Seriously, do yourself a favor and call Kevin first.

For the last 3 years, we have had the misfortune of living in a condo association plagued by mismanagement, deferred maintenance and poorly designed plumbing. I might write a novel about the endless headaches and un-filed law suits involved in this place just to heal from the pain- however- the one good thing to come of this nightmare is the fact that I can unreservedly highly recommend Kevin Scott to you for probably anything you need.
We're moving to Oregon next month (Bye, Felicia!) and the only thing we'll miss about this place is Kevin. (and some nice neighbors)

Why? Read on:

1) He is on top of his game:

i) He knows the structures he works on and remembers everything.
ii) He is an incredible communicator- gets RIGHT back to you, even for small things.
iii) He is tech savvy and produces great detailed invoices that you can pay online or in-person within short order of work completed.

True story: As the new president of the HOA of this cesspool, I got NO records of any kind. 6 months in, Kevin called me directly to let me know that we were due for annual clean out service and should have it done since our building had a history of blockages. No, I didn't' know that. Thanks, Kevin.
ii) We had a sink filling up with dirty water in the bathroom on a Sat. night. The management company never called me back. (Diversified Management in Tustin- avoid them like the plague).
Kevin responded within 10 minutes and had someone out the next day- on a Sunday. And didn't bankrupt us for it.


2) He's a really decent guy:
i) He serviced this building for 20 years until our management company dissed him so seriously he refused to come any longer. (Like, they didn't pay him for 6 months and were really unprofessional about it- blamed him for their mistakes- see above). Despite that, he has remained available to residents who call him, like me, with all manner of questions and requests. He always responds immediately, even if he's not getting a paid job!
ii) He gives excellent advice about all manner of issues, from plumbing to construction- like telling you NOT to do work you don't need!

3) He's an honest guy and incredibly reasonably priced:
He charges less than the terrible crooks that the management company sends over and does far superior work.

The only downside to Kevin is that he'd got a really big new truck, so find him some parking if you want him to come over!
