David S.Beware of this company! They lie and make you buy a new AC system when you don't need it. Not only that, they take advantage of elderly people to steal from them and confuse them. Their quality is horrible!!!! You get no value whatsoever from their monthly service fee.
Unfortunately, have had a frustrating and overall disappointing experience with Fayette Heating and Air. We have a boiler/holding tank set up which is difficult to find anyone to work on, our tank began leaking and this was the quickest place we could find someone licensed to work on our system.
Plumbing came out the next day, said we needed a new tank, ours had been 10 years old. We ordered a tank, scheduled installation. My husband mentioned that we needed a boiler tech to be at installation, because we've run into this issue in the past, which was not arranged by the plumber that came out. After a week with no hot water, the new tank was installed, the plumbers wired the tank, ARC's the fuse, sent an electrician later on in the evening, the electrician basically said we were out of luck, so after about a week without water, couple thousands dollars in, still have no hot water.
The tech couldn't make it out until Monday. Monday comes around, the boiler tech, John said that the plumbers wired the tank incorrectly to the boiler, causing the ARC.
He unfortunately had to come back Tuesday to fix the problem. We had hot water, all was well after this but his fear was that the switch on the brand new tank would be damaged from the plumbers continually trying to incorrectly wire the tank to the boiler.
Which did wind up occurring a few days later, requiring us to call again, which required yet another visit. Thankfully, John was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and ordered the part. Which he said would be there the next day, but was not delivered and installed until 4 days later. Which put our boiler pump at risk because if we wanted hot water, it needed to continue to run, but without the proper switch, it would not turn off in between heating water.
The only positive thing out of this experience was John Howard, the boiler technician. He was wonderful and very knowledgeable about our boiler system. He will be the only person we request moving forward for our home. In the numerous calls we made, no one was helpful in the office. We got the run around no matter what time of day we called. We spoke to a supervisor at one point that said they'd call us back and never did. Very disappointed and frustrating two weeks but thankful to know who we need to come out next time to avoid at least some of the nonsense we dealt with.
They installed my system 5 years ago. 8K. and messed it up, didn't fit, had to bring a new unit because they didn't use a yardstick first. Larry, Curly, Moe staff. Total cluster. Then inspector rejected the laughably bad ductwork. Had 10 year parts warranty on EVERYTHING in writing, and even clarified on invoice that it included furnace, AC, AND thermostat.
Today they denied warranty for thermostat parts, and would only provide a lump sum price, no breakdwown of parts and labor. They wanted $630 for a thermostat ($50 at lowes), $300 for a 50 cent low volt fuse, and$100 trip fee for a total of $1030. The tech says ""I have no control over pricing"" but offered to throw in the fuse, even though he has ""no control"". A convenient excuse. Absolute crooks. Have another company scheduled now. I would do myself but expect Fayette screwed with the system in case I didn't accept their shakedown. I feel so slimy from the experience I have to take a second shower of the day and it's not even Noon.

Company will charge you $100 to not fix the problem, they can give you a maybe fix. We bought an entire new unit and it is having heating issues. I was told to sign up for comfy club for $12 a month to get a discount on the installation (false) and servicing that would be scheduled twice a year. Never got a call for a first appointment and noticed I was Being charged $20 a month. I called To cancel and the woman said she would have the manager call me for my refund. Never heard back. A technician told me customer service is great and to call again about it, when I asked After being called to make another appointment randomly to maybe rediagnose the problem, I was told they don't do refunds and if I dont Use the service that's my fault. Which contradicts what I was Told. Not happy with how customer service treat their ""customers"". No complaints about the techs that work their butts off but the guys not doing the grunt work are jerks and will sell stuff to you just to make a buck.
I agreed with them that they would check my furnace and fix what needed fixing. They did, and I signed up for regular checks. Short time later they showed up to do a check and found a bunch of stuff that needed fixing. They had just fixed it and I had no problems. I think they just wanted to drum up income. If all that stuff was wrong they would have seen it when they came the first time. So my trust level is very low with this company.
This company offers you 'DISCOUNTS' for joining their 'CLUB' and then charge you nearly THREE TIMES what other companies would charge you for the exact same parts and refrigerant. Now I am on the hook for an entire YEAR to pay for this CLUB MEMBERSHIP and I won't even let them through the door. They get no stars and should be investigated for this piracy! I get texts and phone calls every day to schedule my system check ups. How likely am I to allow that?? NOT VERY!!! I am required to add a star with this review but they don't DESERVE A STAR!
Brandon S.Had a checkup on home HVAC by Trey Brady. Very professional, very communicative, knowledgeable, and explained everything as he was working on it. Hope I wasn't yapping his ear off too much but he was very friendly and was good conversation also. Hope to have my home unit always inspected by him and very grateful for everything!!! Thank you!!!
A technician came out to inspect our unit for the fall. He told us we needed to get our ducts cleaned because they were so bad that they could catch fire. He also said we needed some other part on our compressor which was expensive. The funny thing is we had our ducts cleaned by Fayette Heating and Air 11 months ago. Either way I think we are done with this company. Either the technician was lying about our ducts being that bad or they didn't clean them last year. Cant do business with someone you can't trust.
