The furnace quit. I called Fanchers and they were prompt in coming out.
The furnace has codes on it so it's easy to zero in on most problems. I watched as the repairman kept repeating his testing on the electrodes ....... and finally came to conclusion it was a gas valve problem. Then he didn't have the part on the truck so he had to meet someone from the store halfway to get one.
I was charged for 2 hrs labor. I felt he was just wasting time. I feel very uneasy about calling them again and will find another service.
We'd always had great service when Ron was in charge.
Alex J.Fanchers replaced one of the pumps on my boiler in a home i recently purchased. After telling my husband he usually waits a few minutes to make sure things were okay he said 'but everything seems okay' and left. Shortly after he left it started leaking. Fanchers was very rude about coming back and the employee kept saying that the pipes were showing signs that it has been a on going problem and insisted it just had been leaking in the past and for some time, accusing us of 'missing the leak'... seemed almost as if it had been leaking before the home was purchased...almost as if the homeowners weren't honest on their disclosure...

Fancher appliance was called by my elderly dad to have an estimate for a new boiler.
The boiler was cracked and red flagged by NYSEG They shut the gas off in November which meant no hot water either. I told my dad to call Ron fancher which was friend of my dad. We also called 2 other heating companies for estimates Ron had retired and the son came out to measure for a new system and promptly gave my dad a price. He kept pushing my dad to proceed with several phone calls . The other estimates were lower by about $1500.
After the fourth phone call from fancher
My dad told him he was giving the job to someone else. This guy got pissed and told my dad he's charging him a service call .
Now I guess we're going to court !!!!
After sending out a man to check my hvac he determined it had to be replaced, he said his boss would call me in a day or two. Two weeks later still no call so I called him and the secretary said he wasn't in yet. He never called me back, so I called back again and after telling secretary he doesn't return calls she gives me a bunch of crap. Now I was looking to buy a new unit cost approxamitly 10,000 dollars so I told her to forget I even called, 10 minutes later I get a call from the salesman. I just told him nicely I would find another company. Fancher is very unprofessonal and rude to top it off, I took my money elsewhere.
Started off great but ended up being a giant waste of time. The ductwork in my house needs to be reworked. I called Fancher, told them what was going on and asked if they could give me a quote to rerun the ductwork correctly. The gentleman was able to come out within just a couple of days. He was professional and spent a decent amount of time hashing out with me what the possible options might be to do the ductwork. When was all said and done he said he would email me a formal quote the following week. I wait, and waited(understanding businesses can get busy), and waited. Finally today... a month later I called... put on a brief hold... then told he had a note to call me... to tell me they weren't interested in the job. Completely unprofessional how that was handled. Was really looking forward to finding my go to HVAC contractor in this area but it won't be Fancher.
Hired Fancher Appliance to service my split unit Air Cond unit. They sent an incompetent tech. In fact, the Tech was fired a week later based upon lying on the employment application. My AC unit does not work. I paid in excess of 300 dollars for the incompetent service tech. Contacted Fancher and did not receive a response. Pathetic customer service, Good luck if you decide to employ Fancher.
Everyone at Fanchers is so friendly and really helped me. They ordered a part for my water heater just in case they needed it so they wouldn't have to make another trip. And one time instead of taking a trip, they helped me solve a problem over the phone at no cost. True service!!
Had an issue with plumbing and a washer/dryer. They came out one day and realized it was going to be a full day job. While here, the repair person came across and issue and wasn't sure what to do so the owner came out and they found a resolution. Repair person was extremely pleasant and professional. He knows his stuff. Only giving it a 3 because I haven't gotten the bill yet so I can't say anything about cost but will update the stars when we get it. Thanks guys!
The most unreliable unethical business in or area. The workers arrive at your house for an evaluation of repair. Tell you what is needed leave and never return. Even you attempt to contact the office your told there isn't a work order for your home. Can you believe it. Unscrupulous. I hope many read this BEWARE.
Had Fancher heating come out to do just a furnace service to check clean and replace filter. The technician started measuring and i asked what he was doing. He said measuring for an estimate on a new furnace.. I told him i didn't request an estimate and he said the owner has them do estimates on all older furnaces ,hmmm. Technician never changed the filter for the furnace which is a hammock filter and runs the length of the lower compartment. The next time i turned on the furnace the gas kept turning off. Prior to service the furnace worked fine. Made a call for them to come back the following Tuesday which they did. at that time they told me the fan and limit switch was bad and the tech said he would replace it. I received a bill for 500.00 dollars two days later. They charged me 356.00 dollars for the switch. Tech never put the upper panel on the furnace and didn't replace the cover that goes over the switch. I found a screw in the burner pan and stripping from a wire. The entire experience was awful. I called around about the switch and was told a Honeywell switch would work and was approx. 75.00 dollars. I would not recommend this company for any service . Both techs seemed to be more interested in selling a new furnace than taking care of servicing the one i had. And neither one cleaned up their mess or finished the job.
