Showed to rental property unannounced without an appointment, and trespassed the property without my authorization and terrified tenants. I never requested an estimate, I never scheduled an appointment, and Fernando still showed up to my property without letting me know beforehand and my approval. He trespassed the property by doing this, took pictures of my property without my consent, and terrified my tenants. I never agreed for him to show up to my property unannounced.

I highly recommend Fernando Landscaping. I needed a new stone garden bed for the front of my home. Many of my neighbors have hired Fernando Landscaping in the past, and they were all very happy with the work done. I could see how beautiful the stone garden bed Fernando did for my neighbor, so I hired his company to do the same for me. They got rid of the old stone garden bed and installed a new one. I like their artistic craftsmanship and attention to detail: they did custom stone cutting to make the garden bed geometrically precise and fit together very well. It is really beautiful! It looks very balanced and professionally done. The price was fair and reasonable. I am 100% satisfied! Additionally, I also hired Fernando to power wash and apply deck stain/sealant to my two-level deck. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Again, the price was fair and reasonable, and I am 100% satisfied! I will hire them again.

I've been living in the NOVA area for 3 years now, and I find that many companies in this area give me the ""Alexandria price"".
I recently asked my neighbors through the Nextdoor app for a recommendation for Landscaping.
Several people gave me their recommendations, and I ended up getting quotes from three companies, one of which was Fernando Landscaping. HIs quote was very reasonable compared to the others, and the main exception was that he asked me to buy the flowers, instead of selling me his at his own prices. After going to the Home Depot and spending just about $200, I contacted Fernando and he and his crew came over for the install, cleanup, and sod work. After just a few hours, the change was simply amazing. Very professional and timely, I will be using his services again!

After soliciting multiple estimates Fernando was one of the first to respond to my request. He came by and I explained my concerns and what I wanted done. After accepting, his crew came out in a matter of days to begin work. It took them a weekend to remove 4 trees and fix some drainage issues. Throughout the process he was very responsive through phone and text. At the conclusion of the project he came by to see if I was satisfied with the work. He did not accept payment until the project was finished and after we met to see if I was satisfied. His prices were very competitive with other tree removal companies in the area. I will be using them for other landscaping needs.

In Fall of 2018,, the job was to remove leaves and mow lawn from 2 houses. I happen to watch the crew do the work. They did ok job removing leaves from front and back yard but however the crew never mowed the lawn as quoted. The Owner was not there and I made him aware of this and should not be charge for a service that was not done. He said he will ask his crew and would come over to look at the yard himself. He asked his crew and they told him yes, but never came over the houses to investigate it personally at the houses. I've been battling this $50 over charge for months. The Owner is calling me a liar, hence I personally witness something that was not done. If that service was not done, why should a customer pay for it. According to this business owner, I am a liar and his philosophy of ""the customer is always right"" obliviously does not exist. I will pay him the $50 because I am the honest person and based on my integrity. BUT WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Being called a Liar from a business owner who did not fully investigate the situation hurts. MR FERNANDO, Your Crew Lied To You because they were TOO LAZY TO MOW THE LAWN, and you still overcharged me $50. We are talking about $50, and you just lost a good and honest person and customer because this is the way you choose to run your business.

Fernando communicates well over text, however his crew demolished the custom flowers around the house, failed to arrive on schedule-several days early or late, and broke into back yard (when no one was home)in effort to complete the job.

If your looking for consistency -look elsewhere.

Update: whole thing is a scam, you will receive fictitious invoices for services not completed. Complete bogus bills for false ""alleged lawn mows"".

I recently became a client of Fernando Landscaping, therefore 4 stars, not 5 stars. This company is reliable, reasonably priced, and so far I'm a satisfied customer. Will update this review as more services are provided.

Costs and quality were not consistent. Applied weed killer around the property to decrease edging and trimming time. Did not ask if I wanted this and then charged me for it. It did not look presentable.

I normally tackle most lawn work myself, but over the past couple of weeks I just didn't have time to get everything done before the Thanksgiving holiday so I needed a lawn service to come in and handle leaf removal and lawn mowing fast. After checking with several reputable companies in my area, I found that almost all of them were booked solid for mowing and/or leaf removal services through the end of 2015. I happened across Fernando Landscaping, which turned out to be a great experience. When you contact this company the owner himself picks up the phone (I'm assuming the same is true for email although I didn't contact him that way) and he is friendly, courteous and straight-to-the-point. I called late in the afternoon on a Monday and Fernando was able to come to my house very early the next morning to give me a quote on leaf removal and lawn mowing services (as soon as you set up an appointment for a quote he'll text you right away with confirmation of the appointment details which I really liked). I had what I believed to be a reasonable price in mind for the required services and Fernando's quoted price was within $20 right off-the-bat. The whole negotiation took less than 10 minutes and within minutes after leaving, Fernando sent me a text confirming the price that we agreed upon verbally (just as he did with the quote appointment details). There was only one slight hitch to the whole process; his team showed up and did an outstanding job with the leaf removal well in advance of the deadline we agreed to, but there was apparently a miscommunication and they neglected to mow the lawn. This was no big deal at all, as it was still days before the date I requested the services to be completed. I called Fernando right away to let him know and the problem was solved immediately - he informed his team who showed up early the next morning and wrapped up everything very quickly. They did an unbelievable job and my lawn looks absolutely amazing. Everyone in the company was extremely friendly and completely professional. Although I don't normally pay for lawn services, after seeing how everything turned out I'm seriously considering using this company regularly in the future. I highly recommend this business to anyone seeking lawn care at a reasonable price and/or under a tight time frame.
