Its a great feeling when you encounter a honest knowledgable hard working person when your in need a some work to your house. I called fairway heating and cooling because I seen a post on social media and I haven't matinenced my ac units for some time. Caden came out and gave me a piece of mind in every aspect of my cooling system. Because of his professionalism and personality I feel 100 % comfortable going with this company for any of my A C needs in the future. Fairway Plumbing Heating and Cooling installed 2 new wall heaters at our house in Hayward back in the fall of 2019. All was great, great service and a reasonable price. Two weeks ago our tenant called saying one of the units wasn't working, that the pilot light went out and he couldn't get it to go back on. Thinking maybe there was an issue with the unit I called Fairway Plumbing. Rick went out that day. He relit the pilot, and showed our tenant how to relight it. Rick stated it could be just that with heavy winds we had at that time, or something else, we'll see. That ended up being the only problem. Thank you Rick, for dealing with the big things and the little things!

Rick responded right away to my request to get an estimate for a new air conditioner to replace my 20 year old unit (which he installed in 2002). His estimate seemed fair as compared to another estimate I received. He answered all of my questions. Rick was able to get the brand of air conditioner that I decided I wanted and he was able to get a model that had a higher SEER rating and was rated Energy Star for the same price as a base model that wasn't available. His crew arrived promptly to start the installation and did a wonderful job even when faced with some challenges. They also replaced a damaged floor vent and gas valve. They cleaned up perfectly. I am very happy with the work they did and highly recommend them.

They did a good job with installation and the price was fair. I have to take issue with the promise he made to support his product. I had a problem a few weeks after installation, and his response was call an electrician. I'm OK with that, however not after the over the top promise of him being a walking warranty. In my experience, Rick was disengeniuos. Fairway is probably still above average.

On Sunday, September 6th, the hottest day of the year, my A/C died. It was 108 degrees in San Ramon!

I was not sure if I would be able to get immediate service since it was a holiday weekend. I reached out to several companies. Rick Heffern, Owner, called the next day (Labor Day) at 7:00 A.M. He promised to arrive at my home between 1-5 P.M. He was there at exactly 1:00 P.M. The problem turned out to be the capacitor. He replaced the part and checked the coolant. I had cool air within 30 minutes. His price for the part and labor was extremely reasonable.

I could have weathered the heat for a few days, but I have pets and was not about to put them at risk.

I HIGHLY recommend Fairway! Rick clearly understands the definition of ""customer service"" and ""customer loyalty"".

No job is too small or too big! I will DEFINITELY utilize his services again.

Fairway Plumbing and Heating is an excellent dependable local repair service. My elderly mom recently had an issue with her heater and I called them and they sent Rick out within the hour to fix the problem. Great customer service was provided! I would reccomend them for any plumbing or heating issues you might have.

Rick and his crew do great work! He was at my place for 1.5 hours last Saturday to diagnose a problem with my heater. He took it apart, could not find the source of the problem, put it back together and didn't charge me anything. This was the second time I had him here. The first time he was able to quickly fix my AC on a blistering hot day. It wasn't cheap but no tech is these days. I certainly feel that I got my money's worth.

You know how you can just tell someone's just a good guy straight off the bat? I called Fairway around the same time I called a bunch of other places for plumbing quotes. Vince got back to me very quickly but not before I had booked another plumber, which I let him know at the beginning of our conversation. We chatted, he asked me a few questions and let me know what his likely course of action would have been. He then gave me a heads up on what to look out for...you probably need X but not Y, unless there's Z problem, that kind of thing. Vince also let me know that the guys I have lined up do good work, that he's known them for a long time and they have his stamp of approval. Kind, generous with his time, and knowledgeable, a real community kind of guy. He hasn't done any work for me, but I felt compelled to leave a note here because he left a real impression.
