Was recommended to these folks by another company that does carpet cleaning and other home improvements. They specifically told me to ask for Darryl. I will say that it seems I can never find an honest and fair priced plumber. That said, I had hope. Unfortunately my hopes were dashed. I initially got estimates for replacing toilets and faucets in my home. Seemed every time I called I got a different quote. One time they said $98 per fixture, another time $135 for fixture. When I spoke with Darryl he quoted $98 for the faucets, and $125 for the toilets. I said ok, I can live with that. Oh yeah, valves (angle stops) $75 each. All was going well except every time he called while he was working at the house, more things needed to be done. OK , I'll trust Darryl... Then he tells me the regulator in front of the house needs to replace and tells me he will discount all the work because I am military and having so much work done. I said ok initially, then I go check the water pressure myself with my own gauge at the front of the house and the back of the house and it is normally 65 PSI. I call Darryl and leave him a message and say I don't want you to fix the regulator because it appears to be operating as it should be. He then calls me and tells me he's not going to warranty any of the work and also I change that regulator out and he is going to reduce the military discount so that I don't get one at all because I change my mind on the regulator which was quoted at $275 to replace. I thought this was ridiculous and obviously he was trying to sell me more than I needed in order to make another dollar. I called his boss and he said he will come out and do the things he agreed to do such as change out the drain plug one of the bathroom faucets and repair the dishwasher line which is what I originally hired him for as well. Then he gets there and tells me that it's going to be another hundred dollars to move the dishwasher away from the wall because it was an issue with the tile preventing it from being pulled out from under the counter. Another up charge! Every time I turned around he was trying to charge me money. I said skip it don't worry about it I've had it I will call somebody else. I called his boss and his boss agreed to only charge me the original amount we had read on without the regulator charges.

(This part is not so good) Our air conditioner has been working fine for almost 10 yrs, but we wanted to have it checked out to avoid large costs in the future. Ty showed up while i was at work. Got a call from my wife that Ty opened up the a/c unit, did a quick inspection, and then the unit would not start. Began to explain that a start up capacitor was needed and some other parts. I came home from work right away to speak with Ty and he could see I wasn't going to accept that. He told me he'd replace the part for free and I paid him for the service call. I returned to work and the unit was not running well. Just house fan, no a/c!! I contacted Family right away. Requested that they send someone else over.
(This part is awesome!!!) Matt Niven showed up rapidly. Came in the back, said don't worry, we'll see what is going on, and get it dialed in. It was clear he was not a salesman, but an actual solution. No B.S. just quick diagnostics, and discovered the starter capacitor was actually missing and never re-installed. He put one on in about 1 minute, and the unit fired up. Matt was a badass dude, a handshake and apology for our troubles and he took off. You better request this guy if you want your a/c properly serviced. Request MATT.

Darrell brown was absolutely awsome,I called two other plumbers they both could not figure out the issue, darrell was able to figure it out rt awy,I also got a same day appt,I called today to have my ac looked at and they will be here this afternoon.they are reliable kind and hard working people!!

Outstanding service! Ty is an amazing, kind and absolutely knows his line of work ! Ty made it out here in a moments notice. Very honest person !!!

Called and was scheduled for service within 2 hours.
I paid for the inspection and work performed which consisted of: inspection, pressure test, cleaning of filter and condenser unit.
Homeowner be careful. Their service guy (Ty) came out to my house for an A/C inspection. I was told that older units need a kick start installed, even though the unit does not have a problem starting. Immediately tried to tell me what the cost would be to replace the entire system. Attached the gauges and ""determined"" that my system would need $380 worth of freon. While he was ""working"" I called their office on a different phone line to get the details. Cost of service and 2 pounds of r22 was quoted at $275. He was visibly perturbed when I called him out on it. Just dishonest. On top of that the tech didn't replace all of the screws he removed to access my unit. (Pics attached). Had their competitor come out and did the same checks and added half a pound of R22. My system is old (installed in 1989) but is blowing colder air out of the vents.

Today I used Family Plumbing heating and air, for the second time. Last year when my hot water heater broke, they sent Elmer, and he was great, very professional and knowledgeable. Today, Sunday, Mother's Day, they sent Darrell, no extra charge for weekend. He came to fix the kitchen sink that had been clogged for months and finally broke and leaked all over the floor. I called last night and like always, a real person answered the phone, and said he'd be out first thing in the morning. He came out right on time and asked if I had an outdoor drain for the sink, something no other plumbers in the past ever asked. He broke away the stucco, removed the drain cover and snaked the drain more than 50 feet. He also repaired the pipes under the sink so they were tight. $175, including a 2 lb tub of Bio-Clean, that will eat away the grease and other nasty stuff that happens to go down the drain.
I would absolutely recommend Family Plumbing! It is hard to find plumbers that you can trust that won't try to up-sell you or take shortcuts, etc., I trust this company.

We have been using the company for years and they always get the job done. Today we had a problem with our hot water heater and Darryl was kind enough to talk my husband on the phone and take him through the steps to fix the problem. Darryl has been to our home numerous times and is always very professional and honest. We highly recommend this company. Thank you Darryl!!!

DO NOT USE this company! A complete joke! I called them originally when my hot water tank broke; at that time was told they would be at my house within 48 hours. 3 days later, they finally show up. Do a horrible install, to the point where I, yes you read this right, the customer has to help lift the hot water tank into position in my garage. I wonder if they require all their customers to help when you call and pay THEM to do THEIR work?
A few months later I call them to fix a leak in my garage, not sure if related; the first plumber comes out and feeds me total BS that I have to cut up the concrete in the house foundation, and along my driveway so the drainage pipes flow out to the city properly. I am in a track house so I think this is pure bullshit, as why is that only to MY house? I advise them with a call the next day of this and Matt says he is going to come out will ""Make it right, whatever it takes."" He gives me a time he will be out to do the repairs and of course doesn't show up on that day, I was told he would. I should have known by then...but I reach out again and he says he will be there for sure, he apologizes and promises he will be there. Shows up a day later, advises me that the other tech is wrong in what he told me (I figured that) and it requires only proper piping. He completes the job, tells me it will be perfect and will not leak (I will leave out the pics for now). I paid them their bill, even when I was told earlier by them, it would be no charge because of their terrible service I had experienced. I write a check regardless, because I feel that is the 'right thing to do!' And he takes it! Now a few months later it is leaking again. Call to their office, advise of the issue, Dino says, they will be out to my house for sure the following day between 1400 hrs and 1700 hrs. Water still leaking cause of their incompetency, and no one showed up.
I wonder what the employees of this company do when someone pulls this crap on them?
All I can say is 3 percent times is enough...Time for the BBB and anyone else I can warn of this horrible company. Don't say you weren't warned!

great customer service... great technicians..we needed a air conditioner..ty came to the house and gave us a quote ..and talk over our opitons with my husband and i ..very knowledgeable .answer all our questions..explain the process very well..we called on thrusday..ty said the technicians could be here the next day to install the air conditioner...around 8-10 ...gave my husband and i a price we were comfortable with...technicians..kurt.. todd.. anthony were right on time did a great job ....very clean...reliable....very professional.......

My husband and I have called on Family Plumbing, Heating & Air for close to 10 years. We got a new AC installed in 2010. But this summer we had some problems and they came out a few times trying different fixes. Finally it was decided that a major fix was needed and they ordered and installed the parts in a timely manner. Luckily all the parts were still under warranty. . A special thank you to George & Frank (JR) for working so hard. The house and outside areas were so hot. But today I have a ""cool & comfortable) home. Thanks.
