We used this company for years for burner service and maintenance. Over time they became difficult to deal with. Sadly my husband hired them to install central air conditioning. It was a horror show. Came without all equipment needed for full installation, the air filter took them weeks to come back to install, they were discourteous in all interactions. This fall were were hunting for new company to purchase a service contract. Many had restrictions on how much oil one consumed. Ours us a small home and we didn't meet their requirements. This past weekend after a fuel tank refill our heat went out, reset didn't work. So trying to get someone here was a major challenge. When the fellow came he was able to remedy the problem and get the heat going. He inspected the entire system and found that the huge filter placed by fairway was installed directly above the burner snd had already started to burn. Their total incompetence put my home and family at eminent risk of a house fire,
I cannot stress more strongly,DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!. They are dangerously incompetent!
Got a service contract from them when we bought our house in September. Had a service call two weeks ago expansion tank went part wasn't covered so we paid for it plus half the labor fine no problem. I had no heat the next day. Only way it would go on was if I hit the reset. Guy comes checks and out leaves. Next day I had no heat even the reset didn't work. Called at 9 PM at night was promised a technician within 2 1/2 hours or so. Long story short after three phone calls one at 12 AM, one at 2 AM, and one close to 4 nobody ever called me back to say the technician was stuck on a call and I had no heat the whole night. They finally sent someone the next morning it was just a relay. Oh and the best part they canceled my contract on me why I have no idea!! I paid good money for this contract $400 and this is the way they treat me? Why? Were they insulted because I called answering service in the middle of the night 3 times because I was freezing my ass off????
If this is the way they treat good customers it leaves a lot to be said for their customer service.
I hired this company to do a regular oil burner maintenance. We have been in this house for 5 years and never had trouble with our burner and is in very good condition. Fairway came to do the maintenance. The man said the oil burner is in very good condition and it was a simple job. A few days later the burner is leaking oil. We of course assume it's related to the maintenance as it was just a few days later and call them to fix it. They come and have the nerve to charged us 250 dollars for a job that took 10 minutes with a 35 dollar part. The man led us to believe that he was fixing it for us without even mentioning his charges. When he is all done he says how will you be paying. We say what??? He says it has nothing to do with the maintenance but I know it did. It is too coincidental that a leak would just appear so shortly after they were here. Well they got one over on us because there is nothing we can do. He asked for $250!!! He was literally here for 10 minutes. This is outrageous as I know this part is leaking due to them. It's a shame that such dishonest people walk this earth among us good ones. I'm sure karma will get them.
Horrible. My burner was working fine, needed a simple tune and vac. The 1st tech broke my burner, the second fixed a part that did not need fixing. They then claimed it was a coincidence and wanted to charge me $250 service call plus parts. Service manager was super rude. Left me, my wife, daughter and Autistic son with no heat on a 20 degree night. Had to hire another company to fix my burner. Stay away!
Normally I would recommend this company unconditionally. This week I was verbally abused and hung on several times by their service manager. The behavior was excused. Very disappointing. Lost all confidence in company and job not finished. Very disappointing.

My relationship started with burner issues. Their techician put in the wrong relay and they had to change it twice after that. Telling me that there must be a electrical problem that i would have to take care before they would work on that part again.They were polite and professional but obviously angered about having to honor a warranty on their labor and parts it would seem. I called next for a plumbing problem and changing a flange and johnny ring they charged me 325. Stating that they could charge 75 for each part they changed. Guess they made back their money. And now i think that maybe any electrical problem i might have in my burner could hav started with their WRONG RELAY.
REALLY DISAPPOINTED
Four emergency tech visits in one year due to no heat and still no resolution. The last visit has resulted in a flooded basement. I could go on and on. Incompetence, lots of money spent and a despicable man on the phone to boot. There is absolutely no communication between techs and the office. Diagnostics would be more precise if there was some communication or research on what has been formerly done on a job. Being precise doesn't make Fairway much money, I guess. Better for them to have to come back every 8 weeks. Following my flooded basement, courtesy of the last tech, I was told I would get a call back ASAP, that was 8 hours ago. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crooks.
This was such a disappointment! Terrible customer service and management was even worse. They ran a few Gad lines and changed the boiler from oil to gas over 4 years ago I still have not received my final inspection since it failed because they did not do the job right. Now they want to charge me to fix their mistakes. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone. They agreed to cover the labor on the job and I agreed to cover the parts but when they were on their way the told me that the manager had changed his mind and was charging me labor! This was after they cancelled on me over 6 times on the day they were supposed to be there. They have no respect for their clients or their time.
DON'T DO IT!! Do not even think about taking out a service contract with these unethical people. They do not take care of their customers or care about customer retention. I've been a customer since 2015. I paid $225 for an annual service contract this year which includes a tune-up/ vacuum of my oil burner. I have not called them once for service the entire year but today when I called they refused to perform a tune-up service because they pointed out to me that it says on the back of the contract it must be performed by the end of August. Yet when I checked my records, in the past they came on 12/1/15, 11/11/16 and 10/17/17 to perform my annual tune-up/vacuum! I prepaid for this service so how come they never called or emailed me to schedule an appointment or send me a post card to remind me?? That would be the right thing to do to! Yet the secretary who answered the phone said they currently have tune-ups scheduled into November but they won't schedule one for me even though I already paid for it??? They filed for bankruptcy in 2015. Wish I would have read the negative reviews all over the internet before doing business with this company.
For reasons too long to discuss here, do not patronize this company. They do not take care of their customers. They cannot be trusted. There are plenty of other companies out there that are reputable. Please do your homework first before putting your trust in this company.
