Here are a few pictures of the mold infested water heater platform Fallbrook Plumbing was going to reinstall a new overpriced water heater on top of. There were literally mushrooms growing out of this platform. Please read Shirley's post in the hidden posts @ not recommended reviews. How ironic these truthful testimonies are hidden from the public.

I discovered my water heater was leaking and gave them a call after looking online for a local company. I have no complaints about the prompt response to my dilemma especially since it was right before Christmas. The owner came over within 2 hours, diagnosed the problem and got started right away. He drained my water heater & a technician arrived to continue the process of disconnecting and disposing of the old water heater while the owner went to purchase a new one. I was quoted a price of $1750 to replace & install a new unit.
Once it was determined that the extent of the leak damage necessitated removing a section of the platform underneath the water heater, it was cut out and the plan was to dry it out overnight with a fan and replace the wood hopefully the next day. Upon closer inspection mold was discovered under the soggy platform. The technician from Fallbrook Plumbing told me the mold was no big deal, that a scientist had told him that the health dangers of exposure to mold are greatly exaggerated and that he would treat the problem by spraying it with bleach and then leave a fan on the area to dry it out. Replacement of the paltform & treatment were going to cost me approximately an additional $500.
Luckily my next door neighbor, a licensed contractor, came over at this time and stopped the work prior to mold spores being spread around my home by the fan. I had another company treat the problem which included sealing off the affected areas, treatment, removal & replacement of drywall both in my laundry room and garage plus other required repairs. I subsequently purchased a tankless water heater and am very happy with it and the plumbing company I chose to install it. I ended up paying Fallbrook Plumbing $440 for the labor & materials used in removing & disposing of my old water heater plus opening up the wooden platform underneath. Funny thing though -- the narrative on the invoice I received mentions nothing of finding mold once the platform was opened up. Both the owner and the technician were here. The invoice just says my neighbor arrived and I decided to stop their work.

I would NOT recommend Fallbrook Plumbing unless you have a minor issue requiring a quick fix -- and certainly not if MOLD is involved.

We had a leak & a 19 year old water heater that needed replacing asap. Our neighbor had used FB Plumbing several times & was very happy with their work. It was a few days before Christmas & Mitch was able to come out the next day. He replaced the water heater promptly & patched the leak until he could have someone come back after New Years. Hector came out, fixed the leak & changed out a pressure valve. Great experience from start to finish. Would not hesitate to refer to family & friends. Thanks Mitch!

Fallbrook Plumbing came highly recommended by several people. We had a pressure regulator blow late on a Saturday night. I spoke to Mitch on Sunday morning and he came to give me an estimate within an hour. Spent about an hour and installed new regulator and ball valve. He checked and verified water pressure boTh inside and out. Did good work for a fair price, considering it was a Sunday morning.

Our water heater began to leak on Saturday morning, we placed a call and they were at our home within two hours. They diagnosed the problem and Monday morning we had a good quality water heater installed.

My long-time plumber recently retired, so I needed to go plumber shopping when my water heater sprung a leak. I have always had good luck selecting folks based on Yelp reviews and Fallbrook Plumbing didn't disappoint.

Mitch, the owner, returned my voice mail promptly. He gave me instructions on how to shut down the water heater to stop the leak, pending repair. He then explained CA's new code requirements: drip leg and pressure relief tank. Since I have a two-tank setup, we went over the option of going with one larger heater rather than retaining my existing configuration. Mitch explained the long-term economic benefit of pursuing the one-tank option. It made perfect sense to me.

The repair team was stellar. Hector and Kyle were courteous, efficient and answered all of my questions during the installation process. My wife and I are exceptionally pleased with the outcome, and will use Fallbrook Plumbing for all of our future plumbing needs.
