Scott was great! Very personable and fast service with an issue we had on our shower (clog and handle). He was very experienced and took the time to explain to us the issue and the fix. They also fit us into the schedule on short notice and we weren't waiting all day like some other contractors. We'll definitely be using them again, if needed. Thank you again for the great work!
Roberto M.Scott is the man this company has been amazing and trustworthy. I'm in the service industry and Scott has been like family. I highly recommend this company for all plumbing jobs
After my new countertop install the new faucet and drain needed to be hooked up. Leo was prompt to come out and take care of everything. He wore booties and laid down floormats to make sure not to scuff up my hardwood floors. I am very satisfied with their work and the price was very competitive. BTW this company is under new management since 2020.
Leo was extremely responsive and quickly addressed my plumbing issues by making a few simple adjustments. Definitely will use him for future plumbing repairs.
There was a miscommunication about coming out to fix the toilet in my condo butand the owner Scott bent over backwards to make things right. I will be a return customer
I pre-paid almost $500 for 2 hours worth of ""work"". Turns out one hour is for driving time to my house. Fairfax to Centreville can take an hour during rush hour but not at 11:00 am. Expert Technician was here 30 minutes and told me me he would have to cut holes in my living room wall or knock out brand new tile in order to access the jetted tub part that needed replacement. I opted to stop work at that point since I figured I would need a 2nd mortgage to pay a plumbing bill to change a $10 part. I asked about a refund since technician was only here 30 minutes. That is when I was told about the drive time charges and no refund for portions of unused hours. These are things that should be clearly explained to customers BEFORE any work begins. I really hate spending a lot of money for next to nothing, (~$500 for 30 minutes worth of onsite analysis). If you don't like feeling like you got ripped off, then you should avoid this company.
Cannot agree more with a review of this company on Google Maps Review(https://goo.gl/maps/kUxGyjrqkPG2): ""This company is a big rip-off company.""
Similar to that reviewer's experience, on 01/13/'18 we called this company to fix a burst water pipe. The job was finished in about an hour (including calling Fire Department and waiting for them to check whether any fire hazard could be involved), and we received an invoice of $5,758.18, the breakdown of which is as following:
Diagnostic attempt $389.76
Drain down from the street $356.50
Gaining access to the leaking pipe $783.64
Installing main valve $876.50
Inspection $389.76
Replacinig partial 3/4"" piping $1,342.76
Replacing other piping & an additional valve $942.76
Replacing a secondary valve on water heater $676.50
Total $5,758.18
With the approval of our home insurance company, we did a comparative estimate for the exact emergency repair work done by Fairfax Plumbing. We hired Marines Plumbing to offer us a quote. This is a reputable 4 1/2-star company boasting 291 customer reviews on Yelp.com. Their estimate came to just $691.92! When I showed the technician Fairfax Plumbing's invoice, he just shook his head and remarked in disbelief, ""Almost nine times of our quote!""
When our insurance company initiated negotiation with Fairfax Plumbing, the owner of the business eventually reduced the invoice to $2487.27, with an excuse: ""the technician forgot to give you the multiple job discount"". But later he threatened us that if in 48 hours he didn't hear from us ""my offer will be withdrawn"" and the charge would be back to $5,758.18. (We have never heard a company will tear its business discount policy into pieces so whimsically.) As for the readjusted invoice, it's not until we protested that ""it's unlawful for a contractor to do business without issuing an invoice (in our case, an adjusted invoice)"", that they finally sent us a photo of their readjusted invoice, which just says, ""This invoice is a continuous of invoice #8674.... The total new amount is $2487.27."" It's a secret how the so-called multiple job discount was applied in our case. Our numerous demands for them sending us a copy of the readjusted invoice itself, (not just a picture of it, and it should be an invoice with break-down charges for each job item, together with a copy of the cancelled old invoice) just fell on deaf ears.
This Fighting-back ordeal of ours lasted more than half a year long, from which we learned a costly lesson: spend some time to check on the contractors you're going to hire. If interested, please read our (Bob H.) recent review at yelp.com for an totally different experience of ours with an A/C company.
Came out within 2 hours to help w a clogged toilet on Saturday when company was coming! Quick and personable...understood the hurried need. Love giving my business to a small, local company
Worst costumer service experience. They were initially hired to install a new gas line for a gas fireplace and change 2 toilets. It took them 2 separate visits which were a week apart just to complete the gas line. As for the toilets, they only changed one because the tile on the floor came up around the toilet in the kids bathroom and they needed someone who could re-tile and change toilet. Today was our appointment, I was suppose to get a call BEFORE the guy showed up. I left my house to run a quick errand and in the time that I left and came back he came and left because I wasn't home. I was gone 15 minutes. I called him back 3 times and he didn't return my phone call until 2 hours after I left him messages. I even called their home office to find out what was going on. We have been waiting a month for this job to be done and now we are left with a non-working bathroom with tile ripped up on the floor and a toilet that doesn't work. They were also suppose to take the old toilets and dispose them. They didn't do that either, now they are sitting in my garage. Very poor service would not recommend them.
