Called and arranged for Tony come over for an estimate. He never called or showed. I called to follow-up and he said he got hung up and had my wrong number... OK... I went with it. Then, when arranging for setting up a new time and he learned I was getting another estimate, he said his famous catch line ""Forget about me"" and just hung up. Thanks for having me get off work early to meet you today and then not showing up Tony. I will ""Forget about you""!
Follow-up: The day after the above happened, Tony called and left a message saying he was running late and wouldn't be at the house???? Obviously he didn't remember me from the previous day. We for sure didn't have anything arranged... and very interesting as to how he now somehow had my correct number (????). I tried to forget about Tony but he just kept coming back! ;-) Bottom line.. I used Richard Grodecki - who just finished the work today - and Richard was awesome (check out my review on Richard).

I called Tony after finding Fazule & Sons here on Yelp. He was here when he said he would be, fixed my toilet and unclogged my bathtub and cleaned up his mess. Being new to Oakland, he gave me some great advice about the area. My mom was visiting from out of state and he was extremely nice to her, which goes to show what kind of guy Tony is. Great plumber. Great guy. I am a picky person and have high expectations. I would absolutely trust him alone in my home and I will definitely use him again.

I had a sink that was plumbed, I'm guessing, by drunken monkeys. Of course it was leaking. I called Tony and a day later he came over, earlier than he told me he would arrive, with his helper, ""Hell"", and he fixed it up while telling funny stories.
I've had a little work done by Docs plumbing in the past, and Tony is by far a better choice. He obviously has years of experience. His prices aren't cheap or expensive, but fair for quality work done in a timely manner. It's especially refreshing to find a true East Coast personality in this flakey ass Bay Area. Tony could've been on Sopranos.

Tony Fazule is an extremely responsive plumber. I have used him twice now in the last two months. He has replaced a sump pump for me along with getting a draim to flow, installing a couple of faucets and fixing a leaking drain pipe under a sink. His latest miracle was the emergency replacement of a water heater.
I was out of town and our water heater went out. My wife called Tony and left a message. In the mean time she called a couple of water heater listing in the Yellow Pages (she doesn't use Yelp). Tony called her back in 30 minutes and beat the price of the two water heater listings by several hundred dollars and a 10 gallon larger water heater.
He was great and very timely in getting the new water heater installed. But best of all, Tony is a great guy. He is sort of a cross between one of the Mario Brothers and Superman. Ask him about his experience at Burning Man last summer.

I took the recommendation for Tony from this site. He called me back immediately and when he got to our home to fix my bathroom sink (we were using the kitchen sink for everything!) he fixed it quickly and made the experience enjoyable with his generous personality. He is personable and knowledge and hella hillarious. Best plumbing experience I ever had. Need a plumber? Call Tony.

I had an appnt with Tony after a job he had in SF. He called at appnt time to let me know it wasnt happenin'- didnt like that. But we rescheduled for a day later- first thing in the am. He's got tons of personality, he knows what hes doing, but he doesnt always ask you what you'd like- he just does it. For example I had a plastic p-trap(I think thats what it is) under my bathroom sink. He needed to get the snake down there and free up the drain. He did that but then changed out the p-trap to metal because he doesnt like plastic pipes. That was $45 plus his time and I wasnt asked. Nothing was wrong with the part.
I also dont like when the cell phone goes off and it is answered or calls are placed that last a while- there were about 5 calls that Tony took that lasted about 35 minutes in total. One included his dentist. I had somewhere to be and I needed the job done. I know he said he would lock up the house if I needed to go but no matter how nice you are if I dont know you I aint leaving, sorry Tony.
Bill-time came and I was a little taken aback- think I was paying $100 too much but he tried to let me know that his price was fair and that his employees, who are artists, are thankful that I am supporting their lifestyle. Was I credited for his talk time?? Dont think so.
Having said all this unpleasant stuff I would call him again and would refer him to my friends. LIke I said he is funny as all heck and knows what he is doing even if he isnt all that on customer courtesies.Hey, he's from NY, forget about it!

After clogging my pipes with shredded potato peels (apparently these are not compatible with in-sink garbage disposal units, who knew?) I called these guys. Tony and an assistant were there within a few hours, unclogged the hell out of my pipes and were on their way as quickly as they arrived - and it cost less than I expected. Huh. Awesome! And sealing the deal of complete awesome is Tony himself, everything I've ever wanted my plumber to be: a big friendly dude with an east coast accent telling me what stays out of the disposal.

As a small time landlord (one single family house) I usually dread having to hire professionals. So I do as much as I can myself. But when the water heater fails, ya gotta bite the bullet and call someone.
So I called Fazule, Pipeline and Lunt Marymore, all reviewed here on Yelp. I liked Tony's attitude, very straight forward, friendly, and told me the price difference between a 30 gal. like I had and a 40 gal. was so small he'd charge me the same for a 40 gal. Pipeline didn't want to give me a fixed price, quoted me the tank and an hourly rate. Based on estimated time, the prices were close (LM was off the chart; see review for details), so I went with Fazule.
They arrived EARLY. No statutory four hour window, much less the ""so sue me"" attitude when they come two hours after that like so many service ""professionals."" Tony said ""noon"" and my tenants said they arrived around 11:30. Tony said he would have been happy to just wait around, but the tenant let him in so why not get started. (Can we clone this guy?)
Less than two hours later, we're running the faucets, the water's heating, and Tony and his guy are pulling away, leaving a nice new efficient water heater, and upgraded water lines, gas line and earthquake straps all included in the quoted (very fair) price.
No more doing it my self for plumbing for me. As they say back east, ""I gotta guy . . .""

Tony is great... the accent is great, the work is good. He came over and gave me an accurate quote when he said he would and the quote was accurate.
I'm more of a do-it-yourself-er but the job was more than I had time to deal with and my co-worker highly recommended him. So I made the call.
Never been so excited to have all copper water pipes and turn off valves. :)

Tony and Checkers did a great job on my place. There were a few minor leaks I discovered a few days later, and they came back right away to fix it. Tony is a great guy and did a super job. :)
