We called Fast Response Plumbing after another plumbing company (which I won't name here) didn't show up for a scheduled appointment to change out a gas control valve in our water heater. I called Fast Response in the afternoon, and Tim was able to come out the following day and take care of it for less than half the price we'd been quoted by the other company. I will be calling Fast Response first next time!

I called to get an idea of how much it would cost to replace a leaking fill valve on my toilet, and the staff gave me a range of $150-250, depending on the actual complexity. I wasn't sure if they'd deduct the cost of the part since I already had a replacement one on hand. They scheduled a technician to come out the next morning in a two-hour range. David arrived in the middle of that time range, and he told me that the replacement would cost $135, but because of how the toilet is designed, he'd have to take out the entire toilet, replace the fill valve, and then reseat and caulk the toilet (another $175). (This is why I didn't feel comfortable replacing the valve myself!) There was no cash discount, but they did have a $10 Yelp discount; so my total was $300. David was able to fix it up efficiently, and he took down my credit card information for payment. He left the work area clean, and although we could use the toilet right away, advised us to wait 1-2 days before mopping the floor around the toilet so that the fresh caulk could dry. I really appreciate David's professionalism and expertise.

Ed came to save the day!! We had a clogged shower drain that flooded our bathroom and bedroom. We called up Fast Response Plumbing & Rooter and didn't have high hopes of getting someone in quickly given that everyone in SF is doing work on their homes....but Ed came within 6 hours and fixed our drain within 10 minutes. Super friendly guy, also gave us advice on another matter.

Total cost: $175 -- worth every penny. Thanks so much, Ed!!

My tenant reported a leak under the kitchen sink so I called Fast Response to go take a look. They arrived at my unit the next morning as promised. The problem ended up being minor - the fittings just needed to be tightened. They fixed the problem and even tightened the bathroom fittings as well, which was not part of the original scope of work. They did all this and didn't even charge me!?!? I am not local so not being close by when something like this happens is a bit unnerving. Fast Response eased my concerns immediately and went above and beyond. I was not expecting the level of service I got - let alone not having to pay. I wouldn't expect the no charge part as norm but hey, I'll take it. I am beyond grateful for their generosity and even more for their professionalism and level of service. Highly recommend!

Had a bad plug with my toilet and these guys came really quickly and fixed the problem within 20 minutes. Highly recommend if you need a quick fix.

It doesn't look like they need yet another 5-star review, but since I received a 5-star service today, why not.

I had a busted P-Trap in my kitchen and a faucet with very slow (and worsening) water flow. I called at Monday noon and was told the first availability was Wednesday, but when I mentioned that I couldn't use my kitchen sink at all, they squeezed me in on Tuesday morning.

I wish I got the plumber's name - he was friendly and explained everything very thoroughly. I asked him about a couple other things in the bathroom and he answered everything and didn't try to replace something unnecessarily. As matter of fact, he offered to replace another part in my kitchen for free because he saw that it was a low quality part.

All in all, now I know why everyone raves about this place. Definitely calling them again for all my plumbing needs.

I can highly recommend fast response plumbing! After seeing all the great reviews I contacted them yesterday because my kitchen sink was backed up and not draining out. I told them if there's any way they could come after 3 PM today since that's when I get off work. The very nice woman I spoke to told me that there wasn't availability at that time but she would get back to me to see if she was able to rearrange any other jobs to accommodate me. She called me back about an hour later and told me that she was able to rearrange the time schedule and schedule me in!!
A gentleman by the name of David showed up a few minutes after 3 PM which was perfect. He was able to detect the problem with my sink pretty much right away and with 45 minutes he was able to repair and correct the problem. David was incredibly nice and very professional. His fee was very reasonable also.
I will definitely be using fast response in the future if need be and will recommend to friends.

I don't write a ton of yelp reviews, but I am writing one for these guys. I've actually used them twice in the last month. I'm a DIY-type person that tries to fix it on my own first, but I had a clog in a kitchen line that I couldn't resolve myself, then a bathroom sink line issue (between the wall and the stack). Each time, Tim came out and got it done. He patiently answered my questions as he worked efficiently and solved the issue. I recommend these guys without reservation, and ask for Tim if possible. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Tim from Fast Response Plumbing came to help us twice in the past eight days with a couple of unpleasant plumbing issues in our old Sunset District home. These were not emergencies, but they were able to schedule us quickly anyhow:

The first was cleaning out (mini-jet/hydrojetting?) our main lines under the basement, which seemed like they hadn't been cleaned since 1940, and were producing an unpleasant odor in the basement. Tim quickly diagnosed the problem, and came back with the mini jet to thoroughly clean it all out..Yuck and yay - life is better in the basement.

Then the following week he diagnosed and cleaned out our gummed-up shower drain/P trap. Again, yuck and yay - life is better upstairs now too.

Fast Response Plumbing pricing was fair; the woman on the phone was pleasant and professional with my questions and scheduling; and Tim was straightforward, efficient, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend FRP.
