I scheduled an appointment on my only day off to repair my tankless water heater and gave them my address and phone number. They sent a confirmation via email. I waited the allotted time they were to come and no one showed up. I called and they said they had tried to call me several times. However, it was a number not even close to mine. Then they tried to tell me they didn't. They said they couldn't fit me in the day I was off. I had no hot water. I will not use them in the future for any reason. They have people scheduling that are incompetent.

We signed up with Fayette several years ago for HVAC maintenance. Two years ago, they sold us a new system. Since it was installed, it has never properly cooled our condo (the old system worked far better). We repeatedly asked them to check it and were given quotes for various things to help - all of them pretty much over $1k each. One issue was the duct work in the HVAC closet that was taped down but kept coming loose. The HVAC closet in the garage was cooler than the rest of the house because the duct work wasn't properly secured. They would come out and tape it down again but it never stayed. Over the two years, they came out multiple times but never came close to fixing the problem. We finally got another company to inspect it and determined it was 3 lbs. low on refrigerant and the back of the duct work had completely separated from the pipes (though Fayette had just checked our system twice in 3 months - plus it was a brand new $10k system!). We also learned that the unit was not to code and with a pipe too close to the duct work, it was a fire hazard. We've now switched to the other company and immediately added the refrigerant. Amazingly, the unit works better than ever. Why Fayette couldn't diagnose that problem in two years is a mystery. We'll now pay the new company to fix the fire hazard as well. Every time I spoke to them about our issues, Fayette would say they'd make things right. In two years they never actually did that. You can say it all you want, but actions speak louder than words. Trust is a big thing and Fayette has lost our trust completely.

Warning for anyone thinking about using Fayette Heating & Air.

After installing 2 new air conditioning units ($15 K) to my home 3 years ago, one of the compressors went out. Although the parts are covered under warranty, they still charged me $2,205.00 for labor. Keep in mind, that these units were highly recommended by the company, telling me that I should get at least 20 years out of these before needing attention.

This labor took only 2 hours and 10 minutes. When I called the company to question this extreme high rate, I was told I needed to talk to Alex, the ""quality-control supervisor,"" about this rate, he had the nerve to tell me that $2,205.00 is the benefit of their ""fixed price policy.""

As I discovered while writing this review, this company has terrible reviews. Shame on me for not paying attention to them. Don't make the same mistake that I made. No not use Fayette Heating & Air.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This company is all about getting their $99.00 for the estimate, selling you an annual service fee and then quoting exuberant prices. Not really sure if they really care about doing the actual plumbing work.

Recently gave me an estimate for a job of $500. Learned later after from another plumber that what they wanted to do was actually not correct AND should have cost no more than $250.

Had I used Fayette Heating / H20 Mastero, I would have paid $600 for a job done incorrectly.

At least the 99.00 I paid kept me from damaging my house further.

There are a lot of reputable plumbers in Lexington. Suggest you look elsewhere.

We weren't needing a new AC system at our place and they basically lied to us to get us to buy a new one. Then, they put the outside unit in the wrong spot and ghosted the appointment to move it. No calls back and giving different quotes on the same jobs. Very unprofessional and childish. Mis managed from top to bottom. A very frustrated customer who still has not had this issue resolved. They miss appointments COMPLETELY and want overpaid. Very, very unprofessional team.

Complete rip off. I needed the drain line unclogged on my AC unit. I have this done once a year. They told me they have a $100 service fee which I expected. Tech came out, spent 4 minutes evaluating the situation. He proceeds to show me a quote to fix the problem that is over $1700!! I told him I wasn't going to do it. He then snaps at me for wasting his time. So he then asked if I just want a quote to clear the drain pipe so I can turn the unit back on. I said yes that's all I really wanted anyway. He shows me another quote for over $400!! Ave cost for this service is $150. So I told him I wasn't doing that either and that his prices are ridiculous. After being in my house for about 8 minutes and realizing I wasn't going to pay his crazy price he then demanded I pay the $100 service fee. He left a mess in my attic, left the attic open, left the light on and insulation all over the floor. I called Donnie Row and he did the service for $140, cleaned up after himself, gave me a few tips on things I can do to help the situation and went around the house to inspect the units outside the house too. The game for Fayette Heating and cooling is to quote insanely high prices as fast as possible, see if you will pay it, if not, leave as fast as possible with the $100 guarantee. They made $100 off me in about 10 minutes so it was still worth it for them. Terrible company.

Fayette wanted to charge me $639 to add approx. 3lbs of refrigerent to my system. This is an incredibly simple service to perform and a 25lb tank of 410A can be purchased for under $300. They are taking advantage of people who don't understand how to perform this service by charging exorbitant prices. Aside from their prices, they were going to just add THREE lb and be on their way without even mentioning the potential of a leak or any option to locate, repair or mitigate the underlying issue. This may or may not be typical of HVAC service providers in the area, but it's a pretty pathetic standard of service. I typically use E&E Heating and Cooling but decided to try Fayette because they were able to be there sooner. I've decided to wait for E&E. Ed is far more reasonably priced and truly makes an honest effort to take care of his customers.

Extremely outrageous pricing. Charged $400 for a 5 minute fix to repair a wire on the air conditioning unit that they probably screwed up in the first place, considering they were the ones that installed it. When I called them out to unplug a drain a few months later, they offered a $70 bottle of Biosmart drain cleaner on top of a $300 service call. When I balked at the price, they offered a comfy club membership and said, ""try to keep it for at least 6 months or else they'll back charge you for the membership."" Tried to cancel after 6 months, they are completely hassling me. Will never use them again.

Trying to make a long story short here. A FH&A tech came to my house for a Comfy Club visit for a biannual check of our geothermal system. He states that the split package is almost empty of water and recommends adding water for a charge of $360.00 ($450.00 for non club members). I questioned the pricing for taking water out of my hot water heater with a small hose to transfer to my geo unit in the same room. (6 feet...no exaggeration) The tech then offered a $50.00 coupon which lowered the price to $310.00. I went ahead and signed to have the water added, as he said the unit could shut down without the addition of water. I figured I would call the manager of the company, thinking this had to be a mistake by a new tech. The tech topped off the water which added an extra 15 to 20 minutes to the Comfy Club visit. I called the FH&A manager, and he too quoted a flat rate of $360.00 to transfer water. He offered another $50.00 coupon but refused to mediate further. I have spoken with other companies since then and most don't charge for topping off your water, and one said they charge a fee of $50.00, depending on circumstances.
This was not my only bad experience with FH&A, but was the final straw. I have since
cancelled my Comfy Club membership and will be using another company for our heating and air, plumbing and electrical needs.

They came last fall, drained some Freon out o my unit align it was overfilled and talked me into joining the comfort club. Now they came out Monday because my A coil was freezing up. The Tech said I needed a new blower motor and a valve inside, at a very high price. Then told me my outside unit's capacitor was weak, and when it goes out it will cost me $299 . I've replaced that $15 part myself before in 5 minutes. That is what made me question things . A salesman came Tuesday to price a total new unit, very expensive, and I do not believe I need a new system. I called and they came back today (Wendnesday) , this time it was an hourly employee, who added Freon and now it's fine. They had evacuated Freon last fall so that the heat would work. If I keep using them , I only want hourly workers coming, not the ones on commission . It probably still isn't fixed totally. there is a valve in my outside unit that needs replaced. That is why they removed the Freon last fall...They just put a band aide on it for now to get me through the summer.... The tech that came Monday must not have even put gauges to test my unit out, or he would have noticed that it was low on Freon... Very disappointed , except for my last tech, who took the time to figure out the real problem.
