Fairway Plumbing and Heating is an excellent dependable local repair service. My elderly mom recently had an issue with her heater and I called them and they sent Rick out within the hour to fix the problem. Great customer service was provided! I would reccomend them for any plumbing or heating issues you might have.

Rick and his crew do great work! He was at my place for 1.5 hours last Saturday to diagnose a problem with my heater. He took it apart, could not find the source of the problem, put it back together and didn't charge me anything. This was the second time I had him here. The first time he was able to quickly fix my AC on a blistering hot day. It wasn't cheap but no tech is these days. I certainly feel that I got my money's worth.

You know how you can just tell someone's just a good guy straight off the bat? I called Fairway around the same time I called a bunch of other places for plumbing quotes. Vince got back to me very quickly but not before I had booked another plumber, which I let him know at the beginning of our conversation. We chatted, he asked me a few questions and let me know what his likely course of action would have been. He then gave me a heads up on what to look out for...you probably need X but not Y, unless there's Z problem, that kind of thing. Vince also let me know that the guys I have lined up do good work, that he's known them for a long time and they have his stamp of approval. Kind, generous with his time, and knowledgeable, a real community kind of guy. He hasn't done any work for me, but I felt compelled to leave a note here because he left a real impression.

This review is for Rick's gas furnace repair service. Don't know about their plumbing services or prices.

Overall, Rick is very dedicated, professional and with great sense of responsibility in replacing the inducer motor assembly of the furnace in Union City. To get the job done, he had to make two extra trips to get/buy parts (as far as Concord) for our furnace model. He did some extra cleaning parts/filter replacement (at moderate extra $) to keep the furnace in good working condition.

I recommend Rick to anyone with Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC problems in hayward/union city/fremont area. And will use his service in the future for sure.

Our go-to plumber moved away, so when the kitchen sink backed up, we called Fairway, where Rick had given us excellent service on our furnace a few years prior. Vince returned our call within minutes and scheduled us for the next morning. He showed up on time as promised, identified the problem, and solved it within a half hour. Done.

Rick did, shut down everything associated with the furnace. He saved my life. I have a new energy saving Trane. Smoke and CO2 detectors where they are suppose to be. I have no qualms whatsoever in recommending Rick.
