimate !!
$85 just because he looked at the ground to see that it is wet !
He never told me initially that I need to pay for the estimate.
I told him OK when I get home I need to talk to the neighbor and I let you know when you can come to fix it because the leakage is in front of his house too.
When I got home, I saw the water was shut off !! I called him and asked him why did you shut off the water from the meter? He said because you did not give me $85 !!
Stay away from this guy !
Very unprofessional and totally illegal activity to shut off someone's water because he did not pay him over the phone right away for an estimate which was supposed to be free !

$125 to light the pilot on the hot water heater. It took all of 2 minutes and he said he was in the area already. Seems pricey...

If I could give them Zero Stars, I would. It took them 9 hours to replace 1' of pipe in my bathroom wall and the cover up job was garbage! They left a HUGE mess in my bathroom, and i found tools and sponges in my toilet when I went to test it out. Then while I'm at work the next day, they knock on my door and tell my wife that they don't want me using my water for 2 hours and that they need to test something. THEY HAD NO APPOINTMENT!! This is rediculious.

Nelson gave me the best price in October 2016 for an installation of a new water heater. When the pilot assembly needed replacing in Sept. 2017 he replaced and repaired the issue without a charge. Excellent service!

Nelson was the only one, after three plumbers, who could figure out what was wrong with my toilet tank. He fixed it quickly and was extremely reasonable. He is my go to plumber now and is always available.

I had to run a gas line for a fire pit. I got a quote, it was not the cheapest but I wanted it done correctly. However although the guys building the fire pit said they talked to him about everything, he ran the line and installed an extra turn off value in spot that was going to be covered with brick??? Next the fire pit guys said it was all set to be connected but when he came back, this was now an extra charge to connect to the fire pit. I was surprised as I told him I needed the line run and connected in the beginning and now it's two charges??? I felt that should have been communicated up front. I felt I was being taken advantage of.

I have used Figueroa Plumbing for my commercial restaurant, La Tapatia Mexican Rsts for our plumbing and sewer issues. They have always completed the task at hand professionally, on time and always at a reasonable price. PG&E came out after we smelled gas and then turned off our gas. Today Figueroa replaced my leaking water heater and found and fixed gas leaks found throughout my house after PG&E noted one under my stove in the kitchen. They did a pressure test and to my surprise showed me numerous other connections that were leaking that I was unaware. They showed me the pressure gauge before and after and when they left the pressure was stable and we again had no gas smell/leaks and great hot water pressure from our new water heater.
I would highly recommend Figueroa plumbing.

I had a main water leak in my front yard and needed to replace the entire pipe from PVC to Copper... I called Nelson, he was at my house within an hour and fixed it that day! I am so grateful and appreciative to Nelson and his crew. They did a great job and within a short amount of time. His prices were very reasonable considering how big the job was. I would highly recommend Figueroa Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber!

Jeff told me he could get the job done for $800. He wanted to make sure I understood everything that was involved and the cost would only be $800. He went on to say he doesn't like taking his car into the shop and then have them say it is a different amount which is exactly what he did to me! I agreed to the $800 and that he would keep me updated throughout the project and if anything changes. Throughout the project he never called me to say that he was going to charge me almost 70% more for a PVC pipe. I have never heard of a small piece of PVC pipe costing $550. I asked him to please give me a breakdown on the extra items he used that is now costing me $550 more. He said he couldn't. That I would have to talk to his boss Nelson. Nelson said all these other excuses it could be, but everything Nelson said, Jeff assured me was included in the $800. Don't use them! They will say one thing and then charge you another!

It was time for a new Water Heater. Of course it was a weekend, but not to fear, Figueroa Plumbing answered the phone and installed it the same day. Nelson and his assistant did a beautiful job. I know, we don't think of plumbing as beautiful, but their work is done with pride of workmanship. I highly recommend this company.
