Rick and his team changed out my furnace, AC system, and water heater. They lowered the furnace and hot water heater platform to accommodate a large electronic air filter above the furnace to ensure ease of access for filter changes in the future.
Very happy with the final hardware configuration and problem solving ability as my cold air return was not sized properly by the previous furnace installer. Rick and his team enlarged the cold air return with a new insulated plenum box and matching intake grills - a truly professional finished look with AC evaporator performance to match.
I was charged a very reasonable amount for the initial invoice and additional work to reconfigure the cold air return to provide adequate airflow for the new AC evaporator. I highly recommend Rick as you will truly get a 5 star result with zero drama.
Rick was referred to me by a friend who is very particular and came highly recommended.

On Sunday, September 6th, the hottest day of the year, my A/C died. It was 108 degrees in San Ramon!

I was not sure if I would be able to get immediate service since it was a holiday weekend. I reached out to several companies. Rick Heffern, Owner, called the next day (Labor Day) at 7:00 A.M. He promised to arrive at my home between 1-5 P.M. He was there at exactly 1:00 P.M. The problem turned out to be the capacitor. He replaced the part and checked the coolant. I had cool air within 30 minutes. His price for the part and labor was extremely reasonable.

I could have weathered the heat for a few days, but I have pets and was not about to put them at risk.

I HIGHLY recommend Fairway! Rick clearly understands the definition of ""customer service"" and ""customer loyalty"".

No job is too small or too big! I will DEFINITELY utilize his services again.

My A/C went out on me this past Tues. the 20th. This was the first time in 17 yrs that I had a problem with it and I didn't know what to expect accept that I have heard it could cost me $$$$$. The heat was just unbearable and my dogs were miserable, not to mention my wife was real unhappy. I call several places and most were not able to get to me for a week and some were not even interested. I called Fairway and they told me that a tech would call me to schedule an appt. within 15 mins Rick Heffern calls me and says he'll be out today between 3pm and 7pm. The few moments on the phone with Rick told me I was dealing with the right guy. He and his asst. showed up right at 3:00pm and before he started he asked me what was happening with my A/C. I gave him a brief summary of how my A/C was working and he gave me a diagnosis right there and that he should be in and out pretty Quick. He went out side and determined that A/C unit was not the problem and the went into the attic and the temp outside was 110! He found the problem was a furnace door had not been closed properly and the filter was dirty and to top it off I had closed about 6 of the vents in the house. He added 2Lbs of refrigerant cleaned my filter and had our house cooling down immediately. The total cost was $220. It turns out that Rick is the owner of Fairway and I believe has his clients new and old best interests in mind. There will not be another company I will call for my heat, cooling and plumbing needs. Thank you so much Rick and your helper! Your Awesome!
