5/5. He explained how our water heater wasn't working (ofcourse it wasn't lit up). He didn't charged us at all. In addition, he checked our AC as well but recommended to have it checked with someone who works with ACs. Very helpful and we are very pleased. Thank you.

We dealt with the Escondido location on a pilot light issue with our furnace. The pilot light had gone out and when it was re-lit it burned very orange rather than blue. Fearing that the pilot may nee to be replaced we called this company and they sent out ""Julio"". Within minutes of his arrival he had told us that if he found any soot in the combustion chamber that the entire furnace would need to be replaced (the furnace is only 10 years old and we run it only about 2 months out of the year). He hadn't even open up the unit yet! When he did finally open the unit he of course found a small amount of soot in the back of chamber and told us that the soot was ""eating through the back of the chamber"". Um, right... how stupid do you think we are Julio? He never performed any test on the pilot light, never pressure checked the system, never leak checked the unit, nothing. He saw the soot and immediately stated that the unit would need to be replaced...to the tune of $2,900! I do not know if this was a company scam or Julio's own scam, but nonetheless we didn't buy his ""diagnosis"" and decided to seek a second opinion. We called a licensed, independent heating/AC guy (30+ years) to check out our furnace. His diagnosis was that the furnace was fine and in very good shape. He pressure checked it, leak tested it and cleaned it up a bit and viola it works great. Even a nice blue flame at the pilot light. He was appalled by our experience with Julio. Our bill... $75.00. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Plumbers In Ramona!! We returned home from our Wonderful Disney Weekend last night to a backed-up sewer system in our home. We called Family Plumbing Heating and Air, INC. We have used them in the past, they came out and said that it would be $285.00 to clear our drain, We asked them if there were any specials or perhaps any deals because we are returning customers. The technician said No. We then remembered that they charged our sons $275.00 Two summers ago for the same thing, and we were mad at them, because we remembered paying less than 100.00 when we had called them the time before that. Needless to say we needed the drain cleared and we said to proceed. I looked in the phone book and saw other companies adds some listing a $55.00 drain clear. I thought I will go online to see what Family had online, guess what? They advertise online, ANY DRAIN CLEARED for $55.00. Yet they were going to charge a returning customer $285.00. Needless to say we will not call them again!!

Horrifying expierence, poor service and over charge. No written quotes just its this much an exaggerated amount, poor work and no integrity. Do not recommend to a friend or family unless ou want to take advantage of.

Have called in the service to assess my central AC due to the AC will stop blowing cold air but warm air after a few hrs. It is very hot in the house and will be unbearable to stay in the house without the AC working. The technician upon arrival immediately quote us that the repair will cost in above $950 and no is no guarantee it will works, and there may something else that need to repair too. instead he suggested to replace the whole unit as the company is having a promotion this week for $3200 and he can install the new system as early as the next 3 days. Due to the agony heat and he looks so convincing leading us to believe that our system even though is less than 7yrs old is now a piece of junk. We have agreed on the purchase. But after 2nd thought , I decide to ask for a second opinion and quote from other company since it is a huge purchase and money is tight. The 2nd company salesman from WC heating and cooling . Peter, I will write another review on his company arrives the next day, upon assess the units, he even reluctant to recommend me a new unit as he is thinking there are no problem to the units after doing some diagnostic tests except the filter is the house is badly clogged. I never realize that we need to change filter regularly. The last time we have change a filter is more than 2 years ago. He even help me to remove the clogged filter and give me instructions to but the filter from home depot and just change the filter and he recommend to add a kick start system to the capacitor as we always need to wait for the system to start for a few minutes, he believe that is the main reason for the AC not working And he never even charged me a single cent for his visit as he is thinking he is not providing any visit or repair during his visit. I follows his instructions and now our AC is running like new, no problem at all with the cool air running through the entire house. It is so hard to meet with an honest and reliable technicians. Can you imagine I nearly get scam of $3200 with family Plumbing Heating & Air conditioning if I have never go for a 2nd opinion. In return I only spend less than $300 for everything with filter including the capacitor. Just like to share be careful to choose whoever you call.

VERY helpful & honest employees!! I was recommended by a friend & am so grateful for the referral. I don't see myself using anyone else & will be recommending them to everyone I know! So hard to find honest business owners these days but these guys really took good care of us without breaking the bank :-) Thanks for fixing my AC the honest way! :-)

Technician came out last Sept 2012 and told us we needed a new air conditioning unit. The cost would be $3000.00. My husband said o.k. gave the man ( I think his name was Dave) a $500.00 deposit. I said absolutely not & called to get our deposit back. ""Dave"" was rude & questioning me why I didn't want it done. He was asking questions not his business such as why I didn't want to spend the money!!
It took about 2 months to receive our $500.00 deposit back.
It is now July of 2013 & we decided we really needed to get the A.C. fixed.
We called another company and their technician came out. The A.C. needed 2 new parts totaling $65.00 and the service call was $65.00. A total of $130.00!!
A.C. works like a charm & didn't cost $3000.00!
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CROOKS!

We had a $47.50 coupon to service the air conditioning. First appointment there was a mix up on their end and the technician showed up an hour too early. Rescheduled and the day before was told it was going to be pushed back by an hour and half but the technician showed up early.

The technician assessed that we had an old unit and needed a new one. We insisted that he just service the A/C and refill the refrigerant. Once done the technician wanted over $240. He wanted to deduct the amount of the coupon from the invoice. He stated that he does not understand how his company can make money if they charged so little.

By the way we needed only 12 ounces of Freon and the A/C works perfectly. We ended up paying $47.50 plus $85 for one pound of Freon; I guess it is not sold by the ounce.
