Honest and Highly Recommended!
Our sinks downstairs started overflowing - around 7:00 PM
It had come from the upstairs kitchen - we were panicked - figured our sewer line was clogged
We got lucky and called Fairland Plumbing and Heating
They sent Adam and his assistant - they arrived in under an hour
Adam was polite and knowledgeable
They quickly determined it wasn't the sewer line, but that one of the drains was clogged on the way to the sewer line
They only charged us for the work they did- very honest and affordable
I just had to write this review!!!!
This is by far, the worst company I have EVER dealt with in terms of HVAC servicing!!!
Initially called in to get my units serviced and confirmed the price prior to proceeding with profile and appointment. On the day of service I called 30min towards the end of the window time provided to inquire what time the technician would arrived. After being put on hold, I was informed that he had an emergency and was not going to make it- mind you, I had taken time off work to have this addressed. The nonchalant apology and we'll have to reschedule response was unbelievable. The lack of professionalism here blew my mind as if a technician can take it upon himself to cancel a service and not inform his office so they can follow up with the client speaks volumes about how they run things.
Since I wanted to have the service completed despite this hiccup (giving them another chance) I rescheduled it for Tuesday. I got a call on Monday noting that a tech was in the neighborhood and could arrive in the next hour. I was excited because I was home and I did not need to take off work the next day. With Covid happening, I called to confirm that the tech would be wearing a mask, gloves and shoe covers- also asked that they prep area around units to prevent dirt and debris all over (standard).
Tracy(sp) who noted was the manager got back on the phone and in fact told me that the price provided was low (based on info from the tech) and she was not going to honor it and if I wanted then I can cancel!!! Whaaat?!? I did my due diligence by initially squaring the cost information out prior to confirming the service and now they were going to cancel if I did not accept the new cost? Don't they review their tickets daily to make sure no errors were made and also the techs work orders daily to know what service is being done and costs alight- why did it take 3 weeks and after me - the client calling to confirm service for them to be in the know? Her attitude as a manager left a lot to be desired and not taking responsibility for their teams error left a lot to be desired. I was so frustrated that I decided to cancel the service as I do not want to work with a company like this, who within the last 2 weeks have been hard to deal with on something that they are supposed to be professionals on!!! Left a distaste and hopefully the owner can change how his company is run!!!
I needed a hot water heater. Got a service estimate very quickly. The service technicians did a great job. They put in a hot water heater and a sub-pump. I am very pleased with their work. I would refer them and will call again with any plumbing or heating issues.
Victoria D.WORST COMPANY EVER! Terrible customer and management service! Over 2 weeks with no hot water and they wont come out to fix it. ""Ordered a part"" 2 weeks ago and every week its ""going to be another week till its in""! This company shouldn't even be in business. Front desk likes to hangup on customers and talk extremely rude! I guess its okay for families to go without hot water for almost a month! LAZY PEOPLE!!!
Gili G.Fairland Plumbing and Heating installed my HVAC today. They were extremely professional from the start. The quote arrived within a day, it was very detailed and spelled out everything they will do. I requested to move the AC to a further out location, which they agreed to without any fuss and no extra cost. The installers arrived on time, they were professional and made sure to cover their feet every time they stepped into the house. They put up with all my requests, even when I changed my mind, and got everything installed perfectly. I had issues with the installation of the thermostat's app, but Min, the owner, kept offering help and support until we got it to work with my phone.
I would probably have them install my hot water heater soon, and I highly recommend them to everyone. Oh, Min is always available by phone, which is another plus. Gili G.
BTW.. BGE Home came 3-4 years ago and told me that my heat exchange is cracked. They told me to get a new HVAC, turned off my gas and posted orange lables/flyers around. I purchased a Carbon Monoxide detector, which never beeped. When Fairland Plumbing pulled the old unit out today, there was nothing wrong with it. It was perfectly fine. This is BGE home scare tactics. Beware!
Eric C.One week ago, we noticed a leak in our laundry room. Our first thought was to call ""Roto-Rooter"", so we did. The plumber showed up on time and was very professional. He began his assessment of the root cause of the leak. It's important to note that the assessment was suppose to be free of charge. He asked a few question, inspected the bathrooms above the laundry room and then told us that in order to determine the cause of the leak he would have to remove the upstairs toilets. The cost of that service would be $298 per toilet. I said; ""wait the assessment is supposed to be free of charge"". He said that no matter what, the minimum charge is $298. I said that it made no sense to pay him $298 to remove a toilet. I went on to say, I will remove the toilets. He replied that he would still have to charge me $298. He went to tell me that it looked like the job could end up costing about $1,000 (para-phrasing). I said hold on, you just said you have to remove the toilets to determine what the cause could be. After about 30 seconds of silence, I politely showed him the door.
After this odd exchange, I opened the Yelp application and started looking for plumbers in Brookeville where I live. I found Fairland Plumbing. I called and asked about the fee for the assessment and was told it was free. The first plumber showed up within an hour, asked a few questions, inspected the bathrooms above the laundry room and of course inspected the site of the leak. He said, try not using each bathroom for a few days so we can pin point the leak. At the end of the few days, call us back. I said okay, shook his hand and he left (no costs). After several days, we had more information about the leak and narrowed it down to one bathroom. We called Fairland Plumbing back on Wednesday and scheduled an appointment for today. Before 10:00 pm today, Esso and Louwise from Fairland showed up. Esso inspected the leak asked a few questions and agreed with us that the leak was in the master bathroom. He cut a hole in the ceiling where the water was leaking to help confirm our collective assessment. He also went to the master bathroom and cut another hole to be doubly certain about the leak. I should tell you that each time before cutting holes, he asked for permission. He found the leak. It was a pipe that had a very small hole. I asked how much it would cost to fix and held my breath. When he told me the price to fix the problem, I almost fell out. It was the most reasonable price I and ever heard a plumber quote in my 30 years of being a homeowner. I said what about the assessment costs? He said, that is free as advertised. He said, charging for an assessment would be like asking you to buy a piece of jewelry that is in a box that you never opened. I smiled, shook his hand and said, you are officially our plumbers for life. I plan to bring them back to install a new sink, changed the shut off switch on the main water valve, and a few other items. Fairland Plumbing ""Rocks and Rules""
Derek K.I first checked another 5-star rated place to look at a toilet leak. $89 to diagnose the issue, $249 if it was a seal replacement, and you only get the $89 back IF the work is over $300. So, if my math be good like my words, I'm looking at best case scenario of a seal replacement for $338, or an $89 and fingers crossed it's something cheap and dumb.
I called Fairland Plumbing based on reviews from my Nextdoor App, and they came out the same week, no charge to diagnose. It ended up being a seal replacement, which they took care of on the spot for $147. Minh and Luis were polite, kept me informed, wore the fabric booties before entering the house (I really appreciate respecting the house), and cleaned up their work before leaving.
They made it to my contacts list - I'll use them again and highly recommend.
I was beyond happy with the service they provided. I had never used Fairland before but found them because of their high ratings on yelp.
I tried to fix an issue causing my toilet to leak by myself but found that I couldn't do it. I was stuck in a house with only 1 bathroom with a toilet in pieces and I to leave for work later in the day. I called them and they had a plumber out at my house 1 hour and 15 minutes after I called. I was amazed.
The plumber was great. Very polite and professional. He finished the work in about an hour and the price was extremely reasonable in my opinion. The work he did was great as well.
I highly recommend Fairland and definitely will be using them again.
We did an additional level to our home with a brand new gas furnace unit and a water heater. The Previous plumbing company took more than 6 months to start the project. The master plumber was never on site to check the work. We kept failing the inspection. Finally, a friend referred us to Min Han from FAIRLAND PLUMBING. We got our permit transferred over to Fairland Plumbing. We passed our final inspection today after 1 month with Fairland Plumbing. Good price, professional and excellent customer services. We feel safe and satisfied with the final result. We'll use them again and will definitely refer more business to them.
one of water pipe burst inside garage . I called them wednesday and they came the next day. A technician called me to let me know he's on his way. He came and figured out where the leak was and fixed it.
i'll use them again.
