Wanted to get my 15-year-old heat-pump checked out before the next blast of arctic air hits. Called their office over lunch and they gave me a window of 2-6 pm. Shortly thereafter I got a text saying a technician would arrive soon, one showed up at 2pm.

Matthew was very polite, personable and knowledgeable. He checked out my entire system, pronounced it in good working order, and also pointed out a few parts that might need replacing in the near future. He took pictures to document the state of various system components for future reference. For example, they'll clean the condenser and fan during the summer checkup.

I liked how he took time to let the outdoor unit stabilize completely before checking the pressures. Other repair people haven't bothered with that step. He was also very diligent in reassembling everything.

The prices to preemptively replace the parts that might go bad (a main relay and compressor start capacitor) were quite high, but the additional cost of a full-year service contract was only $100 more than the $89 service call, so this way I'm covered if anything fails.

Have used Fantes a few times for AC/Heater issues and recently had them here so I called them for an estimate for hot water copper pipe with pin hole leak in kitchen ceiling. They quoted near $1,000. Perhaps they thought I was in a pinch but I had similar issue 2 years earlier and paid less than half of their quote for much larger section to be replaced. The Fante plumbers that were here (2 younger guys) tried to upsell me even further up to $3,000 to add a device to my water heater and replace an additional section of pipe. Needless to say I used the same competitor plumber who has been in business for years for just under $400! I could not recommend for plumbing. their quotes are high and additionally they try to upsell for something completely unrelated.

I've used Fante's a few times now, and my experiences have varied a bit.
The first time I requested their service was to fix my heater. The technician got it back up and running in an acceptable amount of time, and I felt that the price was fair. Overall a good first impression.
The next time I needed plumbing services to fix a leak. Not only did they charge me a very large sum of money, but to make matters worse they did not properly fix the issue, as the leak returned two days later. They came back and fixed it several days later, but it should have been done properly the first time, especially since they charged me so much money.
I got an estimate from them for another job, and got another estimate from another company. The other company was significantly cheaper, so I went with them. I don't think I'll use Fante's again.

I was talked into buying a service plan when I had my heater serviced. I purchased it and called for the air conditioner tune up. Hannah told me that the only appointments for ""that service"" is the end of August....when summer is nearly over. The service plan was $252 and I got no service. When I complained they acted like they could not care less and they anticipated it. A man got on the phone and i started to explain that I needed the air conditioner tuned up and he said ""yeah you have a service plan, yeah and so"". I immediately knew I was scammed out of my money. They took my money and do not care. In my opinion they cannot be trusted.

Your company installed a plumbling system in my neighbors yard located in Willingboro, NJ. To gain acess to my neighbors backyard your workers had to come on my propery. Subsequenly they had to remove 44 of my edging stones which they DID NOT reinstall properly.I have stones and broken concrete in my grass and my edging stones are damaged one of them they even threw behind my hedges because apoparently it didnt fit. where they thought it should. Additionally they damaged 120SQ FT of my grass and left gapping holes in it.I had my landscaper come and look at the damages done to my property by your workers and the cost to repair is $1650.34.My expentation is that my property be fixed . BEWARE!! PRICE-GOUGHERS -- REPLACEMENT OF TWO OUTSIDE SPIGOTS

We had absolutely nothing but GREAT things to say about Fante's for over 20 years but UNFORTUNATELY NOT ANY MORE.
TWO OUTSIDE SPIGOTS!!
Required: 2 new Spigots, 1 foot of copper pipe, and about 2 hours of labor.
CHARGED $2200
We researched after the fact with other plumbing companies and they could not believe it.
We were told it was a flat rate. REALLY??
THE Good reputation that Fante's established for so many years is being ruined by the NEW OWNERS!!

Had my heating systems (2) inspections completed by Zach from Fante. After inspecting my units, Zach gave me a detailed report and recommendations to help keep my systems running well. Very pleased with the service and all work was completed quickly and just as Zach had described.

Plumber sent was verbally abusive and couldn't even figure out a simple plumbing issue. It took another plumber to show him what needed to be done. I wouldn't let these people change a washer on my garden hose.

Scheduled a plumber for toilet install wasted 4 hours waiting and they never called. I called them and put on hold only to be told they don't know where the plumber is. There are other higher rated so plumbers in the area would recommend using them.
