My heat pump broke so they two guys came out and sprayed water on the unit for 20 minutes and then after about 10 minutes of diagnosis determined that I needed to replace the entire unit. I called another company for a second opinion and they replaced a part that cost $160 and then told me that it was part of a recall with Trane - so the entire visit was free! Saved me aboutn $5000. Better think twice before using Fayette

For a locally owned business, they definitely don't take care of other locally owned businesses... I fell to their ploy of buying into the yearly service club, that supposedly bumps you to the top of the list when there are issues, but still waited days for service. Then it never failed that a week or two after my quarterly services paid via the club, my heat or ac would go out and I'd have to pay $120 per hour from dispatch (such a joke) for them to come and fix something that should have been fixed during my quarterly services. Multiple times they arrived after store hours and charged me for coming, when they were explicitly told we weren't open after 5:30. And to be charged from time of dispatch when you have no idea that they might be coming from another city, is just robbery! I was charged one full hour just in drive time... Such a disappointing company.... Look elsewhere-you deserve better service than they provide!

I'd give this place a minus 1 if I could. All the charity work done sadly means nothing when in my opinion when regular business practices are shameful. Highly disappointed in promises made and broken. If a company cant keep its word, is it a company you want to be involved with? Pick whom you want to pick for your needs but I'm not going to recommend them to anyone I know.

One of our units had gone out, of course during the hottest day of the year. I called, and after waiting for quite a while, was told by Ricardo that they were so busy, they could not get someone out to my house for weeks unless I joined their Comfy Club at $9.99 per unit per month. It ""bumped"" me to the front of the line. I told them I would go somewhere else. Crazy!

I am not one to normally write reviews but this is such a frustrating company to try to work with I feel I need to warn other potential customers of their lack of customer service.
In December of 2014 I contacted Fayette Heating and Air to request a quote on a ProSeries water softening system. They took my info and said they would have a tech get in touch with me. Weeks go by and I let it go because it the Christmas season and folks are focused on family. Just after new years I call back and get the same response. I explain the lack of follow up, get an apology and an promised that the lead tech will call within the next 24hrs. A week goes by and at this point I am getting frustrated. I call back and speak with the receptionist who again tells me a tech will call and I explain the lack of follow through and ask if I could please talk to someone in the office so I can get a ball park idea of what a water softening system will cost. The inside staff states that a tech has to visit the property (a property I do not own yet) to give a quote. I share that is not an option since I have not purchased the property yet. I just need an idea of the cost to swap one unit for another. I provide all the part numbers from the manufacture because I worked with them to select the system I want. I explain to Fayette that If it is a hassle to quote an installation without seeing the property I could do the work myself or get a price on installation when I buy it. Since I have never bought a high end resin system I was not sure if I needed to budget $1000 or $5000. The salesman explained that they can't provide a price breakdown. Wait what? Who buys a piece of equipment ie a furnace, hotwater heater or water softener and does not know how much labor/materials are vrs the unit itself? I ended up talking to the operations manager who could not give me a price but promised me he would have an answer for me that afternoon or the next day......you guessed it I am still waiting. How hard is it to pull a few old work orders and let your customer know a non binding estimate could range from $xxxx - $xxxx but an official quote would require seeing the property after it is purchased. It's a shame that they are the only distributor for the water softening system I wanted to buy because they lost ProSeries a very nice sale.

Scheduled appointment to have our units looked at before winter. Cancelled twice and getting ready to cancel again until we insisted.

Ordered a new unit a month ago. They kept telling us it hadn't been shipped yet, was suppose to ship in one week. We went with Fayette Heating because of name recognition.

Absolutely horrible service. We've cancelled our new unit order. Now, we'll see how long it takes for them to give us our money back.

The communication between employees at this company gets a fat goose egg. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I called to get help on my failing furnance and I couldn't even get a estimate of how much it would cost to replace it a week after contacting this company. I had been a customer for years and its sad how the service has went down the tubes. Don't get me wrong, everyone was very nice that I spoke with both over the phone and in person. However, that is not going to get a furnace installed. It just makes you feel like your getting ripped off or that your being pushed to the side because your just another number. Thankfully, I contacted another company who had me taken care of within 48 hours of my intial contact. Fayette Heating and Air gets 2 fat thumbs down and has permanently lost my business. Do your research before contacting them to complete important HVAC repairs.

I use FH&A solely because the installed the system in my house, if not for that I would not use them.
Firstly, paying $89 for a tech to even show up is ridiculous. This price is on top of any work they do.
I once called, as a member of the 'Comfy Club', and was told there was over a week's wait. A WEEK when temps were in the 90s.
The system and my home are only 4 years old and already had to have two parts replaced (miraculously neither covered by warranty) and the duct work is awful; I have to use a hammer and butter knife to change out my airfilters because the housings are so badly warped and ill cut.

The only good thing I have to say is the techs are always wonderful; friendly and professional in demeaner and looks.

Just saw their commercial on TV stating no overtime charges and guaranteed lower prices... That is a crock!!! I recently had a problem with my HVAC and called them to come and check it out after hours. The price they quoted me was almost double what other companies were charging to come outside of normal business hours. I wound up having Stivers HVAC come and check it out during the day and it was a very simple problem. They charged me less than $50! After that experience, Fayette Heating and Air will never get any of my or my family's business!!!
