I needed a $38.00 reverse osmosis faucet install it took the plumber 30 mins to read the instructions an hour to install the faucet, and I was charged $375.00 dollars for the install. I called the office to get an explanation and I was told the owner would call me back the next day, 8 days later no call back.

Dino helped me out with assessing our issue with the water heater leak and replacement, and George was a great serviceman who came and provided excellent on site services. Love this company! We discovered a leaking hot water pipe arriving home late from vacation - they were at our door first thing the following morning! The fact that they answered the phone late at night and scheduled us right away was such a relief. We have used them repeatedly in the past and honestly - they're so affordable, easy to deal with, professional and personable that I never feel the need to call anyone else. They're accommodating and willing... just can't say enough good things about them considering it always seems to be an emergency when we call .

Our water heater blew up 1st thing in the morning. We called Family Plumbing and spoke to Dino. He was able to get us someone that afternoon when we got home from work to check out the problem and give us options and pricing. Omar was very detailed and professional. Omar returned the next day with Riley. They removed the old huge unit and replaced it with a water on demand within 6 hours. We could not have called anyone one better for the job. Dino, Omar, and Riley were the best. Highly recommend Family Plumbing to anyone. They are professional, knowledgeable, and the pricing was very reasonable!

Our kitchen sink had been clogged for a few days, another plumber was unable to fix it due to heavy grease. I called Family Plumbing based on a recommendation. Darrell came over, explained everything he was going to do, and answered all my questions. An hour or so later it was done, sink draining well again. Darrell was amazing!,

Since moving to Carlsbad ten years ago, I have only used Family Plumbing. I have never been disappointed with any of their contractors. A new HVAC contractor, ""Gee"" came out. My husband and I were without heat for 24 hours where the temperatures were in the 40s in mid-February.
Gee was diligent, professional, extremely thorough, and nothing less than I expected from Family Plumbing. Gee had to replace a part in our furnace. It was not the thermostat as originally thought by my husband and me. Gee would not leave until the temperature rose to 74° as requested. When the temperature reached 74°, we were so happy, but Gee was not satisfied. He said that he had to go under the house to check on the ducts. We never told him that something was wrong with the ducts. Since we never told him anything about them, we were curious what he would find. Ten minutes later, he showed us the ducts had separated underneath the house. He showed us photos from his cell phone and showed us pictures after he connected the two ducts together with duct tape. He said it was hotter underneath the house then inside the house itself. We were so thankful as more heat entered our home. He didn't have to go the extra mile. We would have been happy with the fixed furnace. We were concerned his labor for going underneath the house was going to cost us more. He could see the concern on.our faces and told us there would be no extra charge for going underneath the house to tape the two ducts together. Gee is the BEST! We're seniors. He treated us respectfully and explained why the furnace needed an extra part, went under the house without coveralls and made the heat in our house more efficient. In these days of company greed, it's good to find good and honest people.

Our toilet flooded on a Sunday night. Called a few places, but none were picking up until I reached Family Plumbing. They were the only ones that answered. The women who picked up kindly suggested to have me wait for the following morning to have a plumber come out to save some money. I agreed and she mentioned that I will have a plumber here between 8-9am. The following morning came by, I did not receive a call. I had to call them at 9 because no plumber was here yet. The woman on the phone said they will be here in a few minutes. An hour passed by and still waiting, I got a little frustrated so asked my husband to call them again. They finally showed up at 10, which honestly was a bit disappointing because I had my water shut off since the night before. I could of paid them the extra to have someone there that night honestly. Anyways, the plumber shows up and of course he only spoke Spanish. I had to call my husband to translate for me. It was a pretty stressful process to have my water clean out unclogged. The plumber mentioned that I had to upgrade my one clean out piping into two clean outs because he said it was rusted. Okay, how much is that? This dude seriously said $3,200.00. I completely understand that plumbers are always trying to upsell especially when they see old piping, but what irritates me the most he then changed his reasoning to ""your piping will continue to get clogged up because it was only a one clean out."" Sir, I thought you said it had to be replaced because it was rusted? Instantly I told him that I will wait for my husband to come home to decide if we wanted to upgrade our piping. On top of things, I didn't like how he was just walking into my home without advising me. I was in my kitchen trying to have a private conversation with my husband and this guy literally walks all the way inside to my kitchen! Instead of yelling out or telling my older son (who I had sitting in the living room) to call me. ANOTHER thing, when he was done unclogging my toilet he stood there scrolling through his pictures to try and show my the clean outs he was suggesting while HE can hear my baby crying, but he stood there not acknowledging it. This appointment was beyond stressful. I called an additional plumber company to get a second opinion and they told me it was unnecessary to upgrade at the time, but just recommended not to have a large amount of toilet paper put into the toilet. I then asked how much would he charge me to upgrade my clean out piping and he quoted a far less amount than Family plumbing. I hate to leave this review because I honestly thought it would be a better outcome, but I think it's best to have people aware of my stressful and uncomfortable experience.
